I know October is over but I built something for the October challenge at GoS hosted by @littlelittlesimmies

CC projects ar still on hold but at least I still find some time to play and build lately!

I turned Ranch Retreat, a starter home from base game The Sims 2, and turned it “eco”. At least I tried. It turned out to be self-sufficient, as my hippie Sim Naomi GreenMachine can live off the grid eating fish from her pond, juicing her wonderful tomatoes, and paying her bills with money made on electricity generated by the solar panels + wind turbines. 

She can also roast marshmallows over the campfire.

I checked my recent(ish) Three Lakes posts to see what makeovers I had and hadn’t yet posted, and was embarrassed to discover I forgot to delete the bit of wall running through the waterfall. Oops. 

So here are some new pictures of the newly completed Lumber Mill Range renos, with all walls ending where they should. :) 

I’m still a big fan of that ridiculous budget water wheel. :D

The garden continues as it wraps around the side of the house and to the back where a small private patio awaits.

The Cottage Garden - Part 1

I took a lot of pictures of this so I’m going to break it up into two posts! This was a rambling cottage style garden I randomly felt inspired to make one day. This lot is obviously all about the garden - the inside of the house isn’t even furnished yet, and no Sims live here yet. This is a lot that will make me thankful I downloaded a no-watering-needed gardening mod.

It has lots of winding paths and cute little features like hidden benches and statues, and of course lots of plants and flowers. A really dreamlike place.
