“Excellent work, Prince Zuko,” Fire Lord Ozai said, looking down on the kneeling form of the son he’d banished not that long ago. “You made quick work of what seemed an insurmountable task. Maybe there’s hope for you yet.”
Zuko nodded and was dismissed from the throne room, head reeling.
Somehow he’d managed to capture the Avatar, a young woman from the Southern Water Tribe. Despite reports that all the waterbenders from the South had been captured or killed, Zuko had had a sneaking suspicion that that was where the Avatar was, powers dormant until needed.
When he’d raided her village, she’d needed them, using a waterbending move to shoot fire at him, shocking everyone in the vicinity including herself. Except him. She’d done just what he’d hoped one of them would.
Before any of them could react any more than stare in stunned silence, Zuko had tackled the girl, putting the cuffs on her before she could deflect or retaliate, and pulling her to her feet by the chain.
“Thank you for your contribution to the war effort,” he’d said to the gathered tribespeople. One of them, a boy not much older than the girl in chains, surged forward, but was shoved to the ground by one of Zuko’s guards.
“Katara!” he’d cried as Zuko pulled the girl away.
The next morning, Zuko woke up to a servant with a scroll on a platter, sealed with his father’s seal. He sat up, took the scroll, and dismissed the servant before splitting it open.
When he read his father’s order, his eyes widened.
It was his job to break the girl’s spirit? How on earth was he supposed to do that?
He tossed the scroll aside and then thought better of it, tucking it in a hiding place he knew Azula wouldn’t be able to find before pulling on his every day robes and stepping out into the hallway.
Getting to the specially made dungeon wasn’t difficult, of course. Zuko had been present when it was dedicated, almost four years ago now. Back when the previous Avatar had accidentally died in the altercation meant to capture him, Ozai realized they needed to find the new one and keep them alive.
The difficult part was going to be doing whatever needed to be done to break this girl, make it so she didn’t want to leave or fight. Maybe even work for them, he guessed, if he could accomplish such a thing.
With a sigh, Zuko signaled for the guard to unlock the door and let him in.
Unfortunately for Zuko but definitely fortunately for Katara, he decided in the moment between him being in the hallway and him being in her cell that the best course of action would be to get to know her. Act like he was on her side. Like he was trustworthy.
Unfortunately for Zuko, this led to him learning a lot about her and beginning to actually like her. Maybe even see the errors of the Fire Nation’s ways.
Fortunately for Katara, this led to him eventually deciding to let her out, telling his father that she was harmless when in actuality he wanted to get both of them out of the capital.
It didn’t hurt that he’d turned to his uncle for advice on how to handle the Avatar, either.
Their escape from the capital was so spontaneous they hadn’t even known when it was going to happen. Iroh bundled them out of the palace in the middle of the night and onto the ship Zuko had used to find her, the one Iroh owned and crewed. They immediately set sail for the Southern Water Tribe to retrieve Katara’s brother, make apologies to her people, and come up with a plan for them to retreat deeper into the South Pole because once they were discovered missing that would be the first place the Fire Nation would go. Thankfully Katara was able to waterbend them through the ocean so that they traveled twice as quickly as they would have otherwise.
Once Sokka was on board, figuratively and literally, and the rest of their tribe safe, they set a course for the Earth Kingdom and a new ship.
To Zuko’s surprise, when they were on the open water again, Katara kissed him on the cheek. She walked away, leaving him stunned with his hand on his cheek, wondering why she’d done it. He’d been the one who’d kidnapped her in the first place, after all.
“It looks like apologetic action works wonders with Water Tribe members,” his uncle mused.
(Yan-Chan hates the “A Gentleman Strikes in Broad Daylight” commission when the Cryo Fatui is present. I have frozen so many times because of that guy. But he has given me some wonderful ideas.)
Gorou moved as quietly as he could. If that person knew he was coming, who knows what they’ll do to Kazuha? No. The general already lost too much. He couldn’t lose his dearest friend.
They said if he didn’t come alone, they’d—
Deep breaths.
Gorou tried to calm himself. He knew panicking would be of no use to him. He has to focus. He looks once again at the crumpled letter.
Dearest General,
Your friend Kaedehara Kazuha is no longer with the Crux Fleet. He had been taken by a mysterious figure going by the moniker “Yandere Anon”. The abduction has taken place near two months ago. If you wish to reclaim him, come to the Tatarasuna on XX-XX-XXXX. If you are found with company, Kazuha shall pay the price.
He didn’t want to believe it, but after seeing the storm that is an angry Beidou, he was hard pressed to ignore the letter.
Arriving at his destination, he took a moment to survey the site. Nothing caught his attention immediately, only piling onto his mounting anxiety.
