Dumb AU idea where the Cookies of Darkness kidnap the brave gang and some of the other kids associated with the Ancients in an attempt to lure them into a trap. But to all of their surprise, they're just sorta confined to a small area of the castle and put under Licorice's care for the time being.

This leans heavily on an old hc o mine where Licorice is very good at caretaking and homemaker stuff, but he just fucking hates it.

This is ABSOLUTELY a form of punishment for Licorice for his recent string of failures just disguised as a way to earn back trust.

Bro definitely stood there for like, an hour in shock after being assigned to watch a bunch of pissed off toddler to tween aged kids. His only saving grace is also having Poison Mushroom along for the ride (letting PM play with other kids is a reward for them.)

Wizard being genuinely shocked by Licorice's passion for magic even if it's dark/forbidden magic. Probably more shocked that he's more competent at it than Wizard has been assuming. Still absolutely bullies Licorice bc that's the only COD member worth taking his anger out on around.

Gingerbrave is more shocked Licorice knows how to cook lol. Extra shocked that it's not bad food, and that he actively caters to PM's picky eating.

Strawberry gets along with Licorice the best bc she's the nicest one. She's more scared but will help him out around their shared confinement space.

Custard 3 keeps picking fights over Pure Vanilla being better than Dark Enchantress and getting defensive of his friends bc a good king should always protect his people.

Strawberry Crepe has attempted to turn multiple electronics into weapons to use to her advantage. She's had them all taken away from her.

Princess isn't a kid, but they nabbed her anyway. The kids all flock to her and she keeps picking fights with Licorice in their defense when they piss him off. Genuinely shocked by how nice he is towards PM despite his words often sounding harsh. Choco Werehound shows up sometimes and they surprisingly get along well.

I love the idea of them also having Dark Choco bc that's Dark Cacao's actual kid, but it's even funnier if they legit grabbed Crunchy Chip. When he realized they mostly kidnapped kids, he's pissed and thinks they snatched him bc he's so short.

However, Dark Choco has the option of threatening Licorice, who points out that even if they got past him, the place is heavily guarded and uses magic to trap them all inside. So there's little chance of anyone escaping. Dark Choco, having worked with Licorice, just straight up asks if it's to trap the abductees or Licorice himself. He does not get an answer but the guilty look tells him Licorice would have absolutely made a run for it if he thought it possible.

Chili Pepper being pissed that they stole her little entourage right out from under her. (She's worried sick about her little buddies.)

The Ancients are not happy about this at all. PV and WL especially are having a nervous breakdown together.

Dark Cacao's pissed they dated to lay a hand on his people, moreso when he eventually learns they caught Dark Choco.

Hollyberry is alternating between anger and guilt because now her other granddaughter just got snatched up under her nose.

Golden Cheese is just ready to throw hands with DE even more for this.

(could also make it a fun redemption AU tbh.)

Like Hiccup and Toothless learn of the Dragon Hunters before the others because they went a little too far away from Berk and they just... disappear one day? They don't come back home to Berk and the Dragon Riders' only clue is a T-mail Hiccup send about these people he and Toothless came across who are out there just beyond the fog hunting dragons, not to protect their own, but for profit?

Shane's head hurt.

That was the first sensation. The world was blissfully dark, but cold. He liked a cold room sometimes, but this was too much.

His hands caught on something, and there was a fraying pain around his wrists. Shane tried to open his eyes.

The darkness was so deep that, for a moment, he was terrified he had gone blind. His heart raced and his breath became shallow, but the air was too stuffy. He took a sharp breath as he realized that he wasn’t in his bed.

His hands and ankles were bound with something, and the darkness was caused by something covering his head. He flailed, but his elbows and thighs banged painfully into something on all sides. He tried to sit up and smacked his head on a hard surface.

Was he in a box? A cage?

His breathing quickened. He couldn’t even stretch his legs out, but he tried anyway, kicking hard. Everything was too small, too close. He was going to die.

Au where tougou actually kidnapped him and he stays missing for years but then showed up out of no where one day and lives with them again and oso has to learn how to be apart of his family again and also don't ask what happened to the guy that kidnapped him. And also don't call the cops. Not that it's important or anything
