Hey I was just wondering if you are still taking requests for fics. I loved your Benjamin x preg wife fic so i was wobdering if u could write reaction of TURN bois with preg reader. Ty have a blessig day! 💛
I’m not sure if the fic you’re talking about is mine, I don’t remember writing a Ben x pregnant!wife fic, but it has been awhile since I’ve looked at my Turn content.
I’ve only recently started to work on Turn based fics again and even that is pretty slow going. I can try to see if I can come up with something, but I can’t guarantee when or if it’ll be finished ☹️
Passionate, to the point where you guys can barely keep your hands off each other.
I’m sure there’s a good reason for hiding your relationship with him, maybe your parents are like Peggy’s and don’t like him or maybe he feels like being with him would somehow put you in danger. Who knows. But that forbidden romance thing makes it even hotter.
After awhile of hooking up in random places, both of you are ready for something more and just waiting for the other person to give you a sign they want the same things
Here’s something that absolutely no one asked for or wants. So, I have no idea why I’ve been thinking about this, but here ya go. Enjoy.
These are my personal opinions.
Edmund Hewlett: He’s the type of man that your parents would want you to marry. Hell, they maybe even pushed you into dating him. He’s not a bad boyfriend, in fact he’s probably the sweetest boyfriend ever, it’s just the fact that you two are two very different people. A decent relationship, but no fireworks.
Benjamin Tallmadge: The one that got away. Ben is the man you occasionally think about and wonder “what if?” The two of you would’ve been perfect together, everyone in your lives think so but life never got the timing right. Possibility of getting together later in life. Possible soulmate.
Caleb Brewster: The guy you dated to piss your parents off, probably after the relationship with Edmund. Rebellious stage boyfriend. He’s the one who gets you out of your shell, pushes you into lots of fun (and possibly dangerous) adventures, forces you to experience life. Fun relationship, but not marriage material.
Abraham Woodhull: First boyfriend, possibly first everything. He’s likable enough, your parents are okay with you dating him, can sometimes border on “you could do better, but you could also do worse” type of approval. He can be sweet sometimes, it’s with him that you first experience the butterflies in your stomach type of love. You think you love him, but you’re young and stupid and so is he.
Selah Strong: First Adult relationship. He pined after you for awhile, watching you date a bunch of douchebags, but he was respectful and waited for you realize that those guys weren’t right for you. Eventually you would realize those guys were poor stand ins for Selah, he treats you like a goddess.
Robert Townsend: Quiet love, slow burn relationship. There are no grand gestures of romantic intent, just a slowly blossoming flower. The two of you are best friends, neither one of you wanting to admit to your feelings to the other, but everyone can see it. The relationship blossoms very slowly into something more.
John Andre: Love at first sight, you both fall head over heels for each other. For the first time in your life you can see yourself planning a future with another person. Whirlwind romance, neither one of you have ever experienced anything like it before, it is intense and all consuming. Sometimes it feels like your heart beats only for one another. He makes you believe in soulmates.
Lafayette: Vacation fling that turns into something more. I picture meeting Laf sometime after the death of Andre, while you’re on a trip to rediscover who you are without John in your life and Laf comes in and sweeps you off of your feet. It starts off as a fling, you don’t think your heart is ready for love yet and Laf is respectful of that. Eventually, Laf’s natural charms work their magic, he helps to heal your heart and you realize how much you care for and fall in love with him.
John Graves Simcoe: Someone you date after Andre dies. Maybe your friends are pushing you to get back out there and you date him because he seems like the polar opposite of Andre and you hope that it’ll help you move on. Not a bad relationship, he can be intense but a good guy. The two of you have a good time together and have some fun *ahem* experiences together, but you both know there’s an expiration date on the relationship.
George Washington: Graduate Student/Adviser Professor. He’s your adviser, the two of you have a lot of chemistry that you try to downplay because of the nature of your relationship. Eventually one of you makes a move, it’s a decent relationship that lasts a few months. He challenges you in all the best ways and you dig the aura of authority he has. The stress of trying to keep the relationship a secret becomes too much and the relationship ends.
Akindobe: You fall for your attractive neighbor. Flirty banter whenever you pass each other in the hallway or lobby. One night one of you gets locked out of your apartment, the super won’t answer or isn’t available to come unlock the door so you stay at the other person’s apartment. You become friends and soon more. It’s a good relationship, you seem like a good match maybe you even discussed taking the next step. You’re heartbroken when he leaves you for Abigail, but when you run into them a few years down the road you realize they’re perfect for each other.
