You always insist you’re “not really a cook.” Trey, who has personally watched you freestyle a recipe from feel alone, simply hums and smiles
You’ll wander into the kitchen, after seeing a dessert online and go: “I think I could make that.”
You don’t measure. You eyeball. You substitute ingredients without fear
Somehow… it works. Every. Single. Time.
Trey is obviously very impressed, he cannot fathom that you never look anything up and it still turns out amazing
“You sure you don’t bake?”
You shrug. “I dunno. I just… try things.”
He starts hovering while you cook, not wanting to correct you or anything but just to observe how you work in the kitchen
When something turns out especially good, he’ll quietly write the recipe down exactly as you made it, notes like “they added cinnamon on impulse here.”
He loves cooking with you because your ideas somehow always work and he loves spending time with you like this
Jamil Viper
The first time you say you’re “not a good cook” Jamil raises an eyebrow and mentally prepares himself for a kitchen disaster

“I can’t! I just mess around.”

If something goes wrong for one, he tries to help you “Next time, do this.”
He’ll remake your dishes later on his own time, trying to recreate your choices (it never tastes quite the same)
When you cook for him specifically, he gets soft about it
“You didn’t have to do that” he says, eating every last bite
Deep down, he loves that your cooking isn’t about perfection or following rules and instead is just done with heart
Vil Schoenheit
When you say you’re not a good cook, Vil immediately clocks it as false modesty
He watches you experiment like everything is gonna turn out fine no matter what you put in there
“You cook by instinct” he notices “That’s rare.”
He will comment on your presentation usually, but never like harshly or mean “The flavor is excellent. Let’s make it look as beautiful as it tastes.”
Vil absolutely believes cooking is an extension of self-care (a good diet is very important)
Gets a bit worried when you just start constantly making sweets because you saw them somewhere (sometimes you don't even plan on eating them but just want to see if you are able to make it)
Has a hard time refusing you when you ask him to taste something, and will always taste what you are making and giving suggestions
He loves when you cook together, him making sure that the meal is balanced and good for the body while you are just experimenting around

RIDDLE
when you first were assigned to his dorm, he couldnt help but notice you were the most rather..reserved, amongst all the first years. Not much to say, and not much to add when spoken to. You were curt, and straight to the point. Which made it a little hard to understand your character.
It had gotten to the point that prior overblot, he just assumed you were way too dismissive. You followed the rules, but at the same time it almost seemed like you never gave a rats ass.
He did however, notice a shift after his overblot. You became closer, often offering your companionship and such to help him get things done. Using your anemo vision which he won't comment on (he realized he wont get responses about it whenever he asks) to help him out every once in a while.
He has come to realize over time that you are quite the caring individual, especially when the two of you had to speed down the hallway just to barely avoid him. (you took the fall for riddle and ended up getting squeezed, he will remember your sacrifice)
Despite your cool persona, he can see in the little gestures is where you show vulnerability and care. Grounding him with subtle movements, or even his name when he loses his peace.
Riddle really appreciates you, even during his darkest hours
TREY
Trey was able to pick up on your true nature almost immediately after watching you for a while (not in the creepy way, the glances and small interactions are what count)
It may seem hard for others considering you dont show many other expressions other than curiosity openly, but Trey watches the way your ears twitch here and there at a certain remark, or even the way your fur stands on edge too. He finds it endearing to say the least. Of course he wouldnt say that out loud unless he wants to be minced meat.
Your glares are serious, he realizes
You often act as his little helper, similar to Riddle but a little more open with him. You have so much on your mind, yet so little to say, he also realizes. He really likes your sarcastic tone too. It could be a life or death situation and you would say the most craziest thing with the most deadpan face he cant help but sweatdrop and hide the smile fighting to take over his face.
Sometimes you help with baking, and your special dish? He really likes having you as his test taster. He remembers the oyster sauce prank he pulled on you. To say he hasnt seen your face twist like that in a long while is an understatement.
He realizes that you are often withdrawn from most conversations and kept to yourself at events. Trey liked to make sure everyone has fun and isnt even overlooked, so dont be surprised when he finds himself at your side with a teasing smile and slight encouragement to interact with your peers.
CATER
Cater is in some way, similar to you. With the reserved side of his personality and secrets that he carries, not many people would pick up on it. Outside of that, hes the flashy magicam guy that has "social butterfly" as his middle name. Compared to him, your just a quiet, cool and a cucumber type of person who would much rather keep to yourself.
When he finds himself overwhelmed, he finds himself in your dorm room and lays on your couch like a victorian woman who just found out the duke she was supposed to marry indeed, has a mistress like the rumors stated. Hand covering his forehead and a distraught expression as you sit across from his with a clipboard and pen in hand.
"[name]! its too hard being famous sometimes yknow..?!"
"Your alter ego, please"
"..You hate me" he sighs "but anyways, you know what the dorm head asked me to do earlier? Sevens, as much as I hate to admit it, that was so annoying-"
He respects the fact that you dont overexaggerate the tiny details and get straight to the point. No theatrics to make yourself seem interesting, just honest truth.
You guys have the type of dynamic where you somehow end up rubbing his shoulders while he vents all his troubles to you. You'd be lucky enough if Riddle doesnt catch you both

