Their loved ones in town always talked about them being LOYAL + PROTECTIVE, and are remembered the most around metal chains rattling and reflecting moonlight, car speeding down a dark empty highway, crumpled papers strewn around the room. Careful, they might be more AGGRESSIVE + VENGEFUL now that they’re back.

( 1 ) What has your character been up to before arriving in Beacon Hills a year ago? >>> He was killed by Damon a while before the doppleganger curse was broken, and has only now been resurrected.

( 2 ) What do they want to do most now that they’re in Beacon Hills? What would make them happy? >>> Tyler is currently pissed off that he has been brought back to life because he was at peace and he doesn’t want anything to do with the Mystic gang again, especially that one (1) hybrid who ruined his life and that one (1) vampire that killed him but it would make him happy to see his friends again.

Keeping all his canon. Summary: Starting from being the aggressive teen jock who saw his faults and began to change himself, accidentally got his curse triggered, got turned into a hybrid by Klaus and sired to him, broke every bone in his body a hundred times to break the sire bond, became alpha to the hybrids, lost his pack to Hayley’s betrayal and his mom to Klaus’ murderous tendencies, became human again when Bonnie brought him back from the Other Side, triggered his curse again and left Mystic Falls.

He traveled a lot after he left, sometimes hunting rogue vamps with Jeremy, or helping werewolf packs. Also visited Beacon Hills a lot at this time, which was home to his cousin Scott.

Was killed by Damon during one of his visits back to Mystic Falls.

I refuse to hc that he found peace with Vicki, he did watch over Matt with her sometimes but I say he found peace with his mother. ( Or Liv if we get a Liv and the mun allows it )

He is only just back from the dead which is quite disorienting for him, not to mention he is quite displeased to be being back seeing as he had found much deserved peace, but now he was back in the world which had given him nothing but loss and pain.

When they arrived here a year ago, they were very EMPATHETIC + ADAPTABLE, but since then, they’ve been known to be more AIMLESS + NAÏVE. They kinda remind me of a nightmare you see every time you close your eyes, wanting so badly to believe in something it aches, hoping for the best while preparing for the worst, learning to recognize your reflection again.

his old pack had the ability to (and taught him how to) go Full Wolf™ on full moons (closer to tvd lore minus the killing) but they died before he ever learned how to do it outside of the full moon.  so he can’t just go fluffy Sideburn Boy™ like the teen wolf wolves do. 

honestly outside of that he’s really bad at being a werewolf.  he doesn’t really know how to detect other wolves, let alone other supernatural creatures.  still gets very temperamental, moody, irritable around the full moon. 

massive dumb bi energy.  falls in love with someone every ten minutes but he’s wayyyy too awkward and goofy to act on it first.

It is I, J once again, bringing you the crazy but lovable Kai Parker. The leader of the Gemini Coven, who escaped his prison, yet again. 

Kai has been out of the prison world that Bonnie sent him to for about a year or two, when he came back and found Mystic Falls gone he was giddy that Katherine actually did what she set out to do. He’s been traveling around trying to find witches to bring into his coven to revive the Gemini coven once again. Somehow drawn into Beacon Hills, he wants to settle and live his life in a place no one has heard of him and hopes to find a way to end merges being needed if anything its solely so his sister’s brats can’t steal his birthright from under him. And since killing them is more of a headache that he just doesn’t need it looks like he needs to switch up his strategy.

Growing up in Beacon Hills...

Jackson wasn’t even born yet when he was orphaned. His biological parents, Gordon and Margaret Miller, died in a car accident. He was later adopted by attorney David Whittemore and his wife, Juliet Whittemore.

They told him pretty early that he was adopted, changing the boy’s temperament. They wouldn’t know it yet, but that’s how Jackson started to put incredible pressure on himself to always be the best. In academics. In sports. In looks. Even in social circles. 

His peers in school might be tempted to just accuse Jackson of buying into his popularity but they can’t deny that the kid had talent. Brains inside the class too, even if he preferred using brawn to settle things outside the campus.

At the start of their relationship, Lydia and Jackson only got together because everyone expected them too. The most popular people in school got into relationships. Moreover, they got together with other popular people. So Lydia and Jackson went through the motions of a typical high school romance without the affection or the passion. Not to say though that it never eventually came. Jackson had his days when he can be a sweet and caring boyfriend. Even if at times, it gets thrown out the window again just because someone happened to see.

Leaving Beacon Hills...

Leaving to London was purely his dad’s idea. But after everything that happened, Jackson didn’t find it in himself to say no. Truth be told, Jackson was terrifieid. He asked to be turned, yes, but he never imagined that he’d become a killer. And not just killer without control. Jackson became a killer under sommeone else’s control.

