Tristan and I survived our first trial experience! We entered a novice rally class since this is the first time in the ring for both of us. We had a lot of trouble getting to the right location for the show, and Tristan and I were both a bit stressed by the busy crowd outside the ring, but luckily the ring we were in was very enclosed with not much view of other dogs or people. Tristan did so well and despite a couple missteps, we got a qualifying score! I learned a lot from this experience so now I’m planning out how I want to build better engagement under distractions before we trial again. My big goal is a true focused heel before we go for novice obedience.

Ikea is trialing driverless truck deliveries in Texas

IKEA has partnered with Kodiak Robotics, which is working on self-driving technology for long-distance trucking, to test unmanned deliveries from warehouses. Since August of this year, Kodiak's autonomous heavy-duty trucks have been delivering furniture from IKEA's distribution center near Houston to retailers near Dallas every day. As well as racing, rallying, concourse and just driving around in your vintage car there is also trialing. Trialing involves going up a muddy hill, as far as possible, until you get stuck.
