And perhaps I was not timid but tamed

Sometimes I want to be ghastly and wild

Sometimes I want to be easy and vile

The exterior so tranquil

But a spirit not so intact

Somedays I wish that

I'll hold the world in my hands

But I'll not feel it, nor caress

I'll rattle it

Defile it

Give it back

everything it had given me

And that something inside me somedays just wants to see it shudder in my presence

And as soon as it surfaces I seal it with a smile or a laugh feigning innocence

And bury those vicious desires

Shuffle them back where they came from

Straighten the creases of my soul

Put a leash to the storm

I call upon the gods, "oh help me this time"

Let no wretched thought escape my mind

I can't entertain this hunger

This world doesn't deserve my chaos