The grief and the guilt crashed in him while he was in London where none of his old friends could see. During that time, people who knew him wouldn’t be able to recognize him. For a while, it looked like the old Jackson was nowhere to be found.

Jackson eventually got better. In fact, he met someone who would help him gain better control. Not as a werewolf - Derek already did that before he left for London - but as himself. That someone was Ethan.

In London, Jackson learned something about himself. There was a reason that he felt too comfortable being under the gaze of other men. It wasn’t just ego. Jackson liked it because he liked men too. More than he liked women. Did he even like other women that waeren’t Lydia? The answer, Jackson realized, was no.

After he was last seen...

After flying back to London, Jackson returned to the flat that he shared with his loving boyfriend, Ethan, where they both celebrated one more anniversary together or two. After finishing his secondary education, Jackson devoted time to earn a certificate to become a personal fitness trainer. And in his free time, he tracks omega werewolves with Ethan.

He told the others that his trip back to Beacon Hills was supposed to be nothing but a short trip so that he can report to Scott personally about their progress. In reality, he missed the little town. Even if he didn’t desire to live there again, it was nice to be reminded what it felt like to be a big fish in a little pond. Sure, Jackson still gets people to turn their heads in London but in Beacon Hills, Jackson was a star. Even though he has grown in the last few years, Jackson wasn’t that humbled. When it was time to hit the road, Jackson found that he couldn’t. Not without feeling immeasurable pain and nausea.

It would be hard to find someone feeling more trapped in Beacon Hills than Jackson. Yes, Beacon Hills used to be his home. But it hasn’t been for years, especially when he has made a new one some place else. With someone else. Trapped in Beacon Hills without being able to get to Ethan who has  mastered how to temper him, Jackson feels like he’s slowly reverting back to his old self. To distract himself during the times that he’s unable to harrass his friends to find a solution to their problem, Jackson got a job at the Beacon Hills Recreational Center as a Personal Fitness Trainer.

Right now, all he wants to do is help his friends solve their little situation so that he can get back to the man he loves. And if they can’t… well, Jackson will just have to act on his own, won’t he?

✹☾✮ ( vanessa morgan. cisfemale. she/her ) It seems that WREN SHEPHERD has been drawn to Beacon Hills. That’s probably because they are a 28/UNKNOWN year old UNKNOWN. When they arrived here a year ago, they were very KNOWLEDGEABLE + CONVIVIAL, but since then, they’ve been known to be more RECLUSIVE + FINICKY. They kinda remind me of feeling homesick while being at home, always feeling out of place and not belonging, looking in the mirror and not recognizing yourself, bright and colorful fairy lights. ( r ! )

last but not least the last addition to my five musketeers, is my sixth musketeer. 

wren in some sense has always felt out of place, a sense of not belonging.

some may use the term “old soul” whereas she takes it literally and feels as if she’s been around for a long period of time. unsure of why or how she knows this, but it’s just the feeling she has always felt. and that it’s longer than others, and it’s why she doesn’t really “fit in” because after such a long time could you really fit in ? 

it’s why she has such a hard time letting people in because it has to be hard getting close to people if you feel like you’ve been doing this exact thing for a long time. getting to know people and then.. somehow outliving them. and everyone you’ve known at one point. not that she knows this, but it’s the real reason behind making it so hard to get to know people.

wren is one of those kids who has never known her real family. she was adopted at a young age by a couple who couldn’t have kids of their own. so she was their bright light, their everything. they gave her everything and anything she wanted.

but she still felt like an outsider. out of place. like she didn’t belong. her adoptive parents have always been upfront with her explaining that despite the adoption she is their daughter.

when she graduated high school she couldn’t figure out what she wanted to do, nothing seemed right. not odd jobs, not part-time jobs. it was like a sense of her constantly trying to find herself. who she is.

she does like singing and often in her hometown performed at open mic nights, and in general. it’s how she got money because it was easy for her, something that felt..natural.

she even worked part time as a lifeguard at one point in her life, that also felt somehow right.

but she’s trying to figure out what her purpose is, who she’s supposed to be.

throughout her life she has kept very little, only enough to fill two suitcases and her prized possession old car. both of which have traveled with her to beacon hills.

a place that alone by name drew her to it and wanted her to visit.

she’s not certain what she’ll find there, but she wants to find out.

wren can very reclusive at time & afraid to let people get close, she’s not sure why but she has always been like that.

she can also be very fickle, in a sense that it’s hard to get a proper read on her at a first introduction. although she has a vibrant light about her, it’s probably because she doesn’t even know who she is.