Lets be real, ace is a real jackass. At first? he thought you were just some boring stuck up for Riddle because you didnt want to get collared like the rest of them, and if theres anything that he hates? Its stuck ups.
Due to his natural little shit act that he has tatted on his soul since birth, he's going to try his best to rile you up any second. He won't lie, he likes the sass thing you have going on. Sometimes the banter gets to petty to the point you start tripping him over your tail, and he sneaks up on you while you're doing something important.
Ace started to really warm up to you when Riddle collared him and you spoke up for him, trying your best to convince Riddle that it wasnt necessary to keep him collared for this long.
He still messes with you though. So don't think for a second because hes gone a little less hard on you that your scot-free. He feeds off the fact that you don't entertain his foolishness and thrives
It literally fuels him like his next high, and you cannot be stressed enough.
He doesn't mind you being standoff in a way however, its the fact that he knows you care in your own little ways, thats what really matters to Ace.
He's a softie, and always has your back. Just refuses to acknowledge it, especially when you point it out? Its like an outrage and he just bursts into red.
DEUCE
Dork #2
At first, no lie, Deuce was scared of you. Not in he sense that he was scared of what you were capable of, but in the sense that he was scared of your silence.
It was like it had its own presence, a calm before the storm type of thing but you woulds never know when the storm was coming. He's like "[name] are you..okay?" and then you would just blink at him and he would start sweating and becoming even more nervous by the second.
There will be moments when he gets hot-headed and allows his delinquent nature to take over, so hes grateful when your there to ground him. Your like a parental figure to him, so color him surprised when he found out you were a first year just like him.
He gets really happy whenever you praise him too, which is rare, but you've come to realize that deuce is too much of a sweetheart and you give credit when its due anyways. No harm done
Sometimes he tries to be as level headed as you and ends up fumbling over his words, you cover for him when that happens and he couldnt be more grateful.
Trey has really good reflexes for catching things. Mainly cuz when he was a kid he was in charge of keeping chenya from pushing things off tables (or at least making sure nothing breaks)

trey definitely is husband material, he knows how to bake and cook. what else can he not do? he definitely would know how to make you feel better while you’re upset, and even compliment every second he gets to because he knows how to treat someone right. he’s most likely the type to spoil you with treats, even if you tell him that you’ll gain weight with the many treats he gives you, he’ll reassure you that it doesn’t matter cause he’ll always love you for you. top tier husband material here.
jamil viper
he is the only man you’ll need. he’s a all in one person.. jamil definitely can always cook for you, he’ll know how to take care of you. he always gives you forehead kisses too. if he has managed to keep kalim safe and alive for this long, you’re basically secured for life. there’s not even a need to get life insurance, jamil has your back as your s/o. he can be overprotective but only because that’s how much he cares for you.
malleus draconia
you’re definitely covered for life. malleus isn’t going to let harm reach you on his watch, after all he is the ruler of briar valley. he just isn’t going to let you go off on your own when you’re with him. malleus is sweet, caring and loving so he’s also a all in one husband material. another one of the top tier list best he DEFINITELY knows how to treat anyone with respect, and his s/o is getting the best care there could possibly be when with him.
ruggie bucchi
he’s taken care of leona’s needs for so long that he definitely knows how to take care of someone. probably even makes the best soups when you’re sick. ruggie is husband material since he pretty much is a house husband to leona, considering the fact he basically does everything for him. so ruggie 100% knows how to look after someone. another one in the top tier list as well.
jade leech
he’s the best of the best. out of his interests such as the mushrooms he tends for, he definitely and most likely knows how to look after someone they care about. they mostly lye on the caring part since he knows how to tend to someone. he gives the best comforts as a matter of fact, just as he knows how to care for the mushrooms he keeps, he knows how to take care of you as well.

