Day 2 of the Transporter Technology Project not going so well, either.

I applaud my students’ creative use of gunpowder, but I will not be climbing into that cannon. Stormtrooper armor is good, but it ain’t that good.

I think it might be time to set this whole “transporter technology” project aside for a while. Or give up on it altogether.

My students are very creative, but their last proposal involved breaking the subject down to their base atoms and then reassembling them in the desired location.

I’m sure that would look cool in a sci-fi holovid, but in real life? ....Well, that’s just bananapants.

Okay, so y’all can’t be calling me in the middle of the night to fix stuff on the Finalizer when I’m asleep in the barracks at the school.

First of all, I have classes to teach in the morning and I need my rest.

Second, there’s no way I can safely pilot a TIE all the way to a ship in SPACE while I’m still super drowsy.

Maybe I should have my engineering students work on inventing some sort of transporter technology so I can travel back and forth more easily. We already have hologram board games and laser swords. Surely it can’t be that hard.

Told my engineering students about my travel issues, and split them into teams to see who could come up with the best idea for a transporter that could get a person quickly from one place to another without needing a ship. I figured we could start with a good idea and work out the science from there.

An hour and a half later, the two most viable plans were both trebuchet-based, so I think we’re going to need a few more class periods to think about this one.
