I don’t ship them romantically but I loved their interactions in ep7 and ep8. Can see them being extremely weird about each other, especially after Legs turned Abolish.
legs being the only person abolish lets his guard down around just for him to fucking DIE,, ough

1.) abolish is the reason why the relationship is weird. legundo is trying to avoid being any amount of creepy or odd towards abolish while abolish is saying "you should punch me again." with a completely blank expression 2.) age gap yaoi. legundo looking in the mirror at himself like "am i weird? im dating someone half my age" while abolish is smiling and giggling alone in his room thinking about making out with that old man. legundo feeling nuclear amounts of guilt about everything FOREVER 3.) TOXIC YAOI. they respect each others skills and intelligence while also completely disagreeing about fundamental aspects of their ideology. theyre the only people they would ever be remotely vulnerable around but also the last people they would want to seem weak towards for fear of it being used against them, for fear of being judged by each other. first base is using each other to destroy yourselves, fifteenth base is having an actual conversation abolish needs to save legundo from owen. get him OUT of that terrible toxic relationship. veylocke the fuck in abolish GET LEGUNDO OUT OF THERE 4.) legundo is one of the people abolish cares about and trusts the most out of literally anyone in oakhurst, and vice versa. they are some of the only competent mfs there and they work together incredibly well 5.) do you think abolish felt it when legundo died. do you think he understood how legundo felt in his final moments. do you think he felt the sun on legundos skin before the closest person to him was gone forever. do you think he, even for a moment, wished hed focused on something other than his work just once so maybe, just maybe, legundo wouldve made it out alive. do you think he cried for the first time in years. do you think that even after being cured, he still feels like a piece of him is forever missing?

Something something even ground something something letting the other take the lead. There's a mirror of a past self one way and a rare person worth keeping in the loop the other way. They're both soldiers and both capable of so much violence. It's entirely neutral to one and the worst thing to the other. They both prefer peace all the same.

THEY BEEN THROWING BRICKS AT US AND I NEED MORE BRICKS!! Cleo's relationship (platonic) with the doc is a special. It what help Cleo not to become well NOT SUICIDAL!! Ive seen some of their dynamic but I mostly with Cleo being a side character! I NEED MORE OF CLEO AND LEGUNDO!!! With them supporting eachother though hard times With Cleo helping doc getting thought his PTSD and tell him to stop being stubborn and stupid xD And doc to help Cleo self-worth and image reminding her that she worth the time and effort!
Could they fix each other? …Not by themselves, no. But they DO get each other in a way the rest of the cast doesn’t really get them, thanks to the Massive Kill Counts They Feel Incredibly Guilty About. Late nights from nightmares turn to kissing maybe?

THERE'S ONLY LIKE THREE WORKS OF THEM ON AO3 AND IT'S FRANKLY CRIMINAL. genuinely cleogundo has so much going for it. the way their characters parallel each other and grew from knowing each other, just the general way they gradually end up respecting each other, cleo literally writes doc letters postmortem for heaven's sake. this is the real doomed yaoi. or well doomed M/NB, i don't know what you'd call that
Those two were the only sane people in oakhurst. Also the most powerful, being the mayor and the only doctor in town. The stress of managing a town in crisis has got to have brought them together
the voices of reason, the calm parents of the town, trauma sharing and trauma bonding, they can love each other in a way the others couldnt
only just barely a rarepair inasmuch as that it is not the most popular ship for either of its participants (that's not true, it is a rarepair, but it shouldn't have to be). each other's most important people. deep-seated trust. both attempting-- and struggling-- to move on from the atrocities of their pasts.
THESE GUYS!!!!!!!! RAHHHH‼️‼️ theyre both trying SO hard to amend for their mistakes and help each other. legs is one of the only people cleo trusted to know they were a vampire initially…. theyre both trying to improve the world & their outlook on it. they try to support each other in the little ways. checking in. simply understanding and listening. just helping and trying to keep each other sane. they make me explode.
genuinely im obsessed with their dynamic. everything they have going on is so interesting. their bi4bi swag gives me joy. go my cleogundo.
So so so so suicidal. Both were forced to commit unspeakable horrors, both believe they don't deserve good things, both SO tired… Both with a Person they followed to their end….. Not to mention Cleo being the one legs trusted enough to both ask to turn him and kill him in the end