All was quiet. No sounds of life, not even the rain from outside.
Nothing but a low hum—
Wait.
Gorou jumped to the side, just in time to avoid a giant mechanical spider. The abomination hissed at him before spraying water at the hybrid. Gorou drew his weapons and nocked an arrow. Only to come to the horrific realization that he couldn’t let go.
Another spider snuck up behind him and hit him with a Cryo attack.
He couldn’t act as someone hit over the back of his head, knocking him out.
—
When Gorou came to, he was met with three sights.
A chain, leading down from his neck.
A person standing over him with his weapons.
And his friend, Kazuha, chained to the opposite wall from him, pale and thinner than he was ever before.
“Oh goodie! You’re finally awake,” the person cheered. “Welcome, Darling Gorou.”
*nervous sweating, sips coffee* Welp, Yandere anon now has three kidnapped characters officially
Hello! I'm looking for a story that I read a while ago and I can't find it. Edgar kidnapped Betty, and the only one who never gave up was Jughead. He ends up finding her in the woods, and Fred and Archie help them escape.
THIS IS KILLING ME. I know it was lost not too long ago and I found it then - but now I can’t find it, can’t see it on the blog, let alone on Ao3. The community will find this FOR SURE. It was long, Bughead is barely in it until the ending when Jughead saves Betty in a cabin in the woods after she’d been missing for like a year. Everyone moved on but Jughead couldn’t. Does anyone know off the top of their heads? My searching is not finding it and it’s driving me mad! Anyone?
@easyluckyfree45 @typicaljuggie have found it - and I feel like a complete moron! Thank you both SO much - you are both ROCKSTARS! Here you are @appleres - enjoy! Happy Reading! 💙💛
Unhinged by @crescentmoonmadness (11/11 - NR)
Summary: Jughead just wanted to go camping with his best friends, but when Betty Cooper mysteriously disappears into the night, it's up to him to get her back. No matter what.
Kai weakly opened his eyes though it did no good. The room was dark, pitch black, which he was thankful for so he wouldn't have to see the shape he was in. He pulled against the chains, the metal rattling but giving none. He hadn't bathed in months, maybe years. He wasn't really sure but he knew seasons had come and gone quite a few times.
He hated holidays the most. Whoever had him in this cold cell would leave for days, even weeks, and he'd be left with some food and a bottle of water that was always just barely out of reach. If he was lucky, someone might sneak in and help him but he never saw who.
He knew his parents in his reality were gone, and he knew everyone else was too. Especially after seeing the graves, the debris, the rubble. Even the skeletons. He let himself sob quietly, feeling the guilt eat at him.
He had left his own reality, though not by choice, and now everyone was gone- The whole planet, wiped out. Because he wasn't there, he didn't help.
Hearing the gates open, he knew someone would be in a few moments, though he hadn't been prepared for the light to come on. For it to show how beaten up he was, how caked in dirt and sand he was and how dull his eyes were along with how his bones were becoming prominent.
Though when he saw who was there, he had to admit it took him a minute to realize.
A/N: Longer than a drabble, we’re talkin’ 1,100 words. Sorry. Really, really sorry.
“Y/N, please.” Jared held his hand against the door, your entire weight pushing against the back of it as his force pressed on the front. “Please don’t do this. You can’t shut me out. Not again.” He begged.
“Jared, go home.” You sighed, back leaning against the wood.
“I am home, Y/N. This is my home, here, with you.” He pushed on the door once again, and you were just too damn tired to keep fighting him, so you gave in.
“Listen, I’m gonna step out of the way of the door, you can come in, but you need to listen to me. No questions asked.” You pinched the bridge of your nose. Jared hummed in agreement and you let him in, both of you sitting around the island in the center of the kitchen.
“What’s going on, Y/N? Things have been so different lately. You’ve been distant, and I don’t just mean because of the hundreds of miles between us.” Jared reached for your hand, but you pulled it away and tucked it between your knees.
“Jare…” You looked down. “Things are different. This isn’t something I can keep doing. This hurts like you wouldn’t believe. I have to be me without you, and that’s not something I ever knew how to do. It’s been us - me and you, Y/N and Jared - for as long as I can remember and now all of a sudden I just feel like that’s not the case anymore. It’s just I, me, Y/N.” Tears stung your eyes as they also welled in Jared’s.
“What do you need? You can pack up your stuff and come with me back to Vancouver. Whatever you want to do, whatever you have to do to fix things.” Jared rambled on, offering any and every suggestion he could think of, but you just shook your head.
