Chapter Summary: The Gems finally reveal the truth behind their missing memories… and their past with Bill Cipher. “What do you know about someone named Bill Cipher?” It was such a simple question, but it sent the entire temple into stark, sudden silence. Only the sound of Pearl’s sharp gasp broke that silence, followed by the thud of Amethyst slipping off her seat on the edge of the loft and onto the couch below. Garnet froze, her jaw dropped as her visor reflected nothing but the worried look on Steven’s face as he stared back up at her. Still, she was the first to somehow speak, even if she didn’t manage to get much out. “S-Steven,” she began, her voice low and unsteady.
