Now this was something Roderich was definitely not used to in the slightest. He so rarely interacted with anyone, let alone someone with this sort of… personality.
Caught off guard, the siren failed to find words for a moment as he tried to process the fact that a faerie who he’d literally just tried to kill was acting smug and flirting with him. “Don’t– You cannot simply make comments like that! I’m only not attempting to end your life because I find you confusing and I needed answers to why you could resist my spell.”
With a huff, the siren shifted in the water, his tail swishing anxiously beneath the surface. “And don’t push your luck. You do not know the extent of your power. Perhaps my song is stronger than your magic, if I persist at it. You are not yet safe.” In fact, one more comment like that and Roderich might just decide to drown him regardless.
“Okay.” Francis shrugged his shoulders and held up his hands in mock surrender. At least he knew when his advances (jesting or not) were welcome. He’d rather not have to fight with this siren--not that he wasn’t confident he could hold his own, but because he wanted to talk, at least. They were turning out to be a rather interesting character.
“I’ll be glad to answer any other burning questions you might have,” a wink, he couldn’t help himself, “as long as you don’t try to...drown or eat me, whatever it is you sirens do.”