Alexander Hamilton: He would be the cocky and flirty asshat of the friend group and you each like other more than you let on and he uses the attitude to hide his feelings for you. Your friends push the two of you into spending more time alone together because they all see that you guys are in love with each other. Eventually you both get your shit together and tell each other how you feel. You fall for the real Alex, the one you have to drag away from the office and who can clings to you during bad thunderstorms. He insists on writing you old school love letters and you save each one (you’d have soooooo many love letters). It takes a lot of working being with each other, since both of you are damaged in your own ways but also each willing to put in the work.
Thomas Baker (Ensign Baker): Oh, man. You literally running into him in a comic book shop (modern!Baker is a comic nerd, fight me on this). The two of you start talking about your favorite comic book series, suddenly you both realize that you’ve been there for hours talking/debating about different comics, tv and movie adaptations. Numbers are finally exchanged and the rest is history. He’s a sweet and supportive boyfriend, perfect relationship. He’s gonna propose at Comic Con, if he can he’ll try to do at the panel for your favorite comic related movie or show. Bonus points if you’re both in costume when he does it.
Benedict Arnold: Fuck this guy. No one likes him and he dies alone. He would be the worst blind date you’d ever go on. In fact, one of the other guys would probably step in to save you from this date. Maybe its how you meet Caleb, he sees how miserable you look sitting across from this asshole, so he swoops in and pretends to be your jealous boyfriend, cusses Benedict out and causes a scene in the restaurant. Benedict figures you’re not worth the trouble and leaves, leaving you and Caleb to have a sort of first date. A terrible blind date leads into the best blind date.
Can you do some turn bois head canons? Like little domestic things they do with you?
I apologize for taking so long in responding to this, I didn’t forget you! Apparently I can make up head canons on the fly, but the second I need to write them down my brain forgets how to work 😆 Also, I hope that I got your request right.
So, here’s my first attempt at head canons..
(special thanks to @thatadelemgal for thehelping me with Lafayette)
CalebBrewster:
He constantly sings to you
Whenever you’re having trouble sleeping, he’ll hold you in his arms and softly sing until you fall asleep
Expect a lot of “liberated” gifts
He’ll always be able to find those items you need/want
New items will just magically appear
You: Caleb, where did this come from?
Caleb: *does that cute head tilt & smirk* Do you really wanna know?
If you have children together, your nightly routine together will consist of the two of you tucking the children into bed
When Caleb tells a bedtime story, 99.99% of the time it will not be appropriate for children
“There are baby ears in the corn field, Caleb!”
He’ll make up for any and all inappropriate stories, with a trademark lullaby
Benjamin Tallmadge:
He is protective
Which means if the two of you are doing chores around the house, he’s not going to let you do anything he seems would be too much for you
“That looks too heavy for you, let me get it.”
“You’ve done enough for today, go sit down and let me finish.”
But it also means that if someone says something bad about you or hurts you, Ben will go after them like an attack dog. You should probably pray for them.
He’s been working on his own version of Washington’s death glare. It seems pretty effective so far.
You insist on doing his queue each morning
Come on, who wouldn’t wanna play with his beautiful hair?
You love taking him to parties/balls
A night spent dancing with Ben? Yes, please & thank you
Even though he says he hasn’t been to a lot of parties, he’s still a wonderful dancer
Alexander Hamilton
He writes you all the time
You literally have more love letters and poems from him than you know what to do with. You tried keeping all of them, but good lord, you would’ve drowned in a sea of parchment
If you have children together, he’s gonna pass down his talent with a quill. Invest in a parchment company.
One of your favorite things is when the two of you curl up together and he reads to you
Imagine being curled up together on a cold winter’s day by the fire and him reading to you. Heaven.
He’ll always bring home a new book that he says reminded him of you when he found it.
He loves the fact you’re able to keep up him
Lots of mock debates
He’ll say he let you win, but you both know that you beat him fair and square
Be prepared for lots of him whispering sweet nothings in your ear
He loves it when you blush. He didn’t think it was possible, but you’re even more beautiful with hint of blush on your cheeks
Lafayette
He is all about PDA
It’s hard for him to keep his hands off of you (not that you mind)
Despite his overall sweet and flirty nature, that all changes when someone tries to hurt you or any of his loved ones.
