That's actually not true. Anyone can deal with the build-up of dead skin, oils and discharge that get stuck in your genital area and "woman" isn't a body-type so either way, I can guarantee that's not relevant.

"AFAB" also is not a body type, so its not relevant. What is, and I think what you're referring to, is having a vagina, which is why I did mention it.

Does any other transfem frequently have the self-hating urge to like, become a TERF? But like specifically criticizing only trans women and not anyone AFAB? Or I guess a "TWERF" as some people on this website say.

I'm not saying I intend on becoming this or that I want to. Just like, intrusive thoughts and feelings I guess. Seeing transmascvoicesproject take off and getting push back for that one post I made siding with the... transfeminists? TRFs? has been making me swing towards that mindset again.

I told my therapist that i want to transition/feminize and idk, maybe he was trying to lead me to say something that ue believes would convince the doctors I might have to talk to (he said he didn't care since it wasnt up to him) but i really felt invalidated by the whole experience. I kept mentioning that ive talked to people and read stuff that has guided me to my conclusion but it felt like he kept suggesting that i was being convinced somehow. He brought up how another person had been swayed towards identifying as gay rather than bi to be taken seriously but i dont think its a similar situation at all. Idk. It's been really stressing me out this whole week and it's what were supposed to talk about next time which has be even more stressed. This isn't feeling very helpful

they/them pronouns are not really neutral - as in, using they/them pronouns for someone you don’t know doesn’t automatically exempt the possibility of misgendering that person. de-gendering someone is also a thing and i feel like this disproportionately happens to trans women? like if there’s a trans woman and someone sees her and that someone decides “omg can’t assume gender gonna use they” there just seems to be a lot of transmisogyny in there??? (not that all transfeminine folks use “she.”) I understand wanting to let people self-determine their pronouns and not coercively ascribing identities to others, but the “assume they/them until proven otherwise!!!” seems like a huge cop out to me.

i am *pretty* sure i have heard/read trans women talking about this, but i unfortunately don’t have any links off the top of my head. anyway, disclaimer i’m cis.

Am I the only one bothered that there are so many posts on tumblr saying it’s okay for trans men to not present male but pretty much none saying it’s okay for trans women to not present female? We need that kind of validation too at times. Well, I do.
