3 part series (18x24") using imagery from Native American works by Troy Jackson, Randi Narcomey-Watson, Sarah Sense, Starr Hardridge, Karin Walkingstick, Benjamin Harjo Jr, Joseph Erb, Marcus Amerman, and Bill and Demos Glass. Their pieces are displayed at our university art museum right now, and so we spent a class studying and getting inspired, then turned our inspiration into a series.
I had a bit of trouble with the initial prompt of creating a personal motif so he allowed us to work with the pieces and combine them in interesting ways, which turned out great! Our stipulation was to have something thematically tying them together, hence the fabric and background similarities.
