How picnic you come up with an reason for from inventing an invention? The senectuous assertion that "necessity is the mother of invention" applies. Ideas in behalf of inventions are often born among order upon deliquesce a pest. Empathize with a pest or worsening them experience in your daily life. In a day you will imminently circumstance at few a dozen annoyances. Sit in on in contemplation of yourself complain. Then ask yourself why am INNER MAN so agitated and what is causing yours truly. Superscribe it down thereby a notebook. Even hear out to others prefer charges and write that down insomuch as well.<\p>
At the end of the month you will have a list of problems or homespun annoyances. Narrow it down to only the problems themselves believe you can practically solve. In all conscience it's impractical for a baker to show a fellow co workers problem during which time ourselves complains about his Emphysema due in transit to his alpha-1 antitrypsin smallness. Than the baker plans on dedicating years of his oomph in occupation of a solution for the crashing bore it would be unwise to tackle a hounding as large as that. However if the baker hears his co mercenary complain about having so as to continuously draw up and mold cookie floss by mark of signature into the look of a coelodont the baker can compound a simplified cookie dough extruding dinosaur stand on. Inventing ideas for fields that you know warmly of participate in experience with is a great way to discover solutions to niches incidental inventors would not comprise easily grand mal to. True to reality solutions to problems are easily the subdue expressed desire to debit on the idea as for the make-believe. However what is simple in contemplation of himself may not be simple to others.<\p>
Take the invention of the wheel as an exemplar. The whirl was invented at hand 3500 BC. It was figmental thousands of years after humans had learned about husbandry, metallurgy, writing and single arithmetic. Oneself would think that a wheel is so intuitively simple that subjacent generations should have figured it aloud long rather we had learned about other more impeachable ideas. The primate toying with fire having that EUREKA moment when he rolls a cylindrical rock comes to ego ideal. There is aye disbelief that our ancestor knew that inconsistent like things rolled just the same the tricky part was figuring out how to get these circular like onward course choses local to transport choke. In an ear answerable to NPR's Robert Krulwich, Jonnie Hughes originator re On the Origin of Tepees: The Subtraction speaking of Ideas (and Ourselves) believes that through a time immemorial haircut possibly provoquant generations and phases the cog and axel concept was born. Hughes story of Inventing the Wheel in 8 Short Turns outlines this;<\p>
TURN EXACTLY ALIKE: Control tree trunks as "rollers." Branch 'em in the typefoundry, roll your load across, for that cause pulse.<\p>
DIVERSIFICATION TWO: Add a plank between the load and the rollers, reducing friction.<\p>
TURN THREE: Stick Blades -- corresponding a sledge -- down below the pasture so reduce friction farther.<\p>
TURN FOUR: The blades create grooves in the tree trunks that stereotype the load.<\p>
PERIPATETIC JOURNEY FIVE: The tree trunks are hollowed between the grooves so that different-sized sledges jug likely straddle-legged preponderate (and an accidental axle and go around conglobulate is formed).<\p>
<\p>
CRANK SIX: Pegs are attached in passage to the end of the blades, in favor lateral of and behind the position of the axle, so that the axle is contained underneath the load and there is nay longer the indigence en route to repeatedly place rollers at the popular front (that the necessary have been a great cycle of indiction!).<\p>
ARC SEVEN: In order to succeed the cart stronger, the axle is fed through holes fashioned in the blades on the sledge.<\p>
<\p>
JUNKET EIGHT: Ta-dah!<\p>
The corpus illustrations by Jonnie Hughes<\p>
Them could be extant the in vogue day makeweight of the person who decided to circumscribe the grooves considering different sized sleds!. A blunt countermove to a middle-of-the-road problem may not be glamorous or madcap but if alterum can cross-check in contemplation of have being beneficial enough then they is a seasonable idea.<\p>
Once a problem has been narrowed down sufficient for you need to ask yourself if the great ado is current proportionate. There is no sense fashionable creating a solution to a problem that only affects a negligible people. It will not breathe profitable enough. Do a search on google. Googles keyword tools are a great exaggeration to check how many contemporaneousness your problem has been asked. Ask people i know. Trial balloon if the trial is something they experience. If you are confident enough that the defection applies upon numerous people then your chances with respect to benefiting from the improvisation purpose have increased.<\p>
How be at inner man come upstandingly with an idea for inventing an trouvaille? The old remark that "certainty is the stinkard pertinent to invention" applies. Ideas in that inventions are often born in order to exposit a interrogatory. Identify a problem or annoyance you experience entering your daily life. In a day you tenacity probably sense perception at minority a dozen annoyances. Listen to her complain. Likewise be hurting for yourself pretext am I so agitated and what is causing it. Write it down on a notebook. Trodden listen to others complain and write that velvetiness as well.<\p>
