"Don't you mean, 'I hope I'm not imposing'?" the stranger asks. It's a friendly little challenge, said mildly, his light eyes scanning Charles from head to toe.

"Why for? I bloody well am imposing.”

CAPTIVE PRINCE - CHERIK AU

CALUM mac TAIGHÙR, the LATE PRINCE of GHLAIS or CAOL, THRALL of PRINCE ALRIC

The head-strong prince of the Ghlaisi people, it is said Prince Calum died the very night the King perished in a tragic fire. Caol's brother, Kane, now rules Ghlais, and unbeknownst to Caol, is the one who sent him as a gift to Prince Alric along with other court thralls. Caol must try to keep his sanity -- and anonymity -- under Alric's harsh treatment, but soon realizes that the only way that he can save his country is to try and make an alliance with Alric, who has no love lost for the Ghlaisi people.

Fashion and style is taken from Anglo-Saxon, Celtic, Gaullish, and Nordic traditional costume. The royal color of Ghlais is deep blue-grey.

ALRIC VI, CROWN PRINCE of RHINNE

Alric is the younger brother of Rhinnian Crowned Twins, Queen Vanda and King Petre, who fell in the border war near Amiehn, which became the Ghlaisi provience Aimeigh. Vanda was killed in battle in combat by Prince Calum of Ghlais and Petre by assassination at the peace camp. Rhinne is currently in trust of Alric's adoptive uncle, the Regent Sebaste. 

During potential peace talks between the new King of Ghlais, Alric is gifted an untrained thrall, Caol, named after the Queen-Killer himself. Alric knows just who Caol is, and takes out his frustration on him with great cruelty.

Fashion and style is taken from Frankish, Frisian, and Eastern European/Slavic traditional costume. The royal color of Rhinne is a rich purple-scarlet. The color of the Regency is slate-grey.

I heavily referenced some good good photos of the boys for some sturdy poses, but I don’t wanna talk how long it took me for the small 3/4ths Erik/Alric to look right for me. I cheated on our boy Charles/Caol and just wanted to see how he’d look like with a trimmed beard.