Super sarcastic and bitchy at first, but if they keep it up he might just reach Simcoe level scary if the occasion calls for it.
Because he never has to worry about money, be prepared to spoiled. Like a whole new level of spoiled, he’s gonna redefine the word.
If you even look at something for more than a second, he’s buying it for you, no questions asked.
If you refuse the gift, it will magically appear in your home and of course he’ll have no idea what you’re talking about (”This old thing? You’ve had it for ages!”)
He encourages you to continue your education and to learn more about the world.
Whatever subject you’d like to study, he’s going to make sure you have the best tutors money can get
Lots of nights spent talking about everything and anything
Edmund Hewlett
This man is hopelessly devoted to you, like almost to a fault
You’re completely perfect in his eyes and could never do anything wrong
Lots of nights spent outside stargazing
You’ve never seen him so happy as when you surprised him with a brand new telescope
He’ll point out every constellation, give you the name and the myth/story to go along with it
Romantic dinners at home together will probably mean he’s going to obsess over every detail (even if it’s not a special occasion)
Let him take care of the music & wine selection, it’ll keep him occupied
He’ll attempt to teach you piano
He’s an extremely patient and encouraging teacher
“Wonderful! You sound better than you did yesterday!”
He’ll always be on the lookout for sheet music for you
John Andre
He will recite poetry & Shakespeare to you
He’ll write poems just for you
He will probably stage an entire play for you
He’ll decorate the set himself
Of course he’s the lead, he’s just that talented
He’s constantly sketching/drawing
Usually it’s you he’s drawing, which he’ll keep for himself when he has to leave on assignments
You still receive a lot of his artwork and silhouettes
Your home is basically an art gallery dedicated to him
He’ll play you music
More than likely it’ll be a song he wrote himself, which is going to make your heart melt
Since he plays multiple instruments, you never know what he’s going to play for you
If you’re with him in Philadelphia, he’ll surprise you by playing Benjamin Franklin’s glass harmonica.
Request: “How do the bois (Turn) react to your death? Can be dead or dying.”

Summary: Just a bunch of different scenarios of the men of Turn reacting to the death of the reader.
A/N: Yikes, you guys. There’s nothing like going about your day thinking of various ways to kill off a character. I only did four of the men of Turn. If you really want me to do the other characters, please let me know.

Benjamin Tallmadge:
Ben spent his nights vividly recalling his last moments with you, the feeling of you quietly getting out of your shared cot in the early hours of the morning just before sunrise, while trying your best not to wake him but once he felt the warmth of your body leave his side, his eyes opened and began to search for you. He sat up beside you, pressing a kiss onto your exposed shoulder.
“You should come back to bed, [Y/N], it’s still far too early for you to be awake.” He whispered into you ear as he pushes your hair aside so that he can press another kiss onto the delicate skin of your neck, he could see your cheeks start to flush as he wraps his arms around you, pulling you closer to him.
“Well, my dearest Mr. Tallmadge, as much I would rather stay here in bed with you, I fear that General Washington will not be pleased with either one of us if I miss my boat into the city and I for one do not want to be drummed out of camp. I’ll only be gone for no more than a week, I promise. After that, I will never leave your side again.” You turn to face him, placing a hand on his cheek and softly kissing his lips.
Now more than a month later, after receiving no news or intelligence from you, he was being summoned into General Washington’s tent. His heart filled with hope that he would be greeted with your beautiful smiling face, he promised himself in that moment if you were there, he was never letting you out of his sight ever again. Instead when he opened the tent flaps, he was met with the defeated faces of Hamilton and Washington. His confusion quickly turned into a panic as he stood in front of the General while listening to Hamilton reading a letter out loud detailing your arrest on your way out of the city and how they had found the intelligence you had gathered on your person.
Before Hamilton was able to finish reading the letter, Ben swiftly stepped over to him and snatched it out of his hands.
“Please, Sir, I have to save her. We have to do something; we can do a prisoner exchange, anything. I can’t let them hang her. Please, Sir, not her.” Benjamin pleaded with the General as his voice broke and tears began to fall down his cheeks.