Sadly, you didn’t seem to be getting the point, and Trey wasn’t the only one frustrated that he wasn’t clear with his messages. So Cater decided to set you guys up!
Cater asks for you two to be models for a day, just because he wants something to post on his Magicam account. Trey and you, being good friends with the guy, agree.
You guys do all sorts of poses and settings around the school, until at the very end Trey is forced to pose while handing you one of the tarts he made for you. Cater basically mouths “go!” to Trey and Trey is basically forced to confess right there.

You would think that a suave guy like him would have already confessed to you, but no.
He thought you were out of his reach, but wanted to spend time with you so badly. The tweels caught onto this extremely quickly tho and decided to take things in their own hands. It would be fun so why not!
Jade approaches you first, asking if you could follow him to the seaside next to the school. You agree, it’s the weekend and the weather was good. Meanwhile with Floyd, he asks the same thing to Azul and basically drags the octopus to the meeting destination.
Once there, Jade and Floyd basically push you guys together and leave as fast as they brought you guys there. Then, Azul realizes what this is supposed to be; they set him up! He tries his best to remain calm, but you beat him to it.
You end up asking him out, saying you wanted to ask him before but didn’t want to bother him while he was busy. Azul fumbles a happy yes and you two end up spending the rest of the day walking on the seashore. The tweels saw this happen from a distance and are glad they have something new to tease Azul about.
Silver
He’s too stiff. He didn’t think about asking you out because he was unsure if he would be good at it. Not only that, but being someone who’s job is to watch out for Malleus basically gives no room for romance!
Thankfully, Lilia’s here to help! He sees his child basically dazing off while looking at you one day and thinks “why haven’t you told them yet?” Silver says he can’t, and Lilia tells him he’ll help.
You were going back to your dorm when Lilia suddenly appeared out of nowhere and said Silver was in urgent need of your help and that he’s in the courtyard. Panicked, you set off to the destination thinking Silver got injured.
Once there, you see him sleeping, and you sigh in relief. When waking him up and asking if he’s okay, he bolts up as if he’s never been tired or sleepy before and basically says his entire confession there (stiff guy!)
You honestly think it’s so cute, and you did think you had strong feelings for him, so you agree to have your first date with him soon. Lilia saw the whole thing from the roofs or so too haha, he’s proud of Silver.

You knew it was late, yes. But you couldn’t sleep. You were started to fall behind in some classes, mainly due to all the bs happening around campus. All the overblots and such, that always seem to drag you in.
The stress of everything was starting to get to you. So you decided to pull an all nighter and try to get as much done as you possibly could before morning classes start.

