Stories from the Tsunami by Broad in Japan
She lost her husband, daughter and son-in-law at sea but still continues her life making a difference to the community like she did with her husband when he was alive, and moving on after losing her loved ones is no easy task but she chose to make peace with the past and move on to the present. Something which I know is incredibly hard for most of us and yet she always put a smile on her face with everyone she encounters as she believes in the philosophy of Ichigo Ichie, where every encounter is unique and every encounter could be the last, so she intend to make every encounter lively and memorable.
She reminds me of a quote from a book I read, “A Samurai must take care that his spirit is never broken.” Ichiyo, is indeed a modern day Samurai, perhaps, the toughest one.
