The alarm goes off at 5am. Time to wake up, throw on some jogging attire and head out into the early morning Newcrest. After a hard morning's exercise, Nancy heads to meet the girls at their favourite local cafe. It has a wide range of delicious vegetarian foods. Her favourite? The Buddha Bowl with honey and tahini dressing.

Like most school days Cozette Wren would come over not long after the bus would drop her off home. On this particular day she seemed a bit opposite of her usual cheery demeanor. Lawless quickly noticed her paler than usual coloring and saddened eyes.

Lawless plopped down on the bed beside her: Cosie..? Are you okay?

Cozette Wren sighed and shrugged, not really helping Lawless understand.

Lawless hesitantly: Did something happen at school?

Cozette Wren softly: Sometimes I wonder about where I came from is all..

Lawless gulped, he never really saw her like this before and didn't entirely know how to react: Have you asked uncle Jack about it?

Cozette Wren sighed again: I don't wanna hurt his feelings, I love my dads..

Cozette Wren: I don't know why I think about it sometimes, but it just pops into my head.. Stupid brain.

Lawless chuckled slightly, still a bit confused on how to react.

Cozette Wren: I know my dads love me and all.. It's just.. I wanna know what back home was like. [shrugs] but I don't think I would ever know.. I mean my family died..

Lawless: Maybe your dads have the answers to your questions though, I don't think it would hurt to ask. My grandpa says every question deserves an answer no matter how hard they are to ask.

Cozette Wren perked up a bit: That's very true.. Oh Lawless you have to promise you won't tell your mom or dad I have such thoughts. Promise?

Lawless shrugged quickly: Secrets safe with me.

Cozette leaned back more relaxed: Good, cause if you ever told I'd tell your mama about the fire cracker incident last summer.

Lawless's expression turned scared: No need, my lips are sealed.

Cozette Wren grabbed his hand: Thank you Lawless, you're the bestest friend anyone could have.

Lawless smiled: Wanna watch a zombie movie?

Cozette rolled her eyes: Solid no.
