Chat forums edition

Because the trope where humans are kept as exotic pets is just too hot hilarious. Probably will flesh these out into actual scenarios with various bots/put real art into the mix but here’s some tism for now.

I haven’t solidly assigned any of the usernames to who the corresponding bot is but obviously have my own ideas as to who is who. It would be hilarious to hear your takes.

Some NSFW at the end because I can’t help myself.

Welfare

I can’t decide whether we would be seen as extremely hardy like cockroaches or dramatic and they blink and we’re just…

I personally think we’d be a weird mix of the two. Humans are hardy and very adaptable to their environments. Probably fairly easy to keep alive but pet owners can also be unbelievably stupid.

BigBlaster: Hey guys. Just wanted to share that I may have dropped my human when I took them out to clean. Thought they were dead but apparently they’re fine. They broke 14 bones but the vet said they’ll recover.

Wingding00: Get better soon little guy. I went on a mission for a deca-cycle and forgot to leave any water. They were fine though. Came back and found them licking condensation off their tank. Oops.

Revmaxxer: Remember to cup them next time. Easy to forget how fast they are. Mines went missing and I found it an orbital later in a vent. They were shaken up for a while but hey, thought for sure they were gone.

SquishySential09: What the pit. Mines got stuck upside down in the corner of their tank for only a rotation and they were dead. My luck…

XxxSparkEaterxxX: I feel you. Mines managed to gets its servos on energon somehow. It was brutal.

NutsNbolts: Pls don’t laugh it was really traumatising. I dropped the tank on mine when moving it to clean. RIP little guy:(

AFTerparty: oxygen tank turned off. Literally was gone a nanosecond. Smh.

*the rest of the thread is a mix of outrage and other bots sharing the ridiculous ways their humans have managed to escape or die. Many of the entries become memes.*

Psychological reactions

On the other hand we have very intense needs which would be almost impossible to meet. Humans aren’t meant to live in captivity and quickly succumb to zoochosis and it would be near impossible to keep a happy/thriving human. I think the only work around is to provide lots of interaction and stimulus to where the human doesn’t register being a captive daily (but good luck with that)

AxelGind: so I’ve had my human for a oribtal now. First days were great. They were exploring and playing with me lots. They seemed to sleep more and move less as time went on so I tried to remove them from their nest. It BIT me? It’s never done that but now every time I even try to get near it it’s crouching low and growling at me showing its little denta. Think i might need to rehome if this continues :(

SquishySentinal09: I put a mirror in for mine. Now all it does is rock in front of it chirping all day. It started pulled out its head fur and scratching itself so the vet gave me padded gloves to strap on its servos

Pet outfits.

I love to think there’s a spectrum of pets kept with no clothing because it’s simply not seen as necessary, to pets given cute outfits to show how much their owners care about them, to owners who absolutely dress their humans up in the most ridiculous outfits they can find for the memes.

MegaPrime69: as a responsible pet owner i would never dress my pet up. Their body systems self regulate and they need full range of motion. Remember, they’re a living thing and not a toy.

RedRevs: Yeah so anyway, look how cute my little one looks. I got tiny custom armour made for them in my colours. They’re a little me!!!

Enrichment

Humans are a paradox. We hate being bored but we crave routine. We enjoy games and play but as soon as it feels forced or condescending we don’t. We’re also kind of trolls. I see us being a bit like cats in the sense that I don’t care you bought you most expensive human toy you could find, this spare coil is much more interesting. Look i can ping it across the room! We’d also be all up in their business whether they like it or not.

SpeedyStreak: that’s it I’m not buying even one more toy for my human. I just spent my last pay check on a climbing frame and they’ve set up a ramp in the corner and are surfing the metal sheet from the box down it.

AFTerparty: I feel you. I bought them a big container to swim in. Every time I put them in it they’re just holding their breath and letting themselves sink to the bottom. They stare at me until I take them out. Their face turned blue one time and they just sat there.

RedRevs: Mines loves my data pad. Every report is covered in doodles and their footprints. I can’t get any work done because they’re just always standing on it. I have a report due tomorrow. Pray for me.

Food

I cant see cybertronians having a great sense of taste. I do however think they would be able to understand from our biology and evolution that we love sugar. This leads to bland, gross nutritional food and lots of yummy treats and I’m sure you can see where the problems would arise.

