i think lizzie young is irredeemable. i understand that she has trauma and she projects that onto other people but that does not make it okay and it is not an excuse for the way she treats people, especially gibsie. bullying is honestly something you can’t come back from (the comment about gibsie’s father saving the wrong child is sickening) and the fact that the friend group always scolds gibsie for defending himself makes them bad friends.

everyone tells gibsie he takes it too far but lizzie is the one who has been bullying him for years. i don’t understand how calling someone crazy is worse than your death being prayed upon but hey! thats just me.

i know shannon means well and wants all her friends to get along but she practically excuses lizzie’s behaviour on the basis that she is struggling. shannon was bullied for years so she must understand how gibsie feels yet she still comes to lizzie’s defence… okay.

anyway, if you don’t agree with me, it’s fine. we all have our own opinions!

disclaimer this is not me minimising lizzie’s trauma. i just don’t think her behaviour is acceptable despite the circumstances. lizzie young being portrayed as a bully rather than a harsh/cold character makes her irredeemable.
