#fgf #FeelGoodFriday In 2009 I was asked if I would donate our time, Team & FD race car to give rides to 25 boys aged 9-17 at the Pikes Peak Raceway, Colorado Springs, Colorado. These 25 boys have lost their fathers, 19 heroes that lost their life serving their country in Iraq & Afghanistan. I gave them a big YES. Turns out to be a movie alled “Sons of the Fallen” hosted by actor #RyanMerriman , actor/host #BillGoldberg , and country music star #ClintBlack . Problem was we just destroyed our SR20DET at @formulad But me, Gerti, #MikeAngel #SeanKriner #BillSherman #TroyMeikle & @00.dylan a few days to fix her and get her to CO. We got the motor rebuilt but couldn’t start her. We had to trailer the car to CO in 6 hours or call it all off. I decided to pull the trigger and get to CO figuring we will just have to get her running for these boys up there. Once at PPIR Sean, Angel & #WildBillSherman discovered that a few parts in the head were bad & we didn’t have spares. Unbelievably a local junk yard had a single complete head that we could rob from. With filming starting the next morning we reassembled everything and found a local dyno to tune. We managed to give ALL these boys at least 1-2 rides each, and even the movie talent got a ride just before the head literally lifted a little blowing out the gasket between 2 cylinders.