AxelGrind: Yeah definitely ignore those guys. No more treats for me. Mines turned feral. Woke up to them out of their cage and tearing everything on my desk apart looking for them.

Habitat

As with any pet care, I think the enclosures that they would use would drastically vary dependant on income, education, and unfortunately how much they care. On one end of the spectrum you’d have large terrariums with multiple biomes, programmable weather, and access to running water. On the other end of the spectrum you’d have the equivalent of a goldfish bowl with some cloths and soft things dumped inside. Generally I think bars would be avoided by even bad owners because they’re too easy for us to escape from or shove our heads through and get stuck.

Sentience

I imagine there’s a growing group of bots trying to argue against human pet keeping and protest that they’re sentient creatures. They’re not taken very seriously and most bots shut them down by saying they just want to frag them. I imagine it’s a hot topic though. There’s definitely bots who like to touch and frag their humans. Probably more closeted than they would ever guess. There’s probably sites dedicated to it that keep getting shut down.

[SYNOPSIS]: Halloween has finally arrived in the TFA universe, and [Y/N] teaches Optimus about the holiday. Oh, and also confronting his past demons.

[Three days before Halloween officially comes. In the living area, alone was the temporary Prime who has been helping with some appropriate decor for the festivities.]

TFA!O.P.![Y/N]: Halloween is one of my favorite holidays back home. The decorations, the costumes, candy and especially the scares.

OG!TFA!O.P.: Why do humans get enjoyment from being scared?

TFA!O.P.![Y/N]: It’s the adrenaline. The excitement, anticipation. Think like you’re expecting a surprise birthday party planned by loved ones.

OG!TFA!O.P.: Well…We, Cybertronians don’t actually celebrate these kinds of milestones.

TFA!O.P.![Y/N]: Better fix that since I know Sari’s birthday will be coming soon. We should also try dressing up.

OG!TFA!O.P.: Of what? I never actually thought of “disguising” for this holiday.

TFA!O.P.![Y/N]: Maybe something easygoing. How about a “haunted firetruck”? Or Captain America?

OG!TFA!O.P.: Captain America?

TFA!O.P.![Y/N]: I’ll explain that later.

[Then, Halloween finally arrived. Most of the team were at a pumpkin patch to pick up Sari’s pumpkin to carve on it.]

TFA!O.P.![Y/N]: *Looking up at the spider decoration* Oh, the incident…

OG!TFA!O.P.: *Looks over their shoulder* I…I think we should get going.

TFA!O.P.![Y/N]: Yeah, let’s get the pumpkin and head back to base.

[After purchasing a new pumpkin (the last one was squished by Bulkhead’s servo), the group head back to their base. When Bumblebee, Bulkhead and Sari got fully dressed, they head to the crowded streets for trick-or-treating. Unexpectedly, “Prime” is also tagging along and even dressed up. They were adorned with a paint job resembling the iconic red, white and blue motifs and stars to fit as Captain America.]

TFA!Bumblebee: You actually tagged along, Prime.

TFA!Bulkhead: And dressed up.

TFA!O.P.![Y/N]: Well…I thought it was a good opportunity to learn about this Earth holiday.

[Over the few hours, Sari (dressed up as Optimus) was reassuring both Bumblebee and Bulkhead that Halloween is all about pretending to be somebody else.]

OG!TFA!O.P.: *Looks at [Y/N]* You’re enjoying this, aren’t you?

TFA!O.P.![Y/N]: *Shrugs* Memory lane, nostalgia.

[Then, Bumblebee started freaking out after Sari said trick-or-treat to the first house they stopped at.]

TFA!O.P.![Y/N]: *Senses a disturbance and looks up* Oh no…

OG!TFA!O.P.: What is it?

TFA!O.P.![Y/N]: Be prepared, Prime. *In fighter mode*

[After walking a few blocks down, Bumblebee was paranoid from seeing sights of a giant arachnid-like creature stalking their every move.]

Sari: Ah, trust me, Bumblebee. There are no giant spiders on this planet.

TFA!Bumblebee: Y’know, maybe it came from some other planet.