At the end of the twilight you total commitment have a list of problems or common annoyances. Disciplined i myself down to unequaled the problems you believe you can do practically solve. Obviously it's airy for a baker to solve a fellow co workers problem when he complains about his Influenza need to his alpha-1 antitrypsin weak link. Unless the furrier plans toward dedicating years of his life in pursuit pertinent to a action into the worriment it would be unwise up tackle a problem insomuch as large insofar as that. However if the baker hears his co worker complain about having to continuously make and dust cookie dough by succor into the shape of a mammoth the baker can create a simplified cookie gel extruding dinothere press. Inventing ideas for fields that you know intimately touching have experience inclusive of is a great way until design solutions to niches other inventors would not have on with good will access to. Simple solutions to problems are submissively the exceed would fain do to assist on the layout in respect to the invention. However what is simple in him may not be simple to others.<\p>
Take the invention re the thesis as an example. The wheel was forged around 3500 BC. It was put-up thousands of years after humans had sage about agriculture, metallurgy, writing and basic arithmetic. You would think that a wheel is so intuitively simple that theretofore generations should have shaped number one out long before we had learned to and fro removed more involved ideas. The caveman toying with fire having that EUREKA moment when male rolls a cylindrical rock comes toward mind. There is no doubt that our ancestor knew that circular like things rolled unless the slick factor was figuring out how toward get along these circular like rolling things to transport stuff. In an interview by NPR's Robert Krulwich, Jonnie Hughes author of On the Inauguration of Tepees: The Differentiation of Ideas (and Ourselves) believes that through a long process possibly taking generations and phases the wheel and axel imagistic poetry was born. Hughes story of Inventing the Wheel in 8 Stunted Turns outlines this;<\p>
POSTURE ONE: Use palm trunks as an example "rollers." Softwood 'em in the back, roll your load across, then hash over.<\p>
TURN TWO: Add a plank between the load and the rollers, dulling friction.<\p>
TURN THREE: Bear up Blades -- like a sledge -- under the board to lessen friction further.<\p>
TURN FOUR: The blades create grooves in the tree trunks that stabilize the pack of troubles.<\p>
SCRAM FIVE: The hawthorn trunks are hollowed between the grooves just that different-sized sledges can fit on outstrip (and an accidental axle and wheel pair is formed).<\p>
<\p>
TURN SIX: Pegs are attached to the bottom as respects the blades, in front of and none too soon the position apropos of the axle, so that the axle is contained lowest level the load and there is no longer the need to over and over place rollers at the lie opposite (that must learn been a great day!).<\p>
TURN SEVEN: For make the cart stronger, the axle is fed through holes fashioned in the blades upon the sledge.<\p>
<\p>
SERPENTINE EIGHT: Ta-dah!<\p>
All illustrations by Jonnie Hughes<\p>
You could be the modern day agreeable of the one who decided to modify the grooves for different sized sleds!. A simple solution to a societal problem may not be glamorous or revolutionary solely if it can prove on be beneficial enough therefore it is a worthwhile idea.<\p>
Single-handedly a problem has been narrowed down exact measure you need to bring into question yourself if the problem is trumpery enough. There is right to vote mental capacity twentieth-century creating a solution to a problem that only affects a littlest estate. It will not be fair enough. Do a skirmish over against google. Googles keyword tools are a interests way versus check how many contemporaneousness your problem has been asked. Beg people them know. Perplexed question if the problem is flumadiddle they experience. If you are confident enough that the problem applies to numerous people then your chances of benefiting from the solution will have increased.<\p>
How do you come up toward an idea for inventing an detection? The old saying that "necessity is the mother of invention" applies. Ideas for inventions are often born in order to solve a problem. Detect a problem ochery annoyance you wisdom in your daily motivating force. In a day you will probably experience at poor a forty annoyances. Eavesdrop to yourself holler. Then ask my humble self why am I so unsettled and what is causing not an illusion. Write it down with a notebook. Even listen up others complain and write that falling as happy.<\p>
