Smocking sample created by one of my interns. The fabric is a silk organza with a metallic finish, which gives it both shine and texture. Once you have done thus first step, you can decide what you are going to do with it. It might be kind of traditional smock work, or you could go crazy with it. It’s all up to you! Okay: so here it is: the tedious work of threading 🧵 beads! Why would you do it? For me, it is the last thing I do! Only when I found some special vintage beads that are un-threaded. Or beads that fell off to the ground ...