“I am sorry, Benjamin, there is nothing that I can do for her. I suggest you let Col. Hamilton finish reading the letter.” The General gently removed the balled up letter from the clutches of Ben’s hand and returns it to Hamilton. Alexander quietly resumed reading the letter out loud.
“…For the crime of espionage against the Crown, [Y/N] Tallmadge was sentenced to death by hanging. She was executed on…”
Benjamin felt sick to his stomach when he learned of your death and immediately blamed himself. He was the one who asked you to go into the city; no one would ever suspect a woman he told you. You had trusted him, and now he felt like he betrayed you. He promised he would always keep you safe and instead he felt like he put the noose around your neck himself.
Alexander Hamilton:
Alexander had written to Congress more times than he could even remember asking…no begging for money, supplies and reinforcements, but still they received nothing. This long, dark winter was taking its toll on Continental army, not only physically, but mentally as well. You were the one thing in this camp that kept him from leading an all out revolt.
On nights where you were able to convince him to join in you bed, you would cuddle together for warmth as he recounted his day and frustrations. You would lie beside him; your head upon his chest and listen to him vent and giving him advice when he asked for it. He was considered Washington’s right hand man, but you were more than just Alexander’s right hand you were his heart as well. He always felt the term better half was created with you in mind.
While he was focused on the needs of General Washington and of the army, you on the other hand were focused on keeping him sane and making sure he took care of himself. He tried his best to focus on you while you were together, but you would always change the subject, asking him about what Washington had him do that day or ask about the letters he still needed to write. The longer the winter dragged on, the more he was dragged away from you, more nights were spent trying to find ways to keep the army alive and ways to keep the war going, meant less nights spent next to you.
With the amount of stress Alexander was under, it was easy for him to miss all the warning signs. He put off your constant coughing and wheezing as just another camp illness, when he did express concern you always assured him it wasn’t that bad and not to worry. He somehow never noticed the blood stained handkerchiefs you kept tucked into the sleeves of your dress. He was increasingly falling asleep at his desk inside Washington’s office, so you never had to explain the fevers or night sweats to him. When he noticed your gowns beginning to hang loosely on your increasingly slimmer frame and how weak you were becoming, he blamed Congress for refusing to send funds to purchase food to feed those in the camp. On the occasions where Alexander was able to spend time with you, he wrote off your constant fatigue as the result of trying to be everywhere at once.
It wasn’t until he came back to your tent one night to find you asleep in bed, he noted how peaceful you looked; he didn’t think it was unusual at first it was late after all. As he crawled into bed beside you, it was as he went to kiss you goodnight when he finally felt that you were as cold as the snow on the ground. Alexander never realized he was screaming and crying until several other officers burst into the tent and attempted to pull your cold body from his arms.
Alexander was angry when you died.
Angry with himself for not noticing how ill you had become because he was so focused on his work that he neglected you. He was angry because he knew it was a selfish thing to do when he asked you to stay with him in camp. Because he had promised your family he was going to take care of you, but now you were being returned to them in a coffin.
He was angry with Congress for not sending the funds or support to care of the army, and with Washington for working him so hard that it kept him away from you in those final days and hours.
Most of all he was angry with you, angry that you would lie and hide such a secret from him knowing his feelings towards you. But above all else, he was angry because you left him alone and took a piece of him with you.
Caleb Brewster:
It was the middle of the night as Caleb sat in an old tattered armchair beside the fireplace, softly singing a lullaby to his two-week-old daughter, Helena. Holding such a tiny little life in his calloused hands gave his life a new meaning and purpose. This was going to the beginning of the life that the two of you had always dreamed about. A life the two of you had carefully planned out during those nights where the two of you would sneak out of your houses to spend time together laying out together under the stars.
It wasn’t always easy trying to make this dream come true, your father had wanted you to marry someone with more prospects than Caleb. Overcoming your father’s objections wasn’t easy, but you were a fighter who never knew when to give up. That was one of the things Caleb had always loved about you, he knew with you by his side the two of you could take on anything the world threw at you. The day your father finally gave Caleb his blessing was one of the happiest days of his life, it was only eclipsed by the day you finally became his wife and the day you brought Helena into the world.
As Helena starts to cry, Caleb gingerly gets out of the chair and begins pacing around the small living space, swaying the small infant in his arms, trying to soothe his fussing daughter.
