I thought I would show a couple small screenshots I took of Adren and Joel's first house I built them! I used the loan mod to help them afford it and they officially paid it all of today in game!
Now that I know Im loving them, I'll prob start slowly showing them all with you! Its not going to be near as in depth as my past CH posts as this family is truly more for me, but I've been itching to share them with you all!
So the old post that I reblogged exactly one week ago which resulted in my primary account and this secondary tumblr being terminated for two hours featured these two pictures. Tumblr decided to completely delete the original post because they didn’t like that I linked to another site aka [Darasims(dot)net].
These are shots of a tiny bakery located in the corner of one of two buildings at New Resistance’s port market lot. This building is located to the right of the fabric/clothing shop in this post (see the last two pictures for reference), and the bakery is in the hallway just inside the entrance (door to your left in the last picture in this post).
In the original post I noted that this lot has two buildings flanking the main market. One is a storage building, and the one featured in these pictures houses three indoor shops along with the bakery. You can kind of see the second shop through the barn doors to your right.
So I mentioned the Darasims’ site originally to note the table cloth/cover that I used on @anitmb’s produce stand (which you can find on the NRAAS site (yes I’m scared they will terminate for linking to NRAAS now)). I added it with relevant clutter to give that particular stand a bit of individuality. I’m pretty sure that particular table cloth is part of one of Darasims’s sets, but do not have a direct link and don’t want to get terminated again, lol.
New residential lots in Pine Spring Valley. A good portion of the houses is built in the Craftsman style, but there's also a barn house and some cottages. There’s a mixture of styles, but they all have that countryside feel. I hope 😏
Pine Spring Valley was originally supposed to be named Pinewood Valley, but there’s already a world called Pinewood Academy and I did not want to create confusion. And there’s also a water spring in the world, so it makes sense...
Every new world deserves its own flag and RL cities/towns have their own emblems, so I came up with this design. Same happens for Port Valentine, only the design and colors are different.
And some pics with the interiors since I tripled the amount of time I spent in EIG working on them. What bugs me about my previous worlds (Maluka Island & Riva Island, specifically) is that at that time I made the houses simple to just be able to host residents and nothing more. I was just so eager to be able to play them just as I would any other finished world :D
But as I grew more experienced with world making, I started to want more and finally had an epiphany: “hey, cozy interiors are just as important as curb appeal!” So in PSV I used a lot of paneling, wood & stone textures; brown, yellow, green and blue. The sunflower vases are present in almost every house since the plant is representative for the world. Plus, decor details like rugs, curtains and general clutter. And in TS3 we have customization on almost everything so why not use it!? Now, my sims will be able to enjoy well furnished homes even when they’re out visiting their friends.
More info about this world and its community lots in the following days; as I’m about to reach the testing stage of the final version.
Here are more pictures from the Farming Town spin off series which takes place in @technicallyswagpizza‘s custom world Ainali. The original world features a rabbithole grocery store, and instead of replacing it with a custom lot from the internet or creating my own, I decided to try and open it up.
This was actually the first time I attempted this kind of build, and I think I did an okay job.
These exterior shots were taken in the wee hours of the sim morning, so I apologies if they are a bit dark. The interior shots which will be posting next are much brighter.
Here are more pictures of the port market in the New Resistance game series.
Although I posted testing shots of the market, the unmanned deco stalls, book stall, and the front of the tea stall weren’t featured or were so far in the distance they could barely be seen.
Apologies for the lit up lumber stand, I took some shots in build mode and didn’t realize my curser had it highlighted.
Here are more pictures of the Inn in my New Resistance game series including shots of the Inn keeper and his daughter. I think I am incapable of making even NPC’s without imagining a past for them. I’m guessing it’s the writer in me.
Anyways the brief story behind these two is that they are originally from a hunting clan based in the mountains. Dad, however, has fallen in love with a merchant and purchased the Inn near the port to be close to her. Daughter, not trusting her old man to be on his own, went with.
These pictures are just of the Inn’s first floor, obviously. Pictures of the actual rooms coming up.
The Burning Pharaoh’s edited cargo bay for New Resistance’s Expedition Spin off featuring my self sim standing back in the corner near the gem cutter. The has been a paused since I tested the edits. I was making sure I could actually access the functional aspects of the room in this case.
