Knowing something and being completely incapable of acting upon that knowledge irritates the fuck out of me. It is equally irritating to me when all answers point to a truth, but the facts of said "truth" do not add up. Even worst is when an ignoramus is devoted to denouncing observed truths, claiming  them to be an impossibilities. Fuck it.  My truth will be a shot of something strong that forces my subconscious to stop thinking about shit.

The Truth About Blood and Water

It was when I finally exploded that I understood just how much we grew apart. We are not the same anymore, though out of habit, I still slip up and call you brother. But titles never matter when barely love your own blood siblings. Or anyone but that special person of the season. Before. All. Else. Sometimes I miss the days of horrible sing alongs, days of wandering around neighborhoods and shuffling down LakeShore Drive. But then I see you. Dressed in a cool pair of black Stacey Adams, cigarette between your fingers, coat smelling like weed and deodorant. You try to talk but you're too fucked up to get what I'm saying. The life of the party everywhere we go whose shadow I'm always living in because I chose to keep to myself. Because I chose to sleep when I have work in the morning. You've become the guy who's always in pictures with a fucking beer bottle or four. The guy who comes around when there's food or something to gain. The guy who needs to grow the fuck up. I love you but I don't like you, if that makes any sense. We've become two different people, these days. And its finally hit its head. Though I'm sure this will become another incident where I'm labeled as "taking things too seriously."
