Stinky's Month of May Day 12: Leg

So far, canon has not stated whether Leg replaced Stinky's left or right leg. My hc (and I think a common fanon) is left, because:

There's an element of connectivity between different iterations' injuries (e.g. the cauliflower ear). Almost every iteration has a lineage that traces back to Ep21 Mike Walters getting his ankle broken by the Flinchites (side unspecified). Stinky is one of the few iterations who didn't. But Tex specifically had his left leg crushed.

A lot of the big injuries are on the left (which in occult symbolism represents the past, vs right = the future). Mike Walters cuts off his left arm at the shoulder. Is shot/grazed by Marissa on the left. Left hand stabbed stuck into the table. Grazed by his own ricochet bullet. Latvia Mike losing his left thumb. The aforementioned Tex's left leg. Lieutenant has a brain surgery scar on the left.

(bonus symbolism: the eye injuries are the exception: Latvia Mike, MDawg, and an Overnighter Michael all experience vision loss/Blindness gain in the right eye. Symbolically: a lot of Mike Walters' injuries are to protect or gain control over his past. But he also loses perspective of his future 🥔 I think it's neat)

Far more circumstantially, but there are a bunch of nods in WBG to Fullmetal Alchemist, which is a show I heavily imprinted on growing up and still rewatch to this day (both FMA and FMA:B). One of the main characters lost his left leg as a result of choices made out of desperate grief. So 🥔 adds to the meaning of the left leg for me personally.

I'm listening to I Have Been To The Future Volume 3 and It's Gonna Stink is really hitting me (hearing it just by itself versus in the flow of an episode I guess?) Like yep yep yep that's a lot of "I'm gonna slowly torture him to death" huh

really thinking about how Stinky heard that song played live in front of an enthusiastic audience of the Numbers and then had to keep up appearances omfg 😂😭

What if he loses another leg this season and gains another Leg... And then, who knows, an Arm in S19 and an Arm in S20? slowly being torn limb from limb across the seasons

TryLeg is so fucked up. Like, first things first, it's a prosthetic that, if you remove it, you experience a fate worse than death, and then death. Why would that be a feature? (And it's definitely a feature, not a bug.) Why is it sapient? Why can it turn blood into poison? Why does it (by default) shock you every hour on thh hour? Why did Bradford Beaumont license the tiktok tts voice for it? Why does it pronounce words wrong inconsistently? Everything about it is like.. this is not something a leg should do.

The Doylist reason is because it's fucking funny, but the Watsonian reason seems to be so much more insane than everything ive already mentioned in this post. There's a website for it. I forget the url but its probably tryleg.com? Or try.leg? Idk its 4 am and im wide awake