The ghosts decided to take a vacation to who knows where, so you were pretty much alone.
The sound of your fingers typing away into our key board echoed throughout the hollow sounding house. Lights were dim, and some windows were open. The wind was softy, and gracefully danced between the curtains singing a soft lullaby.
All of this caused your eye loss to grow heavy, but you had to push forwards. You allow your eyes a quick 10 second break after every paragraph, making you want to finish faster. A burning sensation started to appear but you pushed it aside trying to finish your stupid essay.
Maybe it was because you were zoned ed out or many before you were too emerged into your project to notice anything, but the soft clacking of shoes filled the room.
1 after the other, slowly getting closer to you. You had just finished a section of 2 paragraphs so your eyes got a break. And as soon as you opened them you saw a mug filed with a warm drink, and a pastry.
“…Huh..?” You had to take a double take, thinking your eyes were still closed and that you were imagining it, “How did..?”
“Hi y/n.”
Sorta kinda scared the shit out of you. But it wasn’t that noticeable it was more of an internal freak out.
“Trey? What are you doing up? And how did you get in?”
He rubbed at your temples, a soothing motion which immediately helped the headache you didn’t even notice you had, “I couldn’t sleep, Heartsbyul is extremely loud at the moment,” He chuckled.
You could guess why…
“And I snagged a key from Grimm, right before he almost set some rose bushes on fire.”
“Oh. Of course he almost did,” You shook your head.
Treys hands left your head to go grab a chair. He put it beside you and sat down. Look at you to the mug with a slight nudge of his head, insisting you to take a sip.
You reached for the mug, and slowly sipped, careful as to not burn your tongue. You closed your eyes and a soft smile made it’s way onto your face, “Thank you, Trey.”
He smiled back, “It’s no worries, I was sure you were over working yourself so I grabbed a pastry I made earlier today and made a drink for you to relax a bit.”
Your heart couldn’t take it, it was such a sweet guesture, you put the mug down and laid your head on his shoulder, “Thank you, Trey, it really does mean a lot.”
“I’m glad, now then, let’s get you to bed.”
“But I- I have to finish this essay. I’m almost done!”
“How many more paragraphs do you have to write?”
“…2 more pages worth… And I have to cite my sources…”
“Well I guess we should get started.” He smiled.
For the next 2 hours or so, you and Trey worked on your paper, and by the time you were done, you were so tired that you were already half asleep.
“All done, okay now it’s time for…” Trey started, but he stopped when he noticed you half asleep, “Come on y/n, these chairs are uncomfy, I’ll take you to your bed.”
“mmmm… okay…” You mumbled.
He grabbed your hand and planted a soft kiss on it before he walked you to your room.
When you got there he helped you into bed and sat beside you on the edge, “I should probably get going, I have a feeling Riddles not so happy right now…” He said as he started to get up.
“No! Stay here.” You grabbed him by the cuff of his jacket, “Riddle can take care of himself, he is a hose warden after all.” You mumbled, slowly getting quieter as tiredness was consuming you.
“Please stay.”
“Of course y/n.” He grinned.
Jamil
“Uh…No damnit. That’s wrong…” You mumbled to yourself, “That’s not it either…” You started to scratch at your head.
You were seated on the floor within a not-as-messed up room at Ramshackle. You at Grimm were slowly started to tidy the place up with the help of the ghosts.
Meaning bribing them with certain things.
Anyway, you were trying to fix a desk that had been broken in half. Honestly, you weren’t sure if it was already like that or if Ace and Deuce had something to do with it.
Grimm had went to bed a couple minutes ago, and knowing him, he was probably in tuna dream heaven. You however hadn’t felt tired yourself, and you decided to stay up a tad bit longer to fix a couple more things up.
But a tad bit turned too a tad bit too much. It was already 2 a.m. and you hadn’t even realized.
You were still seated on the floor sitting criss cross thinking. But then you felt two palms reach onto your shoulders and start massaging the area. It was paired with a familiar voice, “Morning, y/n.”
“Jamil?”
“What are you still doing up?” He asked, a scolding manner embedded into the words.
“It’s not that late- Oh.” You looked over at a clock that you had repaired earlier, “ …Maybe I didn’t fix it correctly.”
“Looks accurate to me.” He sighed.
Honestly, you were so tired that you couldn't exactly think straight, and you kinda zoned out when Jamil was scolding you.

"y/n.... how many times... you said that... you need to take better care of..."

You nodded once you heard him finish, "I'm sorry, Jamil," You rubbed at a few cuts and brusies on your wrists and hands due to some clumsiness of being so tired.
Jamil walked out of the room, and he came back a few seconds later.
"Where did you go-?"
He sat down beside you, and bandages in hand, wrapped then around your palms, and placed smaller bandaid on a couple of cuts. He secured it with a kiss to the back of your palm.
"You need to be more careful y/n," He sighed, with a small smile at the end of his sentence. He locked eyes with you, a more stern look taking hold, "I'll take you to bed now."
"I still have to finish-"
"It wasn't a suggestion. Lets go." He stood up and gave you his hand to help you up. You reluctlently grabbed his extended hands and pulled your self up.
You might have used a tad bit too much force as you ended up throwing your self onto him. Jamil let out a chuckled as he braced himself and caught you in his arms, engulfing you into a hug. You used all the energy you could muster to hug back, hiding your face in his chest.
"Come on, y/n lets go to bed now."
"Will you stay..?"
"I left some of the students in charge of Kalim, they should be able to manage until morning. We'll fix any issues before classes start." He joked, a small smirk visible as you looked up at his face.
"Okay... Wait. How come you're still up?"
"I live with Kalim."
"...Fair enough." You said as you walked arms linked with your loving boyfriend to your room. Which you fixed up nice and neat earlier lol

