So like it’s never ever cool to misgender a trans person for any reason, and being trans doesn’t give anyone magical gatekeeping “true trans detection” powers. That is to say trans people should fucking well know better than to misgender other trans people. I don’t care what the reason is because there is never a valid reason.

So this one time I accidentally a truscum
I decided to write a post about what it was like for me to grow up a trans girl (well, somewhere between "girl" and "no gender at all"), and I threw in some comments that basically said "all trans people are like this" and referred to specific experiences.
Several good friends said "No, it was not like that for me." Two friends were actually upset and invalidated by what I had written. So I took it down and apologized.
This was in 2008, and a lot of the stuff in that post I developed further (and others have developed similar or more often better ideas than what was usable from that post).
It was my mistake, though. I said something about all trans people that was not true about all trans people. Faced with a reality that did not match my theory, I simply abandoned the theory that was demonstrably false.
People are more important to me than ideas that turn out to be wrong, no matter how much I liked the idea.
Basically, truscum pander to cis people, and they do so abusively toward other trans people. There is no way to pander to cis people without abusing other trans people and throwing other trans people under the bus. But, that is the full extent of truscum ideology: Pandering to cis people, abusing trans people, and throwing trans people under the bus.
They can dress it up in all kinds of ridiculous excuses like "You are required to have dysphoria to be trans" or calling themselves trans medicalists (which is a toxic and false approach to transness all by itself).
Also, they have ties with TWEFs and MRAS. What is up with that? What kind of trans person makes common cause with people who want to eliminate trans people?
Anyway, there's no such thing as transtrenders, and there's no way trans people are causing transphobia to exist. However, truscum most definitely support and act as apologists for the systems that do produce transphobia and tend to serve as a vocal source of transmisogyny.
Truscum think I actually want to talk to them about their fucked up abusive, transmisogynist movement.
Stop bullying. Being trans gives you no right to bully people who aren't, it's wrong, immoral and just plain bullying.
I am not bullying anyone. I didn't go into anyone's inbox and tell them that their gender is wrong. I didn't go into anyone's inbox and tell them they're not trans. I didn't do any of the things truscum routinely do when they decide to harass people.
