Summer had truly arrived on the little planet that housed the settlement. Murk’s settlement. Dius’ settlement, he supposed he’d have to start thinking of it as their settlement now. As their house slowly started to shape into something less of only a shell, and more into what they wanted it to be.
Murk spent a lot of time over at Dius’ and Mav’s place now. Helping to get everything done. He’d spent all day today repairing and extending a wooden floor, the little porch they’d had before was too small to really spend any time on. And he’d had some boards left over from a different project. Besides, it was easy work. Even as the sun was starting to really get hot during mid-day now. Finally.
By the time the cooler breezes rolled in, the sun still up, but on it’s way down behind the treeline, he was done with the floor. And he sat down on it to stretch out his knees fully.
