Got some cybertronian forms for sigma hashed out on a whim :p!

Ratchet's cybertronian form! yes I do intend on actually using his medbay thing, no these are not to scale. His legs largely remain the same in his earth design actually since most of them aren't visible in alt and I didn't have to change them much.

Chip Chase concepts. First one is old, last one is from today trying to finalize it but I think I'll take another crack at it. If anyone wants to weigh in on how I've done his rep btw lmk I'm very open to criticism. my thing with him is I have experience with more modern disability aid but Chip's story takes place in the mid 80s so a lot of his stuff, just because of how expensive these things are, he's done DIY, like his chair he modified during remission hoping he could make life easier for the next person who had to use it.

starscream doesn't get a close up because i drew him largest :) I also drew him first which is why he's a lil wonkier than the rest I also just straight up didn't have a solid design for him yet. White Cow i did totally on a whim though idk what happened there. mainly I still need to figure out his legs.

on the note of the show's style. if i get to color or animation in any capacity this is likely what it would end up looking like, this is what i have in mind, but it's likely that i'll keep it in a mainly black and white storyboard or animatic with color only added when it's important to a given scene or to differentiate characters with the same design. I also was mainly winging colors here simply to practice.

speaking of jackie! hopefully i'll get wheeljack's new ref done soon, i'm mainly stuck on the legs as I want them to be digitigrade but still haven't settled on structure. trailbreaker though is ready to be brought into have refs drawn up honestly. maybe i should make her shoulders bigger though.

like i said, probably scrapping this. but the scene popped into my head while fixing starscream's profile. I haven't been posting a lot for sigma au the projects only a month or so in so i've not got much for it but i just liked how this bit turned out artistically i've not boarded like this before.

Sigma stuff dump

Wheeljack's Cybertronian body, I've had this idea in my head for a while now with his wings. I'll probably take another shot at this one. His wings though reach directly into subspace but it should really look more like energon or bubble fluid on a wand. and his singular toe is on the wrong side of his foot. This was yet another attempt at finalizing his design but i think it needs a bit more work before i do so.

Waspinator is now modeled off of Cuckoo wasps ^^ I.. will figure out how to color him eventually...

Hot Rod, I may take another crack at this but i love the way he turned out.

These are both Free Wheeler from Zone. I love him so much even though he has done literally nothing. he and the g1 throttlebots are probably my rarest faves...

anatomy related to primary forms of communication. There is so much lore for their language and I want to work on their vocal systems but I have no time rahh!!!!!!

Update on the project too. I'm rewriting the first episode AGAIN. And this time i'm not worrying as much about adapting the g1 pilot so directly. Sigma's goal is to take G1 and adapt it to be more coherent and interest a modern audience.. along with basically being a massive collection of headcanons. Lore writing is basically making excuses for plot holes which I'm phenomenal at but actually writing scripts is something i've never really been good at. So far I've simply been unhappy with it. As a regular episode it works but I've been failing to establish things and I think that's because my current episode 1 is based on the original episode 2. I'm retrying from the ground up but I need to brainstorm a bit more =w=

I'm also working on fleshing out the cast better, relationships and characterization. One goal I had too was to make at least 1/4th of the cast non-male. And this only extends to how their localized identity is portrayed, the only truly confirmed Earthling male identifying cybertronian is Hound. I've been trying not to make it arbitrary or characters nobody cares about. I think I've made some really fun changes though.

I may come back to the rainmakers because i'm not as familiar with them. I've at least written the high trine and welcoming committee seekers a few times now and have good ideas of where each one belongs but the Rainmakers I dont think show up until later so i haven't had much of a chance to use them or any motivation. Least happy with Nova Storm's.

Then Galvatron! I need to make a profile view of his alt.. and like a back view of his bot mode but everyone needs that still. I don't think I care enough to draw transformation sheets but I would write instructions so when the time came I can do it I don't forget the engineering. Maybe I'll put it under their profiles.

does anybody care about beast wars neo more specifically heinrad who singlehandedly kept me invested the entire show

His robot mode is so freaking stupid looking. imma be so fr the anime designs were pretty hit or miss. And Leo Convoy was kinda the best it got when it came to the beast designs at least I mean nothing tops goth Starscream and his huge goth wife tho i need to draw them more they're beautiful.

I watched the beast wars animes and beast machines a while back but i never made a post compiling my reactions because last one kinda clogged my page?

I will say though that though just general knowledge of vector sigma having time powers.. I associated him with heinrad. I was all like "oh i can put him in my fanfiction." I did NOT expect his connection to vector sigma or that he actually was different from everyone else. In fact when he and stampy reverse engineered the blentron's warp tracing or whatever it was i was like "oh wow i know they're kinda the smartest on the ship but i didn't think they were that smart. i bet it was mostly stampy's work and heinrad just kinda was there for moral support haha"

ALSO VECTOR SIGMA BEING A WOMAN THREW ME FOR A LOOP??? Theres a lot to say about this show despite it being mostly filler. same with it's predecessor Beast Wars 2, but despite how hard it was to get through i did enjoy it i suppose. Genuinely I think they did a better job than Beast Machines but that's not saying much.

Beast wars neo is why LSOTW messed me up so bad, I thought it was going to be a fun adventure where they all get to learn how to be wreckers... and i suppose they did.. i suppose they did. ALSO!! the fact they used characters from the beast wars animes in requiem.. like i at least saw stampy, scuba, and I think they based the bear's design off of Survive? I think I also say Beast Wars Neo Hydra either in the finale or attacking the throttlebots on Botania? also when they called the planet botania i lost my mind a little bit teehee oh my gosh what if she BECAME the planet?
