Please help me come up with an AU for this Ahiru would look amazing in this outfit asdjkfjasfjdsfds!

I have two ideas??? 

1. Ahiru being this girl who wants to be a Cabaret singer, but she’s trapped being one of the backup dancer to her graceful older sister, “Tutu”.  One day after close, thinking she’s alone, she tries on her sister’s costume and sings under dim lights of the empty stage. As she finishes the final crescendo, she hears the clatter of a red-faced janitor, Fakir, dropping his broom. (Although honestly, I can’t picture her being able to sing???? But let’s just imagine that she can in this AU, or that Fakir is a rare being who likes her voice. Which do you like better?) 

2. A scene from @dasseinhundin ‘s mermaid AU, where after Fakir hears Ahiru sing for the first time, he starts having dreams of her. Where she climbs out of her bucket, and they dance.

21. “You knocked on my door at 1 in the morning, to cuddle?”

  Ahiru pawed at her eye. She had her yellow pillow under her arm and had dragged a fluffy blanket from her bed to here. She shivered slightly as she stood outside of Fakir’s door frame.

  ‘You knocked on my door… at one in the morning… to cuddle?’ Fakir asked.

  ‘Mmhm, I had a nightmare. I didn’t think you’d be asleep yet, c’mon, let me sleep in your room.’ Ahiru mumbled.

  Fakir groaned. she wasn’t wrong. He honestly hadn’t realised the time until he heard the knock on his door. He’d even thought the worst; that it may be dawn as his curtains were drawn shut; thankfully the lack of leaking sunlight shut down that panic.

  ‘Fine.’ Fakir relented.

  ‘Yay!′ Ahiru cheered.

  She flung her arms up and dropped her pillow. Her blanket waved like a flag. She hugged him tight and then picked up her pillow. she marched off to his untouched bed that still had wrinkles of waking from yesterday morning; or, more aptly, today midday. Fakir embarrassedly thought about his sleeping schedule and how much he needed to correct it but that latest chapter, it was so close to completion.

  Fakir sat back at his desk whilst Ahiru got comfortable in his bed. She nestled up all the blankets and soon found herself in a warming cocoon.

  ‘Your bed is very cold.’ Ahiru noted.

  Fakir sighed and he hadn’t even written another word before he put his quill down.

  ‘I can fix that.’ he yawned.

  He blew out his candle and the room immediately darkened. He dragged himself away from his desk and curled up opposite Ahiru and her pillow. There was a barrier of blankets and sheets between them and yet, their noses were mere centimetres away.

  Fakir crossed that barrier and pecked Ahiru’s forehead. He took her hand.

  ‘Good night.’ he told her.

  His eyes fluttered shut but he could feel her staring. He blushed and in turn, so did she. It was a chaste sort of cuddling that became messy by noon wherein they had slept the whole morning and wound up, arms draped over each other, chest to chest and Ahiru’s head beneath Fakir’s chin. She had slept to the sound of his beating heart; a warm, strange lullaby.

favorite scene you’ve ever written

That’s super hard to decide, but looking through my old stuff, the conversation scene between Fakir and Ahiru in Swing Life Away was super fun and also pretty nicely done, considering they talk about an event the audience doesn’t know about

story you’re most proud of

Again super hard to do, Shall I Tell a Story though holds up decently, and I am proud of how I handled the AU, it took a while to get it down right

writing advice

Your reader isn’t stupid, you don’t need to explain away every little detail about a character’s reaction, less tends to be more, and if you do want to go into explanation then try to do it from the character’s POV or pair it with an action, like even if you’re writing 3rd person, instead of saying “Person B liked it when Person A grew their hair long” you can say “Person B ran their fingers through Person A’s hair, enjoying the longer length”

what character caught your eye when you first watched: Kubo

your first favourite character: Kubo

what is your favourite character now: still Kubo!

describe why you love your favourite character: Kubo’s just so sweet, and passionate, and emotional. I love the Hero’s Journey he went through, even with the bittersweet ending, and I love his family relationships. and how he’s allowed to be angry and sad and everything.

what is some development that you wish they had implemented on the show: they did awesome things with the pacing, and I don’t think they should or could have put more development anywhere?

a ship that never got together but shipped: I don’t have one.

a ship that did get together and wanted it to be endgame: I kinda shipped Monkey and Beetle the first time I watched it cause I wanted them to adopt Kubo… yeah, that turned out great.

what is your favourite season: n/a

what is your favourite episode scene: aaahh god, I dunno? Kubo’s fight with the Moon King, maybe. but like, the whole “fight”. all the way to the end and the forgiveness.

talk about an episode scene that was significant for a favourite character: when Kubo’s mom was telling him stories about Hanzo–it basically set up Kubo’s aspirations and perceptions for the rest of the movie, especially the subtle bit of foreshadowing of him believing that Hanzo’s fortress was completely protected from the Moon King.

what is one of your favourite headcanons about one of the characters, it can be canon or fanon: that Sariatu and Hanzo were exactly like they were as humans when they were Monkey and Beetle.

if your favourite character could crossover into another fandom, what would that fandom be: I’ve really wanted to see Kubo interact with Denizen Hardwick from KotBD ever since I read the book (a week after I saw Kubo), due to the similarities in their stories and how they’re both angry heroes. also, their polar opposite reactions to… certain plot points… which I will not spoil… (I’ve never tried an actual crossover, but I seriously considered writing a fusion for a while, until I realized that there weren’t enough characters in Kubo to fill all the roles)

1. My OCs, particularly people enjoying my OCs. Seriously brightens my day every freakin’ time. Such a great feeling. They’re like my babies and if someone likes them/praises them, I just feel like glowing.
