Frequent Flyer TV Interviewed The Social Studies Club
The Social Studies Club is the moniker adopted by a tight knit group of friends and young entrepreneurs living and creating in Brooklyn. Our goal is to create an outlet to showcase our artistic talents and business savvy. We meet up regularly to sharpen our skills while networking and collaborating on several creative business ventures, which include; an online talk show, Join The Conversation; a female empowerment campaign, focused on highlighting the many talents of the Modern Woman; and small capsule collections that reflect the aesthetic and lifestyle preferences of our club members. Our online talk show, Join the Conversation (JTC), essentially captures the conversations that occur when The Club comes together to kick it. Each webisode covers a topic pertaining to the news, culture, entertainment, or natural living. The topics are discussed through casual conversation, drawing on a mix of personal opinion, facts, and anecdotal information; and in the spirit of community involvement the show’s hosts gives everyone a chance to share their 2Cents.
Behind the Scenes of the Modern Woman Profiles #wcw
During Women's History Month, March 2013, members of The Social Studies Club came together in attempts to create a nu wave in the global feminist movement. We originally dubbed the campaign Reinventing Wonder Woman, but have since began to officially refer to it as the Modern Woman Profiles. For us Wonder Woman embodies a balance of sensuality, bravery, and intelligence any Modern Woman can admire . So during the month of March the Social Studies Club photographed and interviewed our own modern day warrior princesses. We wanted to highlight women who prove that life is boundless when you find your inner balance and forge it with ambition. The ladies all got glammed up and had tons fun in front of the lens, showing off the natural sensuality that comes along with femininity, while expressing the many other intriguing facets of being a woman in their interviews.

CAN A NYGGAH SAY REAL SHXT ANYMORE?
Is our current state of scrutiny, of one's comments/personal beliefs, an impediment to American’s “Holy Grail” - Freedom Of Speech; Or are we finally holding people accountable for their insensitive behavior and comments?
During this month's tapping of The Social Studies Club's "Join The Conversation", we visit the topic of Political Correctness. It is our hope to capture a honest stance on the act of being political correct. Do we uphold the idea of protecting an individual/group from the feeling of being ostracized or offended, at the risk of censorship?
Our Tapping Will Take Place This Saturday Nov. 14th @ Leisure Life NYC