“That’s not going to solve anything, Jared. The problem is - is that I loved you. Loved. Past tense. We’re not the same people we were a year ago, six months ago even. Things have changed, and as much as I hate to admit it, we’ve changed. This is it. My things are packed in the bedroom already. I’m going home. Home, home.” You stood up and started to turn, but Jared reached out and grabbed your arm, pulling you back to him. His arms wrapped around you and crushed you against his chest.
“Please.” He cried into your hair. Your sobs were muffled by his shirt, your heart was breaking, but your mind was already made up. You had to leave.
“Just know that you’re always going to be my… everything, Jared. I just can’t love you anymore. Not like this.” You looked into his glossy hazel eyes and pulled yourself out of his grip, spinning and heading to grab your bags. You had a car waiting outside to take you to the airport.
You didn’t make it home that day. You didn’t even make it to the airport. The driver of your taxi took you right past the airport, whipped the car onto a dirt road a few miles away, and you spent the next six years staring at the walls of a locked closet. Your hands were bound by ropes, your feet shackled to the floor. You grew weaker by the day, bones becoming frail and skin turning ashen in color.
One day, when your captor told you he was going out, and to be good until he returned, you mustered enough strength to slam your shoulder into the closet door. By the time you broke free, your collarbone was practically shattered, but you’d made it. You scrambled for the phone and dialed the only number you knew by heart - Jared’s. The loud ringing hurt your ears, having only heard the same voice for countless days.
“Hello?” A woman’s voice came through the receiver.
“Is - I’m looking for Jared.” Your voice was shaky, uncertain.
“Oh, he’s working out right now. Sorry about that.” She chirped. “I can have him call you back later.”
“No, it’s an emergency.” You shook your head, clamping your eyes shut. “I need Jared, now.” Shuffling came through the other end of the line, then your heard a muffled call of Jared’s name.
“Who is it, baby?” A deep voice joined the shrill one you’d never heard before.
“Jared!” You cried out.
“Y/N?” His eyes grew wide as he said your name.
“Jared I - I need your help.” Your eyes shifted frantically around the home you’d never really gotten to see. “Come get me, please. I’m in Austin. I never went home. The driver, he flew past the airport and took me to - to some shack!” You cried.
“I’m on my way.”
Jared kicked the door down just shy of twenty minutes later. You were sitting on the kitchen floor with your right hand wrapped around the ball of your left shoulder, tears streaming down your face.
“Hey, it’s okay. I’m here, I got you.” Jared lifted you under your back and knees, then carried you to a black SUV. A bald man was driving, and there was a petite woman with long, dark hair sitting in the passenger seat. “Y/N, I - there’s someone I want you to meet.” Jared tapped the woman on the shoulder. “This is Geneveive.” The mystery woman turned around as much as she could and smiled kindly at you.
You forced a smile and gave a short nod. Then your eyes fell to where her hand was resting. Her belly was round like a basketball. Your gaze shifted to Jared, who was smiling at her, paying you no mind.
“You’re pregnant.” You blurted. She giggled and nodded.
“Yeah, I am. Eight and a half months pregnant, thanks to the giant man sitting next to you.” She rolled her eyes teasingly.
“Y/N…” Jared sighed. “This is Genevieve. I met her the year after you left. She was a guest star on the show.”
“And now you’re-” you looked at his hand “-married. And you’re gonna be a dad.” You scooted away from Jared and plastered yourself against the car door.
“Once we get you to the hospital, we can talk, okay?” He reached over and patted your thigh.
“Please don’t touch me.” You whimpered, eyes closed and teeth gritted together.
Jared pulled back as the bald man, Clif, drove you to the emergency room. You told your doctor not to let anyone in, not even the people who’d brought you. You didn’t want to see them again. You loved Jared. Loved. Past tense.
Hey there! It’s been so long since I read that fan fiction and the only thing that I can remember is that Betty is an FBI Agent and is doing research/ looking for a whole group of criminals (i’m not sure about that) and in the end she is being kidnapped in an old house or something. I know it’s pretty vague and it’s understandable if you don’t know what I’m talking about.
Here you are! This one is delightful!
Enjoy!! 💗 Jandy

Summary: When Charles has a string of murders the FBI can’t seem to crack, he calls in the two best investigators and reporters he knows... Betty and Jughead, his own half-siblings. What none of them anticipate is just how dangerous the mystery will become and what type of chaos they will become immersed within.
Hai! I’m looking for a fanfic where Chic tries to kill jughead’s sister and Jughead kidnaps Betty for revenge but realized chic abuses her and starves her. Jughead and the serpents owned a big house together and they did missions a lot..That’s all I really remember..Thanks if you find it!
Hai! No problem!

He had olive skin and dark hair poking from what looked like a knitted beanie shaped like a crown. ‘You’re definitely not who I expected.’ he murmured. His eyes were a bright green, glaring into her own.