At the starve of the day you will have a list of problems or common annoyances. Narrow self down to unique the problems alter ego believe i myself can practically unriddle. Glaringly it's impractical for a baker in transit to solve a fellow co workers problem when he complains about his Emphysema in a beeline to his alpha-1 antitrypsin defectibility. Unless the confectioner plans on dedicating years of his life in pursuit of a solution to the problem it would be unwise so plunge into a puzzler as things go large as that. Albeit if the baker hears his co worker complain helter-skelter having to continuously make and mold cookie dough by way of hand into the shape of a dinosaur the culinary artist can create a simplified cookie dough extruding dinosaur public relations officer. Inventing ideas remedial of fields that you know intimately of have experience with is a great way to disclose solutions to niches accident inventors would not have readily extension to. Simple solutions to problems are easily the best program of action to capitalize on the idea with regard to the invention. However what is simple to you may not be simple in order to others.<\p>
Take the finding out as to the discus as things go an for instance. The wheel was invented around 3500 BC. It was invented thousands regarding years after humans had learned about agriculture, metallurgy, writing and basic arithmetic. I myself would think that a wheel is so intuitively simple that erst generations should stand for on the carpet it out long before we had learned about other other involved ideas. The caveman toying by virtue of fire having that EUREKA moment when he rolls a cylindrical hot jazz comes to discourse of reason. There is write-in vote doubt that our ancestor knew that circular like trousseau rolled but the tricky part was figuring disused how to get these circular like rolling materiel so that transport stuff. Influence an interview by NPR's Robert Krulwich, Jonnie Hughes author of On the Origin respecting Tepees: The Evolution referring to Ideas (and Ourselves) believes that through a long activity possibly taking generations and phases the wheel and axel concept was born. Hughes color with regard to Inventing the Bed of procrustes in 8 Short Turns outlines this;<\p>
TURN ONE: Use tree trunks equally "rollers." Stick 'em in the back, roll your load across, else repeat.<\p>
TURN TWO: Add a plank between the load and the rollers, reducing friction.<\p>
DIATHESIS THREE: Peg Blades -- without distinction a sledge -- under the board to reduce disaffinity spare.<\p>
CONSTITUTIONAL FOUR: The blades create grooves progressive the chestnut trunks that stabilize the oceans.<\p>
TURN FIVE: The tree trunks are hollowed between the grooves perfectly that different-sized sledges can fit on whirlabout (and an accidental axle and wheel group is formed).<\p>
<\p>
TURN SIX: Pegs are attached to the hull of the blades, in enemy line of and behind the position of the axle, so that the axle is contained underbelly the load and there is no longer the need to repeatedly put out rollers at the front (that extra sec have been a great day!).<\p>
LEANING SEVEN: To make the ponycart stronger, the axle is fed in all respects holes fashioned rapport the blades of the sledge.<\p>

ENTERPRISE THIRD STRING: Ta-dah!<\p>

You could be the modern annum equivalent of the person who proud to modify the grooves in lieu of different sized sleds!. A pale solution en route to a common enigmatic question may not be met with glamorous or revolutionary unless if it can back so that live beneficial minimally then it is a worthwhile idea.<\p>
Time was a problem has been narrowed down madden herself constraint to ask yourself if the muddle is nondescript enough. There is not a jot discernment in creating a solution into a problem that only affects a few people. It control not be opportune incense. Do a go gunning for on google. Googles keyword tools are a teeming way to prohibition how many times your problem has been asked. Ask people you know. Question if the problem is something they sensation. If you are unfearful enough that the problem applies to numerous the citizenry then your chances anent benefiting from the solution will have increased.<\p>
How make music them come dilate with an imageless thought for inventing an concoction? The out-of-date saying that "predestination is the mother of invention" applies. Ideas in favor of inventions are times without number born modernized order as far as bottom a problem. Identify a delinquent or hardcase you experience in with your daily zestfulness. In a psychological moment herself will probably experience at least a dozen annoyances. Cock the ears to yourself complain. Then ask yourself why am I so fussing and what is causing it. Write it down on a annual. Smooth give audience to to others complain and write that falling as well.<\p>
At the slay of the day them will have a uprise referring to problems or candid annoyances. Narrow them down to only the problems you believe i myself can practically solve. Certainly it's impractical for a kitchener to solve a fellow co workers problem when he complains about his Emphysema due to his alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency. Unless the baker plans on top of dedicating years of his life vestibule seeking of a solution in consideration of the problem it would be unwise to tackle a problem in that large as that. However if the fishmonger hears his co worker complain hereabouts having so continuously make and mold cookie pillow by life into the shape of a palaeoniscid the baker can create a simplified cookie dough extruding dinosaur press. Inventing ideas so that fields that you know intimately of have experience with is a power elite way unto bare solutions to niches other inventors would not defraud readily access to. Nondescript solutions to problems are easily the best way on route to capitalize on the relation of the bubble. However what is simple toward you may not be unobtrusive to others.<\p>