✹☾✮ ( emeraude toubia. cisfemale. she/her ) It seems that DESTINY VALERA/MARA has been drawn to Beacon Hills. That’s probably because they are a 26/UNKNOWN year old DEMON. When they arrived here a year ago, they were very CURIOUS + RESOURCEFUL, but since then, they’ve been known to be more CONNIVING + MANIPULATIVE. They kinda remind me of being afraid of the dark, the monster under the bed, a creaking door in an empty house, reliving your worst moments over and over again.

Destiny was born and raised in Beacon Hills all her life. She was the quiet type, keeping her head down and studying hard, and helping out where she could. She would babysit and tutor kids younger than her to earn her allowance, volunteered at the library, and was just generally a good girl. While she at first considered staying close to home and going to community college, her parents told her she should move away for college and learn about herself, and what she wanted in life. After college, she travelled around a little, visiting different countries, before she decided she wanted to move back to Beacon Hills for a little while, settle down and figure out where she wanted to go from here. She never knew of the supernatural secrets that the town hid. It was always home to her, a safe place.

Until she stepped into town, and Mara attacked.

Mara is a demon of unknown age, one of Lilith's many children, loyal to her and Lucifer, her only purpose to do the bidding of her mother, causing chaos and destruction, seducing and manipulating humans and other susceptible creatures to do her bidding, making herself irresistable to them. Sometimes she has reasons for the things she does, other times her only aim is to cause as much chaos and pain as is possible. She loves to strike fear into people's hearts, moving objects in front of their eyes to fuck with those not in the know, whispering terrible things to people as they sleep, filling their minds with suggestion and nightmares. She was locked in hell for the longest time, finally being freed, and ready to learn about what the world is like now, and reach her full potential. Ready to watch the rivers run with the blood of those who refuse to kneel to their new rulers. 

Taking on Destiny’s body, she is also able to access her memories, and knows how to ensure she blends in, that she has the same friends, the same ties to the community. Within the confines of her own body, Destiny is screaming in fear, begging to be left alone, and Mara hears it all, mocking her. She knows the girl is fighting, but doesn’t believe she’s strong enough to ever break free.

Intro - Kaleb Rayne

✹☾✮ (gregg sulkin. cismale. he/him ) It seems that KALEB RAYNE has been drawn to Beacon Hills. That’s probably because they are a 23/23 year old ALPHA WEREWOLF. When they arrived here a year ago, they were very ENTHUSIASTIC + DRIVEN, but since then, they’ve been known to be more STUBBORN + CYNICAL. They kinda remind me of making up for your father’s sins, fighting instinct for control, warm smiles, and a nostalgic longing for blurry memories. (ra. 20. est. they/them ) 

History 

- The middle child born to the Alpha of the Rayne pack - a family feared and admired for their commitment to their animal side - Kaleb grew up living mostly off the grid with his family. He went to school to avoid suspicion, but they avoided going to town if possible outside of that. The pack hunted humans unashamedly; they were the enemy - inferior in the eyes of their alpha. As a consequence, almost every wolf over the age of 10 had blue eyes, Kaleb included. He was taught by his father to enjoy killing, to enjoy the thrill of the hunt and the way it felt to take a life, but secretly the whole thing made him feel ill. There was nothing enjoyable about watching the life leave the eyes of a creature so similar to him, he didn’t want to kill humans.

- When he was 12, a group of hunters attacked their pack during dinner - blowing wolfsbane in through a cracked window and killing everyone inside. Well...almost. Kaleb waited until the hunters were convinced they’d finished the job before dragging himself from the house barely alive and taking off in one direction, never looking back. He ran for a few hours at which time everything really sunk in as the adrenaline wore off. His pack was dead, his family was dead, he was the alpha now, and he refused to make the same mistakes his father had. He would build a new reputation to go along with his last name, one he could be proud of. 

- Alone and devastated by the loss of well...everything, he entered the foster care system and was taken in by an aging couple who’d never been able to have children of their own. They were drawn to his determination and eagerness to succeed wherever possible - especially in school which he harbored a passion for as soon as he was able to really give it the time he wanted to. Knowledge was power, he and his family had chosen to live in ignorance for too long and he wanted to know everything he could about humanity - about the side of himself he’d never had the chance to harness. 

- It was hard, but eventually he was able to get a firm handle on staying human and not giving in to the instincts that had driven his life for the first 12 years. He threw himself into his studies and took to the couple as if they were pack, building his life from the ground up all over again. By the time he’d finished his higher education, they’d both died leaving him alone once more. Having been left most everything in their will, he decided to stick a pin in a map and go wherever it landed, which just so happened to be Beacon Hills.

