How about a quadjet that looks like a trijet?
THE SECRET TRIDENT ENGINE!!!! I love that it's the Trident 3 of all things that got the extra engine too. (Fun fact about the extra engine: it's a turbojet even though the other three are turbofans like you'd expect. You've got three Speys and then an engine designed for VTOL fighters.)
The extra stretch also makes them kind of goofy-looking from the side. They're so much longer than they're supposed to be...like the really late MD-80 models that somehow look like about as long as it's possible for an airplane to.
While they're probably not my absolute favorites as far as visuals go I have an appreciation for the Trident that eclipses a lot of other airliners. They were just so incredibly sophisticated and are honestly the robbed queens of their time. I'd call them the best British airliner of all time easily. They're like narrow-body TriStars in a lot of ways - wildly ahead of their time trijet commercial flops with cat iii autoland. I also like how they feel like they're optimized for sheer eccentricity. I mean, some airlines configured them with seven-across seating, they've got sideways-retracting landing gear for their massive avionics bays that work out at the library and they flew crazy fast for some reason. Also, while I can't find a video because of how old they are, the first version of the Trident could do the same thing the tu-154 does and open the reversers just before touchdown. These things are insanely cool and I'm so sad they only ever built a hundred.
