Late lunch . I find the latest trend happening throughout many cafes and restaurants I’ve been to over the last few years . It seems that ingredients in a dish is mostly as is and cannot be substituted. Not even for a little more of something already in the dish . Take for example my wife being allergic to eggs and on a brunch menu asks if she can have no eggs but a little bit more smashed avo. Lately, the answer has been no . So you take that, add the sometimes excruciating cost of smashed avo (vs buying one at the green grocers for $2), not eat egg but then get charged for it without anymore of the other ingredients. Then add some Chorizo for which you get served up half a Chorizo for $4. Say WAAAAAAAT?! . Answer to this?
