ume's new backstory creates a bunch of parallels to rudo (which might be why i love it so much bc im a sucker for a ship that parallels each other) but anyway im writing them all out now so you can all appreciate it too

- both got their vital instrument from a parent who was trying to help them with it

- we're both there when that parent died

- both are living by said parent's dying message to them

- messages they took away where almost perfectly inverted (rudo: kill people - ume: abandon violence)

- rudo's goal is to kill the person who killed his father. ume HAS killed the person who killed her mother.

- rudo: goal is to kill, has never killed - ume: goal is to avoid violence, has killed

- both of their intentions are with the end goal of changing the world

Hi! Will you translate the preview of Fushimi and Yata's novel?

Hello, anon! :)

I am not quite sure yet. I realize that there are other translators out there who always did an amazing job with the novels’ translation or short stories such as trashbunny, zeheart, tsukareteru-tako, marchen-v-friedhof, capioilla, chilly-territory, etc.

I am pretty sure one of them, at least, will do the translation of Fushimi and Yata’s novel. 

Since I don’t have much time on my hand and mainly because it wouldn’t be correct of me doing work that other people have been doing for very long now. Furthermore, I am certain that all these amazing people can do a five start translation, like they always did with the other translations. :)

However, if you are interested, tsukareteru-tako already did an english summary of the preview of the novel. You can check it out here if you haven’t. :)

Cherish: What Pokemon do you love the most?

AH... that's a tough question! I tend to get really attached to whatever pokemon end up in my team, because then they have a history behind them and aren't just a design. uvu So um, right at this moment I'm really attached to my Azumarill in X. He (well, she at the time ahhh marill gender switches) almost didn't make it onto my team as an azurill, I'd just caught him because he was cute, but he leveled up really fast thanks to EXP Share and quickly eclipsed my other water type when he evolved (straight into an azumarill because it took so long for him to evolve into a marill haha whoops). The Fairy typing really made him useful and aaahh i just love him a lot ;v; he made it to level 100 without me even noticing because he just leveled up so fast HAHA

1. How are you doing today?

Great! But that says nothing special, it's my general mood, haha~

2. What’s something that makes you feel calm?

Hmm... I'm a calm and relaxed person by nature, but I think I'd name drinking tea and cooking as two activities that generally max it out~

3. Do you like cats?

They're alright! I like them about as much as any animal in general, but I'm not even half as much of an animal lover as... 99% of the internet, hahaha.

4. What’s your favorite story (in any media)?

Uhhh, it would be really really hard for me to pick a single one, simply because of the sheer amount of things I've read and watched and gotten into! But I guess maybe the Dune series by Frank Herbert, in a way? I read it first when I was definitely too young to understand it fully, but it still left this... really strong amazing impact somehow. And then, when I re-read it years later, I was pretty mind-blown by how complex it could be.

5. What sort of things would you like for your birthday?

To be honest, I tend to be at least a little curious or interested in a lot of things, so basically any kind of gift I got would be good with me? It's more fun if it's a surprise anyway! And a gift is also not about what it is, but about being given and received in the first place. c:

6. What was something someone did for you that you really appreciated?

Woahhh, tricky question! When it's a serious matter, I'm beyond hopelessly bad at both asking for help and accepting any that's offered (and in many cases helping me out of the blue feels more offensive rofl), uhh... This is gonna be... vague... But I guess when people stuck to their principles instead of keeping their mouths shut out of fear or worry?

7. What are your favorite colors?

Green, and white if it counts~

8. Do you ever have lucid dreams?

I did... maybe twice in my life? I don't dream much that I actually remember in general.

9. What sort of humor do you like best?

I'd say it has to be somehow clever? But then again, I often feel dumb when I'm joking anyway, so... Freestyle? Natural? No idea! Lmao.

10. What are your favorite games to play?

Anything that involves organized logic and/or strategy~ Basically, I prefer games you win based on skill to those based on luck. (Or, if we're talking about video games, RPGs or other games that heavily focus on the story and characters.)

11. Which are your favorite Pokemon?

I'm unfortunately the only person or something who never had much to do with Pokemon, even as a kid. I just never got into it... so I can't answer this, haha, sorry!