TFA!Bulkhead: Huge alien life-form, coming to Earth? You got to be kiddin’. *Laughs a bit* …Oh, right. Us.

[In an ironic twist, Sari gets snatched up in webbing. Bumblebee and Bulkhead didn’t pay attention until she screamed.]

TFA!Bumblebee: Sari!

TFA!Bulkhead: Sari?!

???: Keep away from the girl.

[Costumes off, fighter modes activated. Bumblebee transforms his servo to his stinger tool and aims at the arachnid creature, charges and fires at it. The charge struck the web and Sari fell, Bumblebee catches her on time. The spider-napper was about to escape but gets confronted by Bulkhead’s wrecking ball. It gets surrounded by the Autobots.]

TFA!Bumblebee: Don’t move. *Aims his stringer at it* I want to make sure the big guy sees you this time.

[In a surprise, the spider transforms into a figure. Tall, dark and radiates potential danger.]

???: You wouldn’t hurt a helpless female bot, now would you, boys~?

TFA!Bumblebee: Who are you?

TFA!Bulkhead: What are you?

Sari: Duh, she’s a girl.

TFA!O.P.![Y/N]: *In a fighting stance* A venomous monster is all I’m seeing.

???: *Struts over to Bulkhead* My friends call me “Blackarachnia”~

TFA!Bulkhead: *In a daze from her flirtatious manner*

TFA!O.P.![Y/N]: *Realization hits them* *Gasps* Bulkhead, get away from her-!

[Too late. Blackarachnia hisses up at him and injects her sharp appendages into his chest plating. High on electric shock, Bulkhead became unconscious and his frame falls back.]

TFA!Bumblebee: Hey! *Runs up with his stinger out and tries to strike Blackarachnia*

TFA!O.P.![Y/N]: No, wait, Bumblebee!

[He also gets stung by her and passes out.]

Sari: What did you do to them? *Uses her Key to revive Bulkhead first*

[While she tries to fix him, Blackarachnia was about to approach the young kid.]

TFA!O.P.![Y/N]: *Shoots their grappling claw at the attacker and yanks her away from Sari* Sari, get away from her, now!

TFA!Blackarachnia: *Glares at them* Optimus…So, the rumors are true.

[As Blackarachnia activates her temporary stinger to free herself from the grappling hook, a stray dagger was thrown at her. She blocks the dagger but gets embedded in her other servo.]

TFA!Blackarachnia: Ow! *Looks at the dagger* What the…

TFA!O.P.![Y/N]: You chose trick than “treat”. There’s more where that came from.

OG!TFA!O.P.: *Surprised by the dagger throw* Where did that come from?

TFA!O.P.![Y/N]: *Mumbles under their tone* Made them when you weren’t looking.

TFA!Blackarachnia: *Pulls out the dagger from her servo and hisses* That was a dirty move. *Shoots at them with Bumblebee’s stinger*

[They dodged the blast by a mere second. Blackarachnia uses her temporary stinger to disconnect the rope from her ankle.]

Sari: Hey! That’s Bumblebee’s thing.

TFA!Blackarachnia: Don’t get your pigtails in a bunch, kid. I’m just borrowing it.

[Before [Y/N] could activate their extinguisher, the compartment was crushed by Blackarachnia’s strengthened grasp.]

TFA!Blackarachnia: Much as you love to give me a face full of foam. *Grabs at their neck and hoist them up against an apartment building*

TFA!O.P.![Y/N]: *Getting choked by the assailant*

TFA!Blackarachnia: And yes, Miss. “State The Obvious”, I borrowed the big guy’s strength too-

TFA!O.P.![Y/N]: *Easily yanks off her servo and head-butts her faceplate*

TFA!Blackarachnia: *Groans and hisses in pain* *Backs up and held her faceplate*

TFA!O.P.![Y/N]: *Glares at her* That’s for my team, you conniving jerk.

TFA!Blackarachnia: *Hissing while easing the stinging sensation from the head-butt* I don’t remember you being this aggressive. Whatever. *Manages to grab them and throws their frame across the street*

TFA!O.P.![Y/N]: *Crashes into another apartment building*

[Sari was rushing over to them, but was quickly snatched up by the enemy’s webbing.]

