Did you know that the trick knife use in Goncharov was an actual Italian Stiletto? Most Hollywood movies use replica Stilettos that were widely available at the time. Scorsese wanted the movie to be authentic so he provided his own personal Stiletto for the film.
The thing is, that in order to get a particular shot they hired Adam Savage to make a trick knife, but the they couldn't get a replica that was close enough to the real thing, so Scorsese let Adam Savage modify his genuine Stiletto!
You can check out Adams video on the subject on his Youtube channel. He still has Scorsese's Stiletto to this day!
Just shows how dedicated Martin Scorsese was about making the most realistic gangster movie of all time!
”dont so knives kids” you say that like it's a drug...*snorts knife*
Its a gateway drug and before you know it you have a collection, flip your butterfly knife when you’re bored and only dream of getting a Randall.
Don’t do knives
Hell no, these weren't sold in town, not even in Leadville. Mail order only from some outfit running an ad in the monthly magazine, Bounty Hunter Monthly. And having just arrived today, Snipe can't stop playing with the sadistic weapon. "Hey, Bronco, I got the urge to hang out at that rough 'n tumble saloon on the edge of town tonight."
Bet the kid saw the advertisement in the last edition of Bounty Hunter Monthly.
Hey, Billy, hope ya don't intend to use that on some kid.
