Actions speak louder than words
Three steps to Truly Experience the Change God Wants in Your Life:
1) Prayer: Pray everyday. Communicate to God that you want to change. In addition to this, incorporate thanksgiving. When you wake up just thank Him. Talk to Him like a friend. Simply, establish a prayer life. You live with God (Once you accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, the Holy Spirit (His spirit) comes and lives inside of you. You talk to the people you live with everyday right? It should be the same with your Creator.
2) Study His word: There is no way around it. If you want to get to know God, read His book. Make a commitment to read your bible everyday. If you're new at reading the bible, study Matthew, Mark, Luke and John (These are books in the new testament that take you through Jesus' life and ministry on earth) first and then carry on throughout the entire bible. Also, don't just read to read, read knowing and acknowledging that the words you're reading (God's words) are changing you. They are working. You may not feel it yet, but YOU'RE CHANGING!
3) Believe that you're changing. ACKNOWLEDGE THAT BECAUSE YOU ARE SEEKING GOD (YOU'VE ESTABLISHED A PRAYER LIFE & NOW READ HIS WORD DAILY), YOU WILL CHANGE. I promise, the outcome will be spectacular. It'll be all you've ever wanted. God says in his word that He "is a rewarder of those who diligently seek him." (Hebrews 11:6) This is how! When He sees you actively seeking him, you'll become a new and improved you; what He has destined you to be. It is really this simple. This is about establishing relationship and forsaking religion. Religion never produces change, a relationship with God does. Start being the best you you can ever be TODAY!"
