Clogged Arteries Treatment - Garlic, Ginger & Lemon Cures Clogged Arteries
Conservation continues on this Stele of a Standing Buddha and we’ve recently discovered this Buddha has secrets. X-rays were taken of the carved Sandstone stele to determine whether previous repairs used metal pins to join the broken pieces. Because it‘s so large, Conservators had to take a more than 10 separate x-rays to examine the different areas of the Buddha. The images revealed at least 9 pins within the body of this 4-foot sculpture. Metal pins were used to add stability to repairs, however over time the metal can corrode and expand, damaging the surrounding stone. This diagram will be examined as we decide the next steps in treating this interesting piece.
