Constitution starting to look a bit more like ... well ... Constitution!

Before .... and after the Miniature Painters Guild came through and did their thing.
I found an excellent third party true-scale space marine kit from Tortuga Bay and decided to give it a try. The quality of the casting is amazing, and I don't say that lightly. At first I couldn't tell if it was plastic or resin. A little sanding of mold lines showed that it's resin, but it cuts well and sands well so no issues there.
I tried a metallic black technique again and I think it worked well this time. I haven't been satisfied with my previous attempts but this time I tried two layers of Basilicanum Grey instead of Black Templar and it worked a treat.
It's difficult to see here, but the gardbraces are 3d prints. The one on the right is from Shapeways and took the paint perfectly with no printing lines showing through. The one on the left is from Mastercrafted Miniatures and had a rough texture with plainly visible print lines but once painted the rough texture is subdued, mainly looking matte instead of a smooth satin texture from the rest of the model. The left's printing lines are almost invisible, which is a relief.
C&c is welcome. Specifically if it looks like metallic black or dirty silver.
Ok, does the studded pad look too big? I was going for the idea that the armor is thicker on the left, so a repaired/uparmored pad, Arnott on the left side of the helmet, and extra knee armor.
The second first one uses a mk3 pad on their left and a regular primaris pad on their right.
Which do you like better, #1 or #2?
EDIT: Tumblr flipped the images when I posted, so it's the first one that uses a mk3 pad.
