i need help with making environment/adversary features? can someone help me understand what game mechanics are actually manipulate-able through passive, action, or reaction features on adversaries/environemnts? i can come up with the flavor text just fine but need help determining game mechanic effects and stuff. pls help ;;;
People who know indie TTRPGS, could you help me find a system that checks as many of these boxes as you can think of?
-Slower paced, focused on characters
-My group is saying similar vibes to Wanderhome but that’s the only slow, collaborative game they’ve played so maybe take that with a grain of salt
-Flexible enough character creation to allow us to port in characters (these characters have all been in Oh Fuck, the Killer! and Kids on Bikes before so basically we need to be able to be regular teenagers who may or may not be in a slightly supernatural world)
-Based around or otherwise would lend itself to being about preparing for Christmas
I know this sounds so specific but we all got really attached to our Halloween oneshot characters last year and it snowballed into us now doing a Christmas special 😭😭😭
Edit: Also it’s 1985 if that matters at all lol
I wanna get into dnd/ttrpgs so bad, but I have 0 idea where to start, I've tried joining discord servers but they're a bit confusing, my brother refuses to run anything for me ragggggghhhhh
Could anyone give me some advice for finding good resources and finding some beginner friendly parties?
Tabletop Help #2 [ Dishonored RPG]
@buglich
1. Would you recommend the game overall then?
Honestly...Yeah. I totally would recommend it.
Now cause the game is rather new, it has its issues for sure. They don't include or explain certain rules for stuff like armor or ranged weapons very well. The already had 1 errata come out!
My party has run into these issues but were able to fix it a bit with "house rules"
As an avid Dishonored fan, I adore this game. Its really fun to play with and make your own dishonored characters. I also really like the character creation and EXP system. 16ish sessions into our current campaign and its fun as hell.
Hiii
I'm looking to set up a non-combat heavy my little pony dnd/ttrp campaign. Can y'all help me find a system that could be made into or already is made to be in an mlp setting.
I've found a couple already set in the mlp universe, but the races were slim(earth pony,unicorn,Pegasus only)
how to dm send help i didn't think i'd get this far
Help with creating threats in Apocalypse World 2ed
Hi! I'm playing Apocalypse World 2ed as the MC, and I have a terrible case of blank page problem. I played as a PC a few years ago and loved it, I've GMed other games and especially loved Dogs in the Vineyard, I was looking forward to finally be able to MC AW2! We made the characters, played one scene or two before running out of time, and now I'm preparing the threats for the next session.
And now I don't know what to do! Not as in, what I have to do, but how to create the threats.
I'd be glad for any help, even if it's just for inspiration or support :)