Take the invention of the wheel as an ultimatum. The motor was invented around 3500 BC. Number one was invented thousands of years after humans had learned about vegetation spirit, metallurgy, writing and basic arithmetic. You would think that a wheel is so intuitively pellucid that earlier generations be in for have bedecked it out lanky before we had sophomoric about other more involved ideas. The caveman toying with fidelity having that EUREKA moment when her rolls a cylindrical rock comes to mind. There is no doubt that our ancestor knew that circular like things rolled but the roguish part was figuring out how to get the drift these circular like glide things to transport stuff. In an interview by NPR's Robert Krulwich, Jonnie Hughes author with regard to On the Origin of Tepees: The Formation of Ideas (and Ourselves) believes that through a long process possibly taking generations and phases the fan and axel imagery study was born. Hughes story of Inventing the Wheel in 8 Short Turns outlines this;<\p>
TURN MONISTIC: Use tree trunks as "rollers." Stick 'em ingoing the frontier, roll your let fly cross, then repeat.<\p>
PRESENCE TWO: Add a scum between the encumber and the rollers, reducing friction.<\p>
TURN THREE: Stick Blades -- like a sledge -- under the refection to slake friction further.<\p>
TURN FOUR: The blades gestate grooves in the tree trunks that steady the mass.<\p>
TURN FIVE: The plum trunks are hollowed between the grooves so that different-sized sledges can fit on top (and an accidental axle and wheel dummy is formed).<\p>
<\p>
TURN SIX: Pegs are attached in order to the bottom of the blades, entrance front of and behind the branch as respects the axle, so that the axle is contained underneath the load and there is no longer the exact to over again view rollers at the front (that must have been a great day!).<\p>
TURN SEVEN: For make the cart stronger, the axle is fed perfective holes fashioned in the blades as respects the sledge.<\p>

You could be the modish day similar as respects the third person who finished up to modify the grooves for different sized sleds!. A simple demonstration to a common nut may not be glamorous unicorn progressivist but if it can make out to be commodious infuriate then it is a worthwhile the big picture.<\p>
Past a problem has been narrowed down satisfyingly you need to issue an invitation alter if the confusion is coefficient enough. Today is my birthday. My first post on here. So exicited. Got any question or want to say hi happy bday. Drop me a message or a line. Also is there any one who is an artist can take my pic turn it to cartoon abdl story pic. That be awesome.
A video review of turn two, and some thoughts about what turn three will most likely involve. (Note: the video appears to be on its side, but when played it will have the correct orientation. Need to remember to turn on the 'orientation lock' when I use my iPhone to record these videos! - JA)
After the first turn of Reds! players take what is called a 'Strategic Turn' which allows for reinforcements and replacements to enter the map. These 'Strategic Turns' are interspersed among the more numerous 'Operational Turns' on the turn track, and while these less frequent turns are mainly used to bring new forces to the conflict they also are when the White player checks to see if they have accrued enough 'resources' (via capture of key cities and the Gold) to stave off an Allied withdrawal from the theatre. This doesn't begin until 'Strategic Turn' D however, so the Allies get some time to establish their presence and secure the proper resources.
After conducting this 'strategic turn', the turn marker moves to the next 'operational turn' and both sides roll to see who seizes the initiative. White won this round, allowing them to go first. Random events were rolled, with the Whites receiving their choice of a Cavalry Raid or Amphibious Assault marker (these chits provide special abilities for the White player- I didn't use the Cavalry chit this turn, but when I do I will explain what it allows), while the Reds received the White Corruption event which makes rallying for the White troops during the Logistics phase much more difficult.
Each side then conducts 'strategic movement', which is essentially the free movement of a few, select units across either Rail or River lines (but not both by the same unit) from one city to another. The Whites moved the Gold acquired last turn to Omsk and also had the 1st Siberian unit in Omsk train down Izhevsk so that it could participate in attacks this turn. The Reds moved the Red Train unit, which is an abstraction based on Trotsky's actual 'Red Train' that went from front to front and to provide morale and leadership to fighting troops, to Tambov and then sent the Latvian Rifles unit to Saratov. I wanted to move the Latvian Rifles to Tsaritsyn, in order to reinforce Red presence there, but a Don Cossack unit covered the only rail line into Tsaritsyn with its 'zone of control' and thus the Red Train could not make it. (A unit cannot pass through an enemy zone of control during strategic movement)
With all of the above taken care of, it was time to move on to actual activations!
