nsves cc nail creator kit

dl | patreon | includes 8 low poly nail shapes (round, oval, square, squoval, almond, stiletto, coffin, and duck), hq base bake texture, and EA nails to use for weight/placement reference. blender 2.79+. more info & tou under the cut. nail as cc example used here.

this kit will require basic blender knowledge, mostly how to move meshes and transfer weights from one mesh to another (ea nails to the new ones)! each nail is about 300 poly, so a basic set will be in the 3k poly range.

each nail was made from scratch and uv mapped to its own shape. you can edit them however you want and simply "unwrap" since the seam is already made (the red line)!

**the nail shapes are not aligned to the fingernails themselves, you'll have to do that yourself.

some known issues with sliders and face profiles:

if min/maxing the face profiles, the glasses will disconnect with the button chain. you can fix this by adjusting the sim's profile or the nosebridge.

if the nosebridge is really high, it can cause the glasses chain to disconnect.

there's really no solution for this since glasses are tied to their own weight group while the chain is attached to the neck weight group

v2 is not restricted to fem frame sims, but it's not suggested to wear on masc frame sims since there's a 99% chance the chains will clip between their neck and shoulders! but certain cc presets/smaller sims will work fine, so no restriction.

rings: 6.7k poly, custom spec, and is not compatible with other rings. only for fem frame.

necklace: 1.3k poly, custom spec, and only fem frame. will distort with extreme poses! the chain will clip into necks for larger cc body presets. sometimes adjusting the sim's neck width or height will help remove the clipping.

earrings: 5.8k poly, custom spec, and works for both frames.

Hi, I hope this question is a straightforward one for you. I wanted to ask if you keep your game at a specific version to maintain compatibility with the s4s blender plugins and/or simripper. I find that the biggest obstacle (i think) when trying to make new meshes seems to be compatibility issues. Is this something you have to take into consideration when doing mesh stuff?

I honestly keep my game up to date 99% of the time since I dont personally have any major script-based or game altering mods, so updates dont rlly hinder me. the main reason why I try to keep up to date is to make sure my mods are compatible with it if im in middle of a project. if its not, I kinda let it simmer in the back or try to fix it if possible.

simripper ive had issues with bc it can just break with newer version-based mods (sometimes u can bypass this no matter how many error mssgs u get, idk the #Science behind it). if its a main point item thats breaking badly in simsripper i Need for a render, i usually do the roundabout way of exporting the mesh itself in s4s and applying it manually in blender. tedious and annoying, but it works!

ive never had any issues with the s4s plugin tbh? idk how it is in newer blender versions I stick to my 2.79b dusty cave...
