ToG Winter Headcanons

- Dorian hosts the best parties at his house. He goes all out in decorating everything for winter and making sure that there is plenty of mistletoe hanging up in almost every doorway. 

- Manon rolls her eyes every time Dorian sweeps her into a kiss when she walks into a room. But she readily joins in and finds that the mistletoe is now one of her favorite traditions.

- The mistletoe results in many couples sharing kisses throughout the day. And after a few drinks Rowan “stumbles” and kisses Lorcan on the cheek. Though Lorcan swears Rowan did it just to piss him off considering Whitethorn started roaring in laughter and Aelin claimed that she should be able to steal a kiss from Elide.

- Lorcan managed to get back at Rowan when it came time to eat dinner and he claimed that “buzzard” should be served that night. 

- The Cadre make it a competition to find the best tree for the occasion. Though Fenrys and Connal end up starting a snow fight which leads to Gavriel having to reign them under control.

- Lorcan is the one who finds the tree and ends up chopping it down himself. Elide is with him and clearly enjoys the sight of Lorcan’s muscles straining against his flannel shirt as he swings the axe into the tree.

- Evangeline puts the star on the tree atop Aedion’s shoulders. Lysandra is also helping decorate the tree. She even bought an ornament that reads “First Yulemas Together - Terrasen Court”.

- Yrene brings in all the baked goods with Chaol. They know how to feed an army and they know that fae males (and Aelin) are inclined to eat everything they can get their hands on.

- Chaol manages to keep the males at bay in the kitchen with his cane that is decorated to look like a candy cane.

- Nesryn is there taking photos and manages to to be sneaky enough to get a lot of shots without anyone noticing. She knows how important family is and she wants to make sure to capture every moment. 

- Sartaq manages to get a photo with Nesryn...one in which he surprises her with a kiss just as the camera took the photo. It’s Nesryn’s favorite photo of the night.

- When Fleetfoot, Aelin and Rowan arrive fashionably late they are dressed for the festivities. Fleetfoot has deer antlers on while Aelin is dressed as an elf.

- And in walks Rowan in a complete Santa outfit. 

- Aelin and Rowan each carry in a bag of presents and Rowan hands out the ones that are in his bag.

- Once everyone finishes opening those presents Aelin comes forward with her bag. “These presents are for the ladies,” Aelin says with a smile that makes then men look nervously at each other.

- Elide opens her present first as she sits on Lorcan’s lap. To their surprise it’s black lacy lingerie and Lorcan blushes redder than Rowan’s ridiculous outfit.

- “So Lorcan,” Elide glances up at him with a teasing glint in her eye. “Have you been naughty or nice this year?

- Lorcan flushes even redder and manages to whisper something in Elide’s ear that causes her to blush and kiss his cheek. (Aelin imagines that the lingerie will come in handy soon.)

- Aelin then starts up a session of caroling at the piano. Surprisingly the Cadre are amazing at singing and soon the house is filled with music.

- At the end of the evening Aelin sits on Rowan’s lap and snuggles against him.

- “What do you want for Yulemas?” Aelin whispers while stroking the fake beard.

- Rowan manages to tug off the beard, yet Aelin continues to run her fingers down his face. It’s then he realizes that Aelin is tracing his tattoos. And Rowan’s heart warms at the feel of her touch and the fact that Aelin looks up at him with pure love in her eyes.

- “I already have everything I could ever want right here with me,” Rowan says softly and leans down to kiss Aelin slowly—wanting the moment to last a lifetime.

Bryaxis just wanting to start a book club in the library. Can you imagine not having someone to talk to after reading a great book??? For centuries???

ACOTAR Winter Headcanons

- Everyone goes to Rita’s to celebrate. Rhysand, Cassian and Azriel stride into the venue with matching ugly sweaters, which they still somehow manage to flaunt and make themselves still look handsome.

- Mor invites Viviane (who of course brings Kallias along with her sister).

- Everyone is a bit tipsy by the time evening rolls around. Nesta is expertly managing to take away some spiked eggnog from Elain, but Amren keeps sneaking it back into her hands. Elain channels her liquor into singing. And before long the whole inner circle is singing...well most of them try at least.

- Kallias makes it snow in Velaris and discreetly makes large quantities to fall onto Rhysand. This invokes a drunken snowball fight.

- The group heads back to the Townhouse where they sit together by the warm fire. Viviane and Kallias head back to their court, while Mor offers that Viviane’s sister can stay. (She does and that is the last that anyone sees of her and Mor for the remainder of the night since they have some *ahem* catching up to do.)

- Elain is snuggled between Azriel and Lucien while they all drink hot chocolate.

- Cassian brings out a batch of fresh cookies for everyone to eat while they open presents.

- Of course Rhysand found the perfect gift for everyone, but he nudges Feyre when she is about to open her last gift from him.

- With their bond he sends a message: Open that later. That’s for us to enjoy later.

- You plan on unwrapping me like a present? Feyre smirks.

- It wouldn’t be lie. Our time together is the greatest gift I could ever have dreamed of. Rhysand gives her a kiss on the cheek.

- Amren leaves to spend the rest of the evening with Varian. (She sneaks into his room and gives him a fright when he discovers her drinking wine and eating some of the cookies that Cassian made.)

- Nesta sits next to the fireplace as she looks at the gift Cassian gave her. It’s a book from a romance series involving an Illyrian and his lover.

- “Do you like it?” Cassian asks with a cocky grin, but his tone is also nervous since he doesn’t know if Nesta will actually enjoy reading it.