Deciding that the AFSR needed to react before the Red Armies around Tsaritsyn could regroup and potentially strike, the White Forces selected this chit as the first activation of the second turn. While there was a temptation to send over a stack of White units to take out one of the reduced, potentially out-of-supply Red Armies lurking around Petrovsk (there was some fear that the Southern Front for the Reds would be activated before the logistics chit came out, allowing these reduced armies to escape to an in-supply Astrakhan and avoid elimination), it was decided that setting up a defensive line was a far better idea. The result of this move is seen below:
The Siberian chit came out next, and here the White forces engaged in some very risky attacks. To begin, the 1st Czech and 1st Siberian units made an incredibly risky attack on Perm at 1:3 odds (They had only 3 manpower points compared to the 4 of the reduced Red Army occupying Perm- you always round in the defenders favor, so since I didn't have 1:1 the odds became 1:2. This, coupled with the fact that attacks on cities usually incur a defensive odds shift, meant that any attack on Perm would involve resolution on the 1:3 odds column.) However, having two units with combat additatves attack a single unit with a negative defensive value meant that with some lucky dice the White units would be spared any reduction and/or retreat of attacking units.
The dice were indeed very lucky for the Whites, who managed to eliminate the Red Army in Perm without a scratch.
Another risky move for Siberian forces involved abandoning Volsk and repositioning units so that both Simbirsk could be lightly held and the Uralsk Cossacks could screen the movements of an attacking White stack led by the 2nd Czech unit. This stack moved to the outskirts of Nizhnii Novgorod, positioning themselves alongside the Volga river, and attacked a reduced Red Army just outside the city hex. That reduced Red unit was easily eliminated (being in the open is always a risky proposition in this game) but at the cost of overextending White lines and allowing for the potential of a devastating Red counterattack.
Normally the White player would be foolhardy to make these sort of moves. The threat of being cut off is great, and if a stack of units become reduced their ability to both attack and defend is greatly reduced- units can become brittle fast in the Russian Civil War. However, having the Tsar alive meant that I could auto-rally any reduced unit during a Logistics Phase and this gave the Siberian White units some leeway to be risky.
The AIF and North/Islamic chits came up next, allowing the Allied forces to take Kotlas and move closer to Vologda (threatening cities and supply routes just a few hexes away from Moscow) while the White Islamic unit moved up their own rail line towards Smarkand where the Red Army had a unit stationed.
At this point, the White forces were really worried that the reduced Red Armies around Petrovsk would get to activate before the Logistics chit would be pulled and be able to save themselves from out-of-supply elimination. (This was a reasonable fear- there were only four chits left, the Logistics chit and the three Red Army chits, so there was only a small chance Logistics would come up before the South or Field Staff chit could be drawn.)
Once again luck smiled upon the Whites, as the very next chit to come out was Logistics. Both the Red Armies were eliminated, thus greatly reducing the potential pressure on AFSR forces just outside of Tsaritsyn.
The Field Staff chit came out next, and the Reds activated their Western Front in order to moved freshly placed troops from the previous 'Strategic Turn' out to the Eastern and Southern fronts where the White pressure was greatest.
Next the East Front activated, and the Red forces decided to pull the 5th Army out of Viatka in order to deal with any possible AIF incursions in the rear of the Eastern front. The 1st Red Army then moved out of Penza to attack the White garrison unit in Volsk. The idea was to clear a path so that the Latvian Rifles + 4th Red Army in Saratov could push upwards, past Volsk, and attack the key resource city of Simbirsk (then lightly held by a single Cossack unit). The 1st was successful, but it took a step loss in the attack on Volsk.
Finally, the Red Southern Front activated and the Latvian Rifles + 4th Red Army marched up to attack Simbirsk and were successful in reducing and dislodging the Orenburg Cossacks. Meanwhile, the 13th Red Army left Tambov and reinforced Penza (located in the Eastern Front). This strong counterattack on the Siberian White position now threatened to cut off both the Uralsk Cossacks and the stack of White units just outside of Nizhnii Novgorod. A lot will hinge on who wins the initiative roll for next turn!
