Yes, I am totally a beginner. I tried to paint a tree. I like the way the trunk came out. I, definitely, gotta work on the leaves. It took less than 10 minutes so next time, I will spend more time on the painting. I'm just trying to paint without thinking too much right now. Just letting it flow. I'm gonna paint another one and pay more attention to the leaves. This is sooooooo different from painting with acrylic paint. I can't wait until I understand how the watercolors will act. It just does things. It's very cool and a bit intimidating. 😁 It's still a lot of fun and very relaxing.

Pulled the broccoli stem back out and tried again. Hooray!
This awesome custom idea of a porcelain doll monster was one of my best designs...but an overly ambitious and unwise execution involving a lot of unstable paint that peeled and wrecked the doll before her debut year of 2023 was finished. (I didn't use a base white doll; I tried to gloss her, the paint got sticky and peeled.)
Today, I know exactly what I'd do better--use all base white parts (Catrine is the sole option for my purposes) and treat yellowing if I have to, dye the spare forearms rather than painting to change their base tone, seal what I do paint, properly, (the safety/equipment for MSC is still an intimidating hurdle to me, though) and maybe source costume parts that are immediately closer to my vision, or sacrifice some visuals to get a design that lasts--I'm okay giving up on the glossy aspect, since porcelain, if not blue china like I aimed for, is often bisque.
While this specific doll was a dud, she was still beautiful while she lived and you can enjoy reading about her here in my original post until such a time as I remake her. Her ideas are all there. The implementation just wasn't right.
My legit reaction reading the second part 👀
