This was my intimacy choreography work for a community theatre “oops all women” adaptation of Shakespeare’s Coriolanus and I have peaked. The gay Canadian hockey gods have smiled upon me. This is what glory tastes like

“Roman Empire” but it’s the literal Roman Empire. In the live production I saw yesterday, Coriolanus and Tullus Aufidius were absolutely drenched in enemies to lovers trope tension

I thought maybe just the direction (on their knees, hugging) that made it gay, but the language is fruity asf too

Do my eyes deceive me or does that literally read “you make my heart beat harder than when I first had sexy time with my wife on our wedding” ???

I know we are quite far from a lack of proof that the main enemies in Coriolanus are very gay for each other, but I'd also like to draw your attention to the fact that in Act 4 Scene 7, Aufidius refers to the time Coriolanus has spent in his army like this

which implies that:

a) there had been some embracing done after,

b) this is the most important point that Aufidius is counting time from
