this is a conversation about the trojans. a conversation between scared-to-death jean and bottomlessly-guilty kevin. in chapter 2. kevin said that. KEVIN. actually i am not normal about this.

Why is no one ever talking about how Jean spent three days in a box with only small holes for air that would mean no bathroom no food no water for three days how did I miss this on my first read

one thing I picked up on my tsc reread is that coach rhemann also knows about jeremy's fear/aversion/anxiety towards cops and he assumes jean knows too.

after grayson's attack, rhemann wants to call the police and jean refuses, and this bit comes up:

"Are you really good to leave it like this?" Rhemann asked. "We have security cameras. We can call the police."

Jean's stomach bottomed out. "No, Coach."

"Jean." That muted protest was from Lucas, of all people, but Jean refused to look at him.

"I'll send Jeremy away first," Rhemann said, like that somehow would win Jean over.

this makes me think that coach thinks it's only natural that jean would know about jeremy not-so-secret trauma with cops since they live together and seem friendly with each other (and jeremy is outside the room hella worried about jean), and it's weird that he doesn't. Everyone else in the room looks like they know.

also, I realized that one of the only times jeremy reacts kinda harsh towards something unhinged jean says is during the scene where they're all talking about the first raven that killed themselves:

"Okay," Jeremy said, so readily Jean could only stare at him. "If Lucas asks, I'll tell him it's off the table. Grayson can take his issues up with a therapist."

"Like Wayne did." Jean considered that. "Maybe he will also kill himself."

"That isn't a joke," Jeremy said, with unexpected ferocity.

Cat winced but kept her eyes on Jean.

is that related to the scandal on his freshman year his sister talked about??? and the banquet that went awry???? and his secret second brother (older than jeremy? younger?) that is probably death or gone somehow that we know about only because cat almost let it slip in front of jean???

I'm sure I have more notes on details about jeremy's past but im too lazy to look them up lmao I just NEED to know what's his issue(s), why even on his pov we don't really know what's going on, we don't have context, we are blind on that side, same as jean, and it drives me crazy.

Im mid clockwork prince for my TSC reread and Im coming to the horrible bone chilling realization that i have to reread TLH after this. Its just gunna be so hard to go from my FAV series to my least fav…. Idk maybe i will gain a new perspective having reread TID right before but who knows!

The Shadowhunter Chronicles 2026 reread, anyone?

And for my first act of love in 2026, TSC fans, listen up

If anyone is (like me) planning on rereading all of The Shadowhunter Chronicles in chronological order (since this is the first time we can fully do that) I am working on a series of 📚 files/maybe one file, we'll see, containing all of the TSC content (including bonuses and deleted scenes, and flashbacks placed in the middle of books moved to their chronological place) that let us do exactly that without giving ourselves a headache (although I am actively giving myself one)

So if anyone wants to join this rather insane little adventure me and a couple of friends are going on... hit me up?
