Gunther:

He raised one finger. "From what I've heard, my experience wasn't like the Captain's. Going through that wormhole was like I was falling endlessly. Everything was blue of blues and white. Nothing else that I can see, though. Next thing I knew, I landed face first on the corridor. Whatever was in it, don't think it was for me to see."

Yancy:

"Two." He paused and slumped back into his chair. "Most people would think a guy like me don't deserve nothing good like that. And, well, I agree. Why should someone like me have a chance at some sorta happiness like that? It ain't fair. No one deserves a husband like me..." But this was him being honest. Would it be wrong of him to say what's been on his mind?

"I wanna get married. I wanna be a dad and give my kids a better support than I got. But... Look at me. Look at where we is. This is not the place for someone's dad to be. What sorta role model would I be if they was only able to see me once a month and whenever conjugal is approved? And... my spouse wouldn't deserve that neither. They oughta have someone who is there all the time. Don't the family picture look better if both partners are able to be at home after busy days?"

Huh. This was more depressing to say out loud.
