DEADLINE
Recently, a leaked casting notice hinted that Connor Storrie would star opposite Melissa McCarthy in a new film called Turpentine — and now, we can confirm that he’s in talks to star in the thriller from The Penguin‘s Craig Zobel.
No word yet on the role to be played by the Heated Rivalry star. News of his involvement comes following our story yesterday on McCarthy circling the project.
Based on a script by Justin Varava that made the 2024 Black List, Turpentine follows a deadbeat son who hires friends to rob his own parents to pay off a bookie, with disastrous results.
Welcome to Atlanta, Connor
Sounds like Connor is already in Atlanta prepping for Turpentine. Someone claimed to workout next to him at the gym this morning, which is understandably where people tend to spot the boys when they are in different cities.
It kind of looks like the guy is in Midtown, which is similar to West Hollywood (WeHo) - it is walkable, a centrally located hub for in-town living and, yes, like WeHo, is known for its thriving LGBTQ+ communities.
The movie is scheduled to film around Metro Atlanta May 11, 2026, to June 25, 2026, so being in Midtown makes sense location-wise. The traffic will be the wildcard, Atlanta’s is actually worse than LA, but it will feel similar.
TikTok - Make Your Day
had a hell of a couple days...did you know it's not ethical to renew a cat's prescription without a checkup, but it's perfectly ethical to let her die because their owner can't afford a 500€ visit every 6 months?

the aftermath of turpentine
hi sweeties! i hope you're all doing well. 💛 no one actually asked for this reading, but i found myself thinking about turpentine recently and got really curious, so... here we are
what is the current energy surrounding turpentine for connor?
this reading gives me the impression of a project that challenged connor creatively while also leaving him with a strong sense of growth.
how he sees the project: moon + dog
i really like this combination. the moon speaks of creativity, emotion, artistic expression, and intuition, while the dog brings loyalty, trust, and genuine affection. this doesn't feel like just another job. it feels like a project he genuinely connected with and still looks back on fondly.
what the project demanded from him: clover + tower
clover usually brings opportunities and spontaneity, while the tower demands discipline, professionalism, and structure. it feels like he had to make the most of unexpected opportunities while working in a demanding environment, balancing flexibility with responsibility.
what remained emotionally: whip + key
this is probably my favorite position. the whip speaks of repetition, intensity, and refinement, while the key represents breakthroughs and important realizations. it feels like something clicked creatively through the process, leaving him with meaningful lessons.
what he gained professionally: stars + ship
this is beautiful. stars speak of visibility and long-term aspirations, while the ship represents expansion and new horizons. this feels like a project that broadened his professional opportunities and opened new doors.
what we don't know yet: bear + mice
the bear points toward influential people or leadership, while the mice suggest quiet activity behind the scenes. my impression is that there are conversations or professional connections developing that the public simply isn't aware of yet.
trend: ring + fox
this immediately makes me think of professional relationships. the ring speaks of partnerships, while the fox points toward strategy and career decisions. it feels like the connections built through turpentine could continue benefiting him long after filming wrapped.
how does connor feel about turpentine now that filming has wrapped?
this tarot reading feels surprisingly calm. i don't see someone emotionally overwhelmed by the experience. instead, i see someone who has already started looking toward what's next.
initial expectations: queen of wands reversed
this gives me the impression that he didn't begin the project completely confident. there may have been uncertainty or pressure surrounding the role.
biggest challenge: the star reversed
this feels very internal. rather than something going wrong externally, it points to self-doubt or the pressure he placed on himself to do well.
emotional impact: the hermit reversed + ten of wands reversed
this combination actually feels relieving. it suggests coming out of an intense period of introspection and finally putting down a heavy weight. instead of leaving him emotionally drained, the project seems to have brought a sense of release once it was over.
professional impact: page of cups reversed
this feels unfinished rather than negative. almost like he's still discovering what this project will ultimately mean for his career.
how he sees the project today: page of swords
i love this card here. it feels curious, observant, and engaged. he still seems interested in the project and in seeing where it eventually leads.
what comes next: three of pentacles reversed + nine of swords reversed
this ending feels lighter than it first appears. while there may be delays or collaborations that don't immediately continue, the nine of swords reversed suggests he's letting go of unnecessary pressure and moving forward.
i don't see regret or lingering emotional exhaustion after filming. instead, i see someone who genuinely values the experience, believes it opened professional doors, and is quietly watching to see where those opportunities lead. it doesn't feel like an ending as much as the start of a new stage in his career.
