Through the Fireless Flames is a (sci-fi) LGBTQ+ comic written and drawn by an LGBTQ+ author (me)!! The main character, Zere, has struggled from everything to boredom to romance, and now he has to struggle his way to come out alive. Updates every Thursday!

How Many Eras are There in the SEGASonic Canon?

Just a short entry today. This entry is inspired by a conversation I had in the TTFF Discord Server.

With such a huge number of characters and games, just how many eras exist within the SEGASonic canon, anyway?

For me, There are five eras, consisting of three classic eras, and two modern eras. Eventually, the oldest of the modern eras will slip into retro, which is bound to happen within the next five years; media ages much faster than people do. Also, as we go forward, there will be even more eras introduced, and the pattern of retiring modern to retro will continue:

Retro (Classic): 1991-1997

Retro (Modern): 1998-2007, 2010 (Sonic 4 only), 2012 (Sonic 4 Part II Only)

Modern (Experimental): 2008-2017 (Note the above exceptions)

Modern (Latent): 2017-2021

Modern (Fandom-Driven): 2022 (Sonic Mania), 2023-Present (Sonic Frontiers)

People are certainly allowed to disagree, but I just figured I’d share my own interpretation~ owo
