I love (hate) when people say I'm just using my mental illnesses as an excuse as to why I can't do something. Like no. It's an explanation not an excuse. I may be mentally ill, but I am very in touch with myself and conscious and I know what I am and am not capable of. I know that my mental illnesses cause me to behave a certain way and I recognize that those behaviors inhibit my daily functioning. I'm not trying to wallow or be all woe is me when I say "I can't do it because of my mental illnesses." No. I'm not trying to seek pity from you nor am I feeling sorry for myself about the fact that I can't do it, I am simply giving you an explanation why I can't do it.

Exactly a year ago to the day, I shaved my head for the last time. This is a year's worth of growth right here! I can't believe it has already been a year. This is a big milestone of progress 🤗 (and yes I'm in the bathroom, the lighting isn't clear anywhere else haha)