Present Day

- Fresh out of College and in a town where he knew nothing and no one, Kaleb got a job at a local bar - The Water Hole and used some of the money he’d inherited from the passing of Crystal and Robert Brown to rent a decent apartment a few blocks away. 

- There’s something weird about Beacon Hills, he knows it. The last time he tried to leave city limits to visit with the alpha of a pack his father had broken ties with, every one of his instincts had told him to turn right back around so he had. There was something disorienting about it and he has a feeling it’s got a supernatural element to it. 

- He plans to talk to the local pack - the McCall pack, he’s been told - about sticking around for a while since he’s on their terf. 

- For the first time in a while, he’s been having nightmares about the day his pack was murdered. He relieves the event in snippets of disorienting color and wakes up gasping for breath like wolfsbane is destroying his lungs all over again. It’s unsettling to say the least and he hopes to get to the bottom of it before he can’t stand it anymore. 

Personality

Kaleb is an outgoing and generally polite person with the drive and determination to get whatever task he sets his mind to done and done well. He’s quick-thinking and eager to learn both from his own mistakes and other’s, well aware that he doesn’t know a lot about the world all things considered. 

However, he can be cynical and stubborn,  automatically thinking that the people around him have only the worst intentions - a habit he’s trying to break himself of.

 While not necessarily nice, he’s not rude or blunt. His curiosity can also get him into trouble at times, especially when he decides to stick his nose into other people’s business. 

Headcanons

- Kaleb still has a tendency to overdo it with food considering he was often hunting for it when he and his family were living off the grid. Really, he always feels hungry and he has to limit the amount of food he keeps around the house. 

- He loves learning, both in school and outside of it. Kaleb’s eager to absorb whatever information he can in order to better himself as both a person and an Alpha. 

- He resents his father for the way he was brought up and for the ruthless and negative connotations he brought to his last name. The death of the human he killed on his tenth birthday still weighs on him along with the deaths of his family members. 

- Being an alpha without a pack was almost unbearable at first, especially alongside being a kid without his family. The weight of his loneliness and failure were almost unbearable and while they still persist to this day, it’s to a lesser degree. Or at the very least, he’s desensitized to it. 

- He’s very tactile. He doesn’t even realize it most of the time, but he is. Physical affection momentarily fills the void his pack left. 

- He’s had friends, exclusively human friends for the past eleven years, but they’ve never been close enough to feel like pack. His foster parents were the closest thing he’s gotten since the day the Raynes were murdered. 

- Since he joined the human world, so to speak, he’s kept his wolf under lock and key. He went from one extreme to another and has yet to find a healthy equilibrium.

✹☾✮ ( khylin rhambo. male. he/him ) It seems that MASON HEWITT has been drawn to Beacon Hills. That’s probably because they are a 20 year old HUMAN. When they arrived here a year ago, they were very SUPPORTIVE + ENTHUSIASTIC, but since then, they’ve been known to be more ANXIOUS + CAUTIOUS. They kinda remind me of coffee at 3am, the smell of books, and late night adventures. ( tommy )

HISTORY

Mason Hewitt was born to two parents who loved him a lot, it sounds pretty cliche when you think about it. But there’s not really much to say about it. They bought him his first car, they made sure he was happy and healthy.

He met Liam in Elementary school during the 3rd grade, they’d been assigned to work together on a project and Mason had become increasingly aware of how much of an idiot Liam was. It was at that moment, at just 9 years old. Mason had decided he would protect this young..impressionable..but idiotic boy with his academic life and that’s how Mason ended up letting Liam copy off of every test and homework assignment he ever turned in. After of course, carefully editing it so it wasn’t considered plagiarism 

Once they’d gotten into High School he’d somehow managed to instill into Liam at least some basic educational knowledge, he had hope yet.

Then of course..he didn’t. To this day Mason still finds himself lending his knowledge and skills to his best friend, but of course. He really wouldn’t have it any other way, they were inseparable and what they had? It worked. 

PERSONALITY

Mason has always been supportive of his friends, overly enthusiastic at times. He’s always prided himself on being clever and rational. Though at times stress can get the best of him and he gets in over his head

He loves to study, especially with Corey late at night. If they end up making out during a study break so be it

After finding out that Liam needed a distraction with the berserkers that one night. Mason has always decided he would help Liam no matter what time he called. This leads to them often times staying up late, playing video games, and eating lots of junk food. Even if he has class the next morning

His special skill of being able to find Corey even when he’s invisible has only gotten better over time. He can now find Corey effortlessly when he’s invisible. 

Years ago when Liam’s parents were getting a divorce, his best friend practically lived at Mason’s house. He had a tree house in his backyard and they had sleepovers in it almost every night. One night during a full moon of all things, they made a special pact to always be like brothers
