Bree gets the zooms when she comes inside sometimes, and today she was in such a play mood that I got to try one of the tug games I learned last night, and we had a really good motivated tug session!!! I could not keep up with the ferocity!! I was dead afterward lol. Bree was not. She’s got that terrier drive when she wants to, ya know? She’s actually a much fiercer tugger than Haley when she’s in the mood.
I really wanna get her tugging more, so I can use it as a reward in agility. I’d like to be able to run her FEO in trials to get her more used to trialing, but you can’t use treats, only toys, in the ring for FEO. So gotta get that toy drive up! I’m going to work on all the games I learned at the seminar with her. I think I’m going to try to video them so I can post here with, like, instructions for the games? That might be useful to someone? Anyway, I feel like if I could build some motivation, Bree would be a crazy little machine. I just have to remember to always stop before her, when she’s still wanting more. That was a tip from the seminar for getting the dog to always be interested in the toy - take it away when they’re still going for it.
