Howdy! We're Xan (he/they) and Dez (she/her), a nerdy couple who make cc, tell stories, and do builds. Our genres vary between goth, horror, sci-fi and fantasy/semi-historical. We're queer, and WCIFF, and everything we post is free.

The Fitting

Iona doesn't ask for much. She just wants to look pretty for her day--and while her mami's a tough customer, it's hard to deny that smile...

Kitten Update: Babies in Recovery

Hey all, Xan here. Just wanted to let you know the kittens got to the vet, and we have them on a rotation of meds and bottle feeding. They're starting to perk up, with poor Muffin being the worst off at the moment. I'll be bottle feeding and doing checks while I work today, but we're mostly out of the woods. (We hope.)

The final vet totals for Toast and her sibs came out to $1342.00 (Toast's initial $900 plus the others' $442). Which is…a lot, but we hope that's the end of it. We've made a little over half what we need to cover everything, and we're so grateful for the help.

Thank you to everyone who chipped in or boosted our call! You are all our kitten heroes. We owe you a silly lil present when we have the space.

Unfortunately, the others are now falling ill with the same symptoms. They need help and they need it now.

They're back from the vet. Three of four had fevers, but they're hydrated and medicated. They even got baby safe flea drops, thrown in for free, because our vet is an absolute G. (At least that part was free...)

Because we don't want them grooming, we had to make them sock sweaters. The vet was even kind enough to send some home for Toast. No one is happy. And Toast doesn't appreciate being dragged into this.

They're killing me right now. They look like a 90s fashion ad. Made worse by the fact that they can't stay standing.

Let's hope this act of public humiliation encourages them to get well.