'Adrenaline was still pumping through you. Theres no way you could sleep now,' is what you told yourself.
And for the most part, that statement was correct. It started off with you helping Jack and Ruggie with a couple speeldrive drills.
Nothing too extreme. But when other students saw the three of you practicing, they wanted to join in.
So a couple of drills turned to training, to a few friendly games, to some bets on students.
It took 2-3 hours or so. And the Savanclaw students were exaggusted, but for some reason, you felt all of that was only a warm up.
You told the guys you'd go back inside in a few minutes, you voluneteered to clean up. Jacks pride and sportmenshi wouldn't allow you to do it yourself, but you are perrisent and scary when you want to do something. So he couldn't exactly tell you no.
They went in while you started to clean up the arena. Honestly, it would’ve been fun to have Grimm there, but he was having a sleep over at Scarabia. He’s there for the food ngl.
You laughed to yourself thinking about the headache poor Jamil must being having at the moment. With both Grimm AND Kalim.
30 minutes or so had passed, and you were humming as you dancing around putting up some the of the foam blockers. You stopped as you put up the last one.
You took a deep breathe in, and allowed yourself to become lost in your own thoughts. It was after some time that you felt two large hands grab you.
You’re first instinct was to scream, but the silhouette knew that, and covered your mouth using one of his hands.
“Damn herbivore, shut up.” He sighed.
“meonaaaah?” You tried to say but it was muffled.
He took his hands off and you swiftly turned around. “Leona! Don’t do that! You scared the shit outta me!” You huffed, hand clenched to your heart trying to catch your breathe.
“You’re the idiot that made me come all the way out of here.”
“Huh? I didn’t tell you to come-“
“Shut up.” He growled, as he picked you up bridal style.
“Leona. Come on! I still have to put up the rest of the-“
“The guys can do it in the morning.”
"But I said that I would do-"

Riddle had and still has anger issues, so he understands his partner getting frustrated or stressed
he pays attention to how they react to stress, noticing their flushed face and teary eyes
when he first notices the nail marks on their arms, the small crescents imprinted on their skin, he gets a bit concerned
he asked them about it and when they explained they did it when they were stressed or frustrated, he instantly softened and offered to help find a different solution
Trey Clover
Trey noticed when his partner started to get stressed out or upset, seeing them dig their nails into their skin
he asks them why they do that, more than willing to try and understand why they do it
tries to figure out a way to help them stop; while it's a small thing, he doesn't want it to escalate
he's more than willing to have them grip his arm or hand if it helps, and tries to help them find another way to get their frustration out

Jade figured out that his partner tended to grip their arms and dig their nails into their palms
he hated seeing them do it, but he didn't lecture them about it since he knew it was how they coped
he doesn't want them to think he's judging them or anything, so he's very careful when broaching the topic
he still offered to help them try and find an alternative, offering things like a stress toy or something to fidget with

Floyd hates to see his partner in pain, especially anything they caused themself
he asks them why they do it, nodding in understanding when they explain it's due to their frustration
he understands it's an instinctual thing for them, and just how they cope, but he also doesn't want them to hurt themself
he'll grab their hands when he notices them starting to get frustrated, grinning and pulling them away from whatever's frustrating them

Jamil tries his best to help his partner calm down before they get to the point of tears or nail-digging
he'll insist they take a break from whatever is causing them distress and make them sit with him for a bit
if that doesn't work, he tries to distract them another way, so long as they don't end up digging their nails into their hand
he understands it's a sensitive topic, so he doesn't outright tell them to stop and instead just tries to help them in his own way