“I know, my little dove. But we’ve got to let your ma sleep, yea? She’s not feeling well, and we need to let her rest. And so do you, you’re goin’ to meet your Uncle Benny tomorrow. Yes, so you have to save all this yellin’ for Tallboy.”
At that moment, Caleb turns around and meets the gaze of the exhausted doctor, who had a sad and defeated look upon his face. It was at that exact moment that Caleb knew his world would never be the same.
“I’m sorry, Caleb. She…she’s gone.” The doctor slowly stepped towards Caleb, gently taking the baby from Caleb’s arms before he flew up the stairs to your bedroom.
Each day since the birth of Helena, he refused to believe you were sick. You had just given birth, you were exhausted and needed rest. Just a few more days of rest and the fever would break and you would be good as new. But now as he sat on your shared bed, feeling his heart begin to shatter inside of his chest as he held your motionless body against his chest, begging you to come back to him as his tears fall onto your lifeless cheek.
Caleb felt darkness surround him when you died, like the sun and all other forms of light in the universe had been extinguished from existence. He held Helena, the only source of light left in his world, tight against his fragile heart as he watched your coffin lowered into the grave.
Lafayette:
If there was one thing that that Lafayette believed in with every part of his being, it was liberty. He believed that the Americans would win their independence from the British crown. He ran from his wealthy and comfortable life in the French court to help the colonies fight against their oppressors. The downside to helping the Americans fight for independence, was leaving you behind in France.
It wasn’t long after he arrived in the colonies that he began to send wave after wave of letters to you, detailing every waking moment of his life and experience in the America. You honestly found it a bit overwhelming trying to keep with sending him responses; he was off living an exciting, although a far more dangerous life than you would’ve liked, while you were safely tucked away in his Paris home, where the only conflict you dealt with was listening to endless amounts of court gossip and backstabbing.
Whether it was out of frustrations at your slow responses to his letters or just Lafayette’s emotions getting the better of him, his letter soon turned from accounts of his life, to flowery love letters detailing plans for you to join him in America along with an extensive list of all the things he wished for you to experience there. He talked of plans to visit with the man he thought of as a father, George Washington; he said nothing would bring him greater joy than to see his true love meeting his adopted father. How could you say no to him? After all, you missed him just as much as he clearly missed you. This would be one of the easiest responses you would ever write.
You wrote to him with every detail he could possibly ever need to know about your voyage; the ship’s name, when it was leaving France, the route it was planning on taking. About a month, you promised him; within a month he would have you in his arms once again.
On the date of your arrival, Lafayette was disappointed that he wouldn’t be able to be the first face you saw as you stepped onto American soil, so in his place he sent some his most trusted men to retrieve his most precious cargo. Days passed with no word from you or the men he sent to meet you. Days turned into a week later, when he finally received a letter from his men, stating that your ship had yet to make port with no word on its impending arrival. It wasn’t unusual for ships to be delayed Lafayette let himself relax just a little bit. “Soon.” Became his mantra, one that he was going to repeat until you were safely in his arms.
Almost two weeks had passed since he received the last letter from his men, when he heard a knock at his bedroom door. He opened the door to see the nervous faces of the men he sent to meet you at the dock, confused didn’t begin to describe what he was feeling in that moment. If they were here, where were you?
“I’m not sure how to go about this, sir. But I feel it might be best if you take a seat.” The officer began speaking, as Lafayette sat on the edge of his bed, he immediately noticed how the two men both refused to make eye contact with him.
Lafayette couldn’t even recall the rest of the conversation; all he remembers was how his world stopped spinning and time stood still. All he could retain from the encounter was that of a sunken ship, and the words “no survivors.”
Lafayette refused to believe you were gone. There was no way that the sea took you away from him, you would show up one day, he just had to be patient. For six months, he personally paid for someone to wait by the docks just in case you would arrive on another ship. He continued to write you letters everyday, some he sent back to France and others he kept just for him.
When he was finally able to admit to himself that you were gone, he felt like the most important part of him was ripped away from his soul. No amount of wealth, titles, or glory would ever be able to put him back together.
turn boys in bed? ooo i can def see ben being either hella sweet and gentle and loving or hed g o f o r i t. like itll be one or the other with him. if hes hyped up on adrenaline and desperate you best BELIEVE hed be all hot and worked up. gosh golly gee im blushing
Most definitely, encounters with Ben could go either way. I would have to say it would probably be up to Ben’s partner to take the lead.