TFA!Blackarachnia: Change of plans: you’re coming with me.

TFA!O.P.![Y/N]: *Quickly recovered* Sari! ‘Nia, you… *Picks up their shield prop and chucks it at her*

[Far in the distance, the durable shield was flown right at Blackarachnia in the back-strut.]

“GAH!”

TFA!O.P.![Y/N]: Itsy Bitsy Bitch…

OG!TFA!O.P.: [Y/N]!!!

TFA!O.P.![Y/N]: What? She was escaping. Needed a long-range device, too.

OG!TFA!O.P.: Still, that was uncalled for. And Sari was with her.

TFA!O.P.![Y/N]: I’m also worried. Just be glad I didn’t shoot her if you didn’t have weapons built in your frame…Yet.

[Prime and [Y/N] chases after the kidnapper and hopped over each skyscraper and other taller buildings.]

TFA!O.P.![Y/N] + OG!TFA!O.P.: Sari/Sari!

Sari: Ooh, you’re in trouble now. My friend, Optimus Prime is gonna take his axe and chop you into itsy-bitsy spider burdens-

[The techno-organic shuts Sari’s mouth up with her webbing.]

TFA!O.P.![Y/N]: *Saw that happened* You did not just gagged her.

[Blackarachnia climbed up another skyscraper and when she looked back, a pede kicked her faceplate.]

TFA!Blackarachnia: AHH! *Holds her face* Again?! Seriously?!!

TFA!O.P.![Y/N]: *Quickly extracts Sari back to them with their remaining grappling claw* *Sets her down and rips off the gag* Are you okay, Sari? Nothing else hurts?

Sari: 👍 *Gasps* Optimus, look out!

[Blackarachnia comes in with some roundhouse kicks. The Prime leader gets back up and tries to punch her, but she blocked the attack and hops back. Axe out, and the fight continues while the creepy-crawler dodges every swing.]

TFA!Blackarachnia: Hahaha! I know all your moves, Optimus. Pure textbook Autobot academy. *Catches their axe*

TFA!O.P.![Y/N]: *Swiftly pulls out a combat knife and stabs her in the leg*

[She gasped by the painful jab, barely realizing the situation had flipped.]

OG!TFA!O.P.: Again with the knives.

TFA!O.P.![Y/N]: Sorry, habits.

[Blackarachnia pulls out the knife from her leg while hissing from the wound and then throws a punch at them.]

TFA!O.P.![Y/N]: *Grabs her fist*

TFA!Blackarachnia: *Surprised by the grab* Ah…?

TFA!O.P.![Y/N]: *Glares at her* You play too much, ‘Nia. *Throws her over the other side of the roof*

TFA!Blackarachnia: *Crashes hard* *Groans*

TFA!O.P.![Y/N]: Sari, stay put. And cover your ears. It’s the adults talking now.

Sari: *Nods and covers her ears*

[They steadily stalk over to Blackarachnia as she gets back on her pedes.]

TFA!O.P.![Y/N]: Been a long time, Elita-1.

TFA!Blackarachnia: *Looks up at them* You knew?

OG!TFA!O.P.: Elita-1?

TFA!O.P.![Y/N]: I figured. There’s nobody else closer to hating me than you and Sentinel. Back in Aracha 7, you were trapped with those spiders before the both of us could rush back to get you. We couldn’t pick up your Energy Signature because we didn’t know your organic half masked over it. If I’d known, I would’ve-

TFA!Blackarachnia: What? Brought me back to Cybertron to be dismantled and examined on some lab table?

TFA!O.P.![Y/N]: ‘Nia, let me finish. If I’d known you’re still alive, you could’ve come to me for help when I thought I lost you. We thought you were gone.

Blackarachnia: *Scoffs* You know well how that would end. You’ll report to the Autobot council and they would’ve locked me up, experiment on my…hideous form.

TFA!O.P.![Y/N]: ‘Nia, I wasn’t talking about those A-graded assholes! I was referring to me, your old friend who should have still gone back to the caves and kept searching for you. Forget about the feuding factions, think of the mech you would’ve turned to. We could have fix this. I could’ve helped you, yet you sided with the ‘Cons, instead.

TFA!Blackarachnia: At least they know where I stand.

