this kit will require basic blender knowledge, mostly how to move meshes and transfer weights from one mesh to another (ea nails to the new ones)! each nail is about 300 poly, so a basic set will be in the 3k poly range.
each nail was made from scratch and uv mapped to its own shape. you can edit them however you want and simply "unwrap" since the seam is already made (the red line)!
**the nail shapes are not aligned to the fingernails themselves, you'll have to do that yourself.

This might be a long shot post (and if so I'll try asking via other avenues...) but does anyone maybe know why my cas tools is corrupting files I run through it?
Idk if it's cause I'm not on the most recent game update, or if it's me saving items as new package (because of the corrupting lol) but I updated program itself and it happens no matter what cc it is
I tried opening one of said packages up in studio to see if I could get anything there and the following error message popped up
Mind you, when I first downloaded the program, it worked just fine and I had no issues until recently. Idk if I'm missing something or it's the saving as new file or what and it's driving me up the wall😭
second update: solved! ok so update,,, i followed this tut but i'm still getting a weird shadow from the necklace i used. do any cc wizards have any pointers? O_O
Does anyone know of a tutorial that explains how to convert an item to ts4 that has multiple texture files? I already know how to convert an object that just has one texture file, but I'm at a loss on how to convert when there's more than one texture since you can't import more than one in s4s. Any help is appreciated!
is anyone else's child hairs changing colours? all my hair CC is up to date but only my "child stage" hairs keep changing colours. but what's even more peculiar is that if I go to edit them back to the original colour ... they are already the original colour in CAS?! i'm so confused
note: i'm testing to see if it only does this for CC or if it's also EA hairs. update to come
I am STRUGGLING with how gender and sex work with meshes in the Sims. I used two meshes, one for masculine frame, one for feminine, and tried to make them functional for all genders. And for the last two hours, I’ve been stuck here:
If I lock by frame:
trans-femme looks fine ✔️
male looks fine ✔️
female looks fine ✔️
trans-masc breaks❌
If I lock by gender:
trans-masc looks good ✔️
male looks good ✔️
female looks good ✔️
trans-femme distorts❌
If I lock by gender and frame:
None of the trans Sims get clothes ❌ ❌ ❌
If I don’t lock anything:
There’s two of everything and you have to guess which one is right ❌
Even using separate meshes, I can’t get it to work right. Am I losing my mind or is this just really hard? Is there a secret I need to know? orz Someone help