- Nesta nods and silently hands Cassian his gift which is a new knife with intricate carvings in the handle. “I’m sure you can use it for either cooking or whatever it is you Illyrians do with your blades.”

- Cassian beams at the gift. Eventually Cassian and Nesta end up sitting together in front of the fire. Nesta will deny that they were cuddling. But they totally were.

- Elain falls asleep between Azriel and Lucien on the couch so Feyre covers them up with a large quilt. Azriel and Lucien protectively roll over so their arms cover Elain as she murmurs softly in her sleep.

- Feyre and Rhysand go upstairs to their room where Feyre finally opens her present.

- “Have you been a naughty or nice High Lord?” Feyre whispers as she teases Rhysand in her new lacy garments. 

- Rhysand chuckles. “Both Feyre, darling.” 

- And that night the High Lord and High Lady of the Night Court enjoyed their evening together with the snow and starlight glowing outside.

ToG Halloween Headcanons

- Aelin is a hardcore trick-or-treater who goes all out with her costume and has scouted all the houses that give out king size candy bars. And she ends up eating most of her candy before the night is over.

- Rowan goes with Aelin trick-or-treating, but he doesn’t dress up. That doesn’t stop people from giving him candy, even if he doesn’t ask for it, because either the adults are stunned by his handsome looks or by his “resting buzzard face” as Aelin calls it when he’s got a serious expression.

- Aedion and Lysandra have couples costumes. Their choice? Werewolves. And sweet Evangeline is Little Red Riding Hood! (Throughout the night Lysandra will brush against Aedion’s “tail” and say “Are you that happy to see me?”. Aedion, not one to be teased without retribution, settles behind Lysandra and growls against her neck.)

- Manon is dressed as a certain Khaleesi in Targaryen colors of red and black. And of course her pet cat, Abraxos is dressed as a dragon...though Dorian managed to convince Manon that her beloved flower-loving cat should be dressed as Toothless.  

- Speaking of Dorian he’s dressed as a king (so that he can say he’s the king to Manon’s queen). But more than anything he simply enjoys telling Manon that he can’t wait to take her to his “dungeon” later. Needless to say no one sees Dorian and Manon for the rest of the night once they leave.

- Elide is dressed as Anneith Athena (Greek goddess of wisdom) and she is the one who loves going to haunted houses and dragging everyone along for the fun. Though she ends up accidentally being grouped with Lorcan, who in a surprising twist of fate is dressed as a Greek warrior. He ends up taking off his shirt for Elide during the haunted house since she becomes cold and she ends up wearing his shirt throughout the night.

- Lorcan at one point ends up having to carry Elide since she tripped and hurt herself while running in the haunted house- not because she was scared, but due to the fact that one of the volunteers smacked her butt so she was on the warpath for vengeance...which Lorcan may or may not have knocked the guy against the wall once they finally passed him on their way out of the house.

- Yrene and Chaol decorate their home and host a party at their place. Yrene is dressed as a nurse and Chaol is dressed up as Batman with his wheelchair also being fixed up to look like a mini batmobile. Kids love it and they always ask for a ride which Chaol gladly wheels them around a lap around the house. The kids realize that heroes come in all forms and that Chaol is definitely one of them.

- Chaol later offers to give Yrene a ride as well...in their bedroom. Yrene blushes, but leans down to give Chaol a kiss promising to massage is muscles afterward since she plans on having a long ride.

- Nesryn is dressed up as an archer with armor. She participates in all the games at the event and decides to show off her archery skills by pulling back the plastic arrow and shooting solo cups. She hits every single one, except the last one since Sartaq “accidentally” stumbled in front of her shot.

- Sataq spends the whole night calling Nesryn his Cupid since she shot him with a love arrow. “It was love at first sight...or technically shot.” Sartaq tells everyone while Nesryn rolls her eyes with a smile on her face.

- Nehemia brings forth all the candy and makes sure that every trick-or-treater that stops by the house gets more than one piece of candy. She even saves a bag back for Aelin, because she knows Aelin will be by soon. (Sure enough Aelin and Rowan stop by at the end of the night where they hang out and talk. Rowan finally gets to meet Nehemia...the girl that Aelin had promised so much for. The girl who was a light for his Fireheart in her dark times.)

- Sam is dressed as a ghost (too soon???) He hangs out with the Cadre for most of the night. Fenrys and Sam get along really well and they end up causing the most laughter. By the end of the night they become close friends. Close enough in fact that the Cadre call Sam their “brother”.

Tarquin Ship Headcanon

Alright. Hear me out. Think about Nesta and Cassian having a kid with Illyrian wings, but who loves playing in water growing up. Whether that be soaking in a tub after a long day of training or standing out in the rain just to feel the water glide down their skin. All the while they dream of visiting the Summer Court known for its beaches.

Once the child grows up they are sent to help delegate a meeting between Illyrian and the Adriata forces (I.E. Making sure that their dad doesn’t wreck another Summer Court building.)

And then it happens. This Illyrian warrior catches a glimpse of long white hair and a stunning body stepping out from the sea. The fae male strides up to the Illyrians and introduces himself as Tarquin, the High Lord of Summer. But then he too finally catches the eye of the Illyrian who stands beside Cassian.

“You must be the Commander’s charge,” Tarquin says with ease. “Or should I say you’re the one in charge of the Commander and making sure he behaves himself.” He adds the latter half with smile that sends the young Illyrian blushing.

It doesn’t take long before the High Lord and the Illyrian to fall into an easy friendship. And before they know they steadily start to fall in love with each other. They are the air that fills each other’s lungs while they kiss and the waves that both calm and rile each other with passion.