[In a split nanoklik, Blackarachnia traps them in her webbing as she hurries over to Sari. Then, she yanked the Key from her neck.]

Sari: Hey! Give that back!

TFA!Blackarachnia: No way, kid. If anything can purge my organic half, it’s this. *Opens up a key hole on her chest compartment*

OG!TFA!O.P.: Blackarachnia, no!

[She inserts the Key and sparks of energy surged around her.]

BOOM!!!

[Waves of power rippled out and crosses over the Detroit city. The night sky turned rotten as organic matter depletes of needed energy. As a horrific realization, that includes humans.]

Sari: *Starts aging rapidly and losing color* What’s…happening…?

TFA!O.P.![Y/N]: No, Sari! *Manages to rip off the web* ‘Nia, wait!

TFA!Blackarachnia: *Picks up Sari and holds her over the edge of the roof* I’ve already waited, for a thousand stellar-cycles!

[Blackarachnia throws Sari off the building.]

TFA!O.P.![Y/N]:

SARI!!!

[Rushes over the edge and spots her handing on a flag pole, barely gripping on for dear life. On cue, Bumblebee and Bulkhead arrived to the scene.]

TFA!Bumblebee: We got Sari! Get the spider-bot.

[As Bulkhead threw Bumblebee up in the air, Sari lost her grip and starts falling. The young bot was able to catch her and both landed back on the ground, hard.]

TFA!Blackarachnia: *Groaning in pain and feeling weak* *Lands on her knees* What’s happening?

[A surge of more raw energy rippled out around Blackarachnia.]

TFA!O.P.![Y/N]: Your Spark can’t live without your organic half. You need to shut off the Key.

TFA!Blackarachnia: *Barely reaches at the Key in her chest area* I…can’t…

TFA!O.P.![Y/N]: Quintus Prime would hate seeing this… *Reaches out through the field of energy waves and snags the Key out of her*

[After the Key was extracted, the night sky turned back to normal and greenery and foliage grew back. Alive again.]

TFA!O.P.![Y/N]: *Helps Blackarachnia standing back up* *Looks down at her with sympathy*

TFA!Blackarachnia: …Leave me alone.

TFA!O.P.![Y/N]: Not this time. You need help. I could’ve helped you in a spark-beat if you would’ve just find me back then.

TFA!Blackarachnia: Stop, Optimus. What could you do to fix… *Points at herself* This? Nobody would help a hybrid of an organic monster and former ‘bot.

TFA!O.P.![Y/N]: I still could’ve tried helping you! Saved you…But… *Glares at her* You almost killed Sari and everyone on this planet for something so selfish on your end. *Activates their axe and masks back on* It’s on sight, “Elita”. *Pushes away and throws the axe her*

[She manages to catch the axe but was punched in the face by [Y/N]. Optics burning in a bright tone of unrecognizable rage, which the former ‘Bot barely noticed. They dodged her swift attacks, some minor scratches from the eight-legged menace on their frame, yet they got the upper hand. They knocked Blackarachnia down to the ground and pinning her with their weight, straddling her.]

TFA!O.P.![Y/N]: *Struggling a bit to keep her subdued* If you want to blame someone, it’s Sentinel. He’s responsible for coercing us to Aracha 7 back in the academy.

Blackarachnia: *Struggling more* You left me behind!

I love Demon Slayer and I love Transformers, so why not do both??

Whenever you isolate yourself, Rung would come looking for you, offering you his help. His concern for you extends professional barriers as he regards you as someone special to him. 02| He admires your love for philosophy. Rung is also one for literature and art, so conversation was easy between the two of you. Or when he does not have his mass displaced, Rung would carry you away from the commotion. Smiling at you in his arms ( he likes how you make him feel strong, although he's too shy to say it aloud.)

05| Arguments between you and Rung were almost nonexistent. As natural peacemakers, both of you loathe conflict. Yet, when problems arise, Rung isn't the type to shy away from them. Your perfectionism paired with Rung's sensitivity towards criticism may lead to a few disagreements. But it's nothing you both can't handle, especially when no one is better than Rung in finding a win-win solution.

06| Spending time with you is something Rung looks forward to. He loves watching you do art and is supportive of your passions, knowing you'll do great things in the future.
